In wireless sensor networks, when nodes forward the data, its energy consumption include energy consumption of data receiving, energy consumption of internal circuit and energy consumption of data transmitting. This paper analyzes three types of energy consumption of fixed cellular orientation jump protocol （FCRP）, and proposes a method of transmitting data based on the minimum distance. That is, we can calculate distance between two nodes, and set the transmitting end power by the distance. This method reduces unnecessary energy consumption, and prolongs the network lifetime. This paper investigates energy consumption based on the minimum distance. On the basis of the research, this paper puts forward a new method for cluster-head selection.

The existing parallel DBSCAN (density based spatial clustering of applications with noise) algorithm needs to determine the parameter settings manually, and the datasets will be repeatedly accessed in the process of data partitioning and data merging, which reduces the efficiency of the algorithm excuting. Therefore, this paper proposes a parallel adaptive DBSCAN algorithm based on k-dimensional tree partition. It divides the dataset into several balanced data partitions by using k-dimensional tree, and carries out parallel computing in spark distributed computing framework, thus increasing the concurrent processing ability of the algorithm program and improving the I/O access speed. In addition, the improved adaptive DBSCAN parameter method is applied to each data partition for clustering analysis to obtain local clusters, which solves the random problem of manual setting parameters in the clustering process, and ensures the data quality of clustering mining. At the same time of creating local clusters, this algorithm also puts the mapping relationship between data points and adjacent points into the HashMap data structure of the master node, and uses it to merge local clusters into whole clusters, which can reduce the time cost of data merging. The experimental results show that the proposed algorithm can save about 18% running time compared with RDD-DBSCAN algorithm without reducing the clustering quality. With the increase of the number of cluster nodes, the running efficiency of the algorithm can be further improved, so it is suitable for processing massive data clustering analysis.

Ambient Internet of Things (A-IoT), which harnesses ambient backscatter communication, has emerged as a critical technology for sixth-generation (6G) mobile networks. In this study, we introduce a novel heterogeneous network-oriented system that integrates reconfigurable intelligent surfaces (RIS) with A-IoT devices. The system's complexity arises from the highly obstructed environments where signals undergo multiple reflections via the IRS before reaching the receiver, resulting in a non-trivial optimization challenge. To tackle this issue, we propose a sophisticated alternating optimization algorithm that leverages machine learning principles to approximate the optimal solution for maximizing system throughput. Our analysis assumes Rayleigh-distributed channel gains for both forward and backscatter links. Through rigorous numerical analysis and simulation, we delve into the intricacies of how various system parameters impact rate performance. The simulation results reveal that the integration of RIS in A-IoT systems significantly reduces the required transmit power at base stations while enhancing the overall communication efficiency. Furthermore, our proposed algorithm exhibits superior performance when compared to existing methods, achieving comparable optimization results with reduced computational overhead. This underscores its potential for enabling cost-effective, energy-efficient, and low-complexity communication solutions in future 6G networks.

A pin defect detection method utilizing an enhanced YOLOv5 algorithm was introduced to enhance the efficiency of UAV inspection on overhead power transmission lines and bolster the detection rate of critical device defects within the lines. Aiming at the attributes of a sizable image dimensions and small detection target of UAV, a cascaded three-level network detection method is adopted. ConvNeXt Block was introduced to build CNeB Block and replace some C3 Block in Neck. The RepLKDeXt Block was constructed in combination with RepLKNet to replace C3 Block in the trunk and Neck, and a depth of 27×27 separable convolution was used to improve the effective receptive field and higher shape deviation. A dynamic convolution ODConv was added to replace the Neck part of the Conv, and all four dimensions of complementary attention were learned using the multidimensional attention mechanism and parallel strategy. The experimental results demonstrate that compared to the YOLOv5s network, the enhanced model achieves a mAP@0.5:0.95 of 70.5%, marking a 2.5 percentage point increase, with an AP@0.5 reaching 99.5%. Additionally, the model’s computational load is decreased by 1, parameters reduced by 4.77%, effectively enhancing the detection accuracy of power transmission line pins while also improving detection speed.

Vehicle trajectory data is critical in the field of transportation. Its privacy needs to be protected, but not much attention has been paid to this. Federated learning (FL) has emerged as a useful technique to deal with privacy concerns in a distributed learning manner. Regarding large-scale vehicle trajectory data mining in the intelligent transportation systems (ITS) field, spatio-temporal characteristics are helpful to achieving better model performances; but there is a conflict concerning data sharing between privacy protection and the exploration of the spatio-temporal relationship. To better understand this problem, this paper designs a trajectory spatio-temporal prediction method based on FL named STFL. Different FL clients are trained together without sharing raw data while leveraging the spatio-temporal characteristics. In the overall solution, this paper proposes and integrates two different FL methods, i.e., space trