In fifth generation networks, Multi-access Edge Computing (MEC) enables deployment of applications with requirements for low latency and high reliability. In this paper, we propose an approach to handle mission critical calls using MEC technology. The approach is illustrated by typical use cases, data model, interface definition and call state models which are formally verified. The main advantage is that the approach does not require deployment of Internet Protocol Multimedia Subsystem at the network edge.

Erlang is a concurrent functional programming language designed to ease the development of large-scale distributed soft real-time control applications. It has so far been quite successful in this application domain, despite the fact that its currently available implementations are emulators of virtual machines. In this paper, we improve on the performance aspects of Erlang implementations by presenting HiPE, an open-source native code compiler for Erlang. HiPE is a complete implementation of Erlang, offers flexible integration between emulated and native code, and efficiently supports features crucial for Erlang's application domain such as concurrency. As our performance evaluations show, HiPE is currently the fastest among all Erlang implementations.

In this paper we use a high gain output feedback controller to control the induction motor (IM) by a sensorless indirect adaptive strategy. In contrast to pervious works, an adaptive high gain observer is synthesized to compensate the uncertainty of the IM model, furthermore it allows a full state estimation including the unknown load torque, given that the stator current is the only measured output. The states and parameters estimates are used to build up the high gain output feedback control law, which is designed in such a way to stabilize the controlled system including the observer and to ensure a global asymptotique speed tracking, even in the presence of parameters and state uncertainty. Simulation results were presented to show the above control strategy efficiency.

This paper presents a hybrid evolutionary algorithm to solve mixed-integer nonlinear bilevel programming problems, in which integer decision variables are controlled by an upper-level decision maker and real-value (continuous) decision variables are controlled by a lower-level decision maker. This hybrid evolutionary algorithm contains the mutation operator used in the differential evolution, the crossover operator as which the orthogonal experimental design serves, and the migration operator to keep the population's diversity. Simulation results show that the proposed algorithm can find global optimal solutions with less computation burden.

Aiming at the flexibility, mobility, scalability and other problems in current existing network architectures, this paper proposes a Reconfigurable Service-Centric Network(Re-SCNet) architecture to meet the needs of mass diverse customer service of the future network. Network function combination is one of the main directions to enhance the adaptability of the Internet. Re-SCNet mainly concentrates on the following three points: firstly, decomposes the network layer and transport layer into the atomic capacities which is fine-grained building blocks;Secondly, builds combination chains by combining atomic capacities dynamically inside the node in an optimal way, then forms reliable AS which can be identified and invoked by network business. Finally, a nonlinear integer optimal problem is formulated for the composition of atomic capacities driven by users' requests, and the dynamic programming(DP) algorithm is proposed to reach an appropriate balance between computation costs and optimal solutions. We implement the prototype system based on innovation experiment platform NetFPGA-lOG of reconfigurable network and verify the feasibility of Re-SCNet, simulation results show that DP has a better performance in time consuming, the number of iterations, and the utility value.

Cloud computing enables the realization of virtual business through outsourcing business functions to online services. Due to the large number of available business services and candidate cloud service providers, the configuration and optimization of the virtual business becomes a key issue for a service-oriented business ecosystem. In this paper, the virtual business is regarded as a series of service processes. Constrained service workflow net (CSWF-net) is developed to describe the component and structure of such service processes. Considering the dynamic and stochastic nature of services in a cloud computing environment, a stochastic decision making approach for CSWF-net is proposed in which the state transition of services is characterized as a Continuous Time Markov Chain (CTMC). Based on the four control structures of service processes, the dynamic Quality-of-Service (QoS) aware selection and composition problem is formulated as a Stochastic Linear programming (SLP) model. Mixed policies generated by the branch and bound algorithm and modified heuristic approach are used to solve the dynamic QoS-aware selection and composition problem at runtime. In the meantime, the most appropriate business services and cloud service providers can be selected to support the execution of the virtual business effectively.
