It is a hot issue to study on how to locate the resource efficiently in P2P networks and grid computing. Chord is a structured P2P routing protocol based on DHT, with the features of fully distributed, load balancing and availability and so on. But it has a poor performance because of redundant information in the finger table. In this Paper, OHChord was proposed. It reduce redundancy and improve query stability by two methods. Firstly, an improved finger structure is presented for removing redundancy. Secondly, adding a hot routing table for each node. Compared with the original Chord and partition-based Chord, OHChord can improve the resource retrieving efficiently. © 2011 IEEE.

Through the analysis of uncertainties of the durations, costs and rewards as well as the characteristic of frequent repairing in the mould and die manufacturing project, this paper proposed a stochastic evolution model of multiple mould and die manufacturing projects, which was on the basis of a discrete time Markov chain. With the aim to overcome the 'curse of dimensionality', an algorithm framework combining parallel simulation of heuristic policies with MATLAB distributed computing Server and Q-Learning was put forward to solve the above stochastic dynamic programming model. Finally, such an algorithm framework was explained with a sample example. The results show that the model is applicable and the algorithm is reliable and effective as well. © 2011 IEEE.

Current electric grids were designed a century ago for simple and limited needs. An electric grid helps the power generation company (PGC) supply electricity to homes and industrial consumers. Traditional electric grids have one-way interactions that make it difficult to cater to ever-changing and increased demand. The Smart grids (SGs) introduced the bidirectional flow of electricity and the exchange of information between consumers and PGCs. SG is a combination of networks of communication, controls, computers, and automations that allow its integration with emerging technologies. Blockchain (BC) is a digital distributed ledger (DDL) that ensures the security, reliability and immutability of data. The integration of BC and SGs is an emerging idea that could also provide a platform for community-based electricity trading. This study aims to review community-based energy trading with BC-based SGs and discusses the first ever community-based peer-to-peer (P2P) solar energy trading project, Quartierstrom, by the Swiss Federal Office of Energy (SFOE), Switzerland. The findings of this study contribute a valuable reference to the knowledge body and enhance the comprehension of P2P energy trading for both new and experienced researchers, enabling them to identify new opportunities and challenges.

Getting more power is seen as one of the fastest effective means for nations to develop and one of the greatest challenges in the world at present. Countries have changed their strategies for utilizing renewable energies rather than nonrenewable sources of energy since there aren’t many of them and utilizing them is terrible for the environment. Renewable energies are easy to get, never lose worth over time, and don’t depend on fluctuations in price. This means they can be used more in energy systems today. The electrical grid will have to change because of the most suitable location to position these resources and the best way to utilizethem. There is an approach to sort through which and how large to put DG (distributed generation) in energy distribution networks so that there is as little energy reduction, voltage-age constraints, distributed generation loading constraints, current limits, and distributed generation in filtration constraints as possible. In the first step, you need to find the distributed generation feature that helps each bus the most. After that, pick the best spot for the distributed generation to ensure it helps every bus most effectively. This method is able to be used to figure out the number and location of both single and multiple DG. For determining the most suitable area for, size and power factor of distributed generation in the distributional structure, the Coot Bird Optimization Technique (CBOM) is proposed. The suggested method has been tested on distributed Networking and IEEE 69-bus. The CBOM method that was mentioned is a good way to determine the best place, terms of sizes and power factors for distributed creation. It could also be used for other kinds of distribution structures.

Hybrid energy system generally consists of a primary energy source working in parallel with standby secondary energy storage units. Hybrid Renewable energy system (HRES) is a combination of one or several renewable resources such as wind, solar, biomass, small/micro hydro, with other technologies such as batteries and fossil fuel powered diesel generator (for backup) to provide electric power. HRES is an excellent solution for electrification of remote rural areas where the grid extension is difficult and not economical. A hybrid renewable energy system may be used to reduce dependency on either conventional energy or renewable system. This paper gives the design idea of optimized Hybrid Energy System for a certain technical college/remote rural area for a particular site in central India (Bhopal). For this hybrid system, the meteorological data of Solar Isolation is taken for Bhopal (Longitude 77°42' E, Latitude 23°25' N and Altitude 427 m) and the pattern of load consumption of load are studied and suitably modeled for optimization of the hybrid energy system using HOMER software. HOMER (Hybrid Optimization Model for Electric Renewable) is a design model that determines the optimal architecture and control strategy of the hybrid system. Validation of this result is through evolutionary computing such as GA (genetic algorithm). Our objective is selected as minimizing the total capital cost, subject to the constraint of the Loss of Power Supply Probability (LPSP). Studies have proved that the genetic algorithm converges very well and the methodology proposed is feasible for optimally sizing standalone hybrid power systems.

Fog computing plays a pivotal role in the Internet of Things (IoT) ecosystem because of its ability to support delay-sensitive tasks, bringing resources from cloud servers closer to the “ground” to support IoT devices that are resource-constrained. Although fog computing offers a lot of benefits such as quick response to requests, geo-distributed data processing and data processing in the proximity of the IoT devices, the exponential increase of IoT devices and large volumes of data being generated has led to a new set of challenges. One such challenge is the allocation of resources to IoT tasks to match their computational needs and QoS requirements whilst meeting task deadlines. Most proposed solutions in existing works suggest task offloading mechanisms where IoT devices would offload their tasks randomly to the fog layer. Of course, this helps in minimizing the communication delay, however, most tasks would end up missing their deadlines as many delays are experienced when fog node is deciding to process part of the task or offloading it to the next fog node. In this paper, we propose and introduce a Resource Allocation Scheduler (RAS) at the IoT-Fog gateway whose goal is to decide where and when a task is to be offloaded either to the fog layer or the cloud layer based on their priority needs, computational needs and QoS requirements and minimize round-trip time. The study followed the four phases of the top-down methodology. To test the efficiency and effectiveness of the RAS, a model was evaluated in a simulated smart home setup. The important metrics that were used are the queuing time, offloading time and throughput. The results showed that RAS helps in minimizing the round-trip time, increase throughput and improve QoS. Furthermore, the approach addressed the starvation problem, which was affecting low priority tasks. Load forecasting is an essential task in the power industry as an important means to assist the grid to balance supply demand. A large amount of user data monitored by smart grids can support deep learning models for load prediction, but accurate and fine-grained user data may reveal consumers' electricity consumption behaviors, which brings privacy and security issues. Federated Learning (FL) is a new type of high-efficiency machine learning between multiple participants or multiple computing nodes under the premise of ensuring information security during big data exchange and protecting the privacy of terminal data and personal data. Therefore, this paper explored a short-term residential energy demand forecasting method based on FL. The experimental data comes from the U.S. hourly residential base load. The federal forecast model was built on Pytorch, and we explored model behavior under different experimental conditions.

The fast improvement of the Internet has incredibly worked with individuals spreading information worldwide, prompting the Internet turning into a pivotal apparatus in many fields like science, trade, schooling, etc. With the Internet common in such countless parts of day to day existence, network security has become basic and requests consistent consideration. For this situation, an IDS's motivation is to recognize between real organization associations and possibly hurtful ones. The recommended method in this examination centers around an interruption identification and avoidance system that comprises of cloudlet Controller (CC), Trust Authority (TA), and Virtual Machine Manager to recognize questionable practices in a cloud climate. cloud clients are migrated to different regions in the climate, as indicated by our proposed approach. Whenever information bundles from different clients are gathered, network traffic happens. To resolve this issue, we assembled the cloudlet Controller, which gets bundles from different clients through switch. CC gets parcels until they arrive at their edge level; if the cloudlet is over-burden, the bundles are shipped off inactive cloudlets. In this philosophy, network traffic is decreased, and it is significantly helpful in identifying interruptions in a straightforward way. In this review, a cross breed arrangement based interruption location and counteraction framework on the cloud is worked to distinguish gatecrasher exercises in the framework. A cross breed characterization based interruption location framework is created with a few cloudlets, a cloudlet regulator, a confided in power, and a virtual machine supervisor to distinguish interloper assaults in the framework, as well as a deterrent instrument to safeguard bundles from gatecrashers.
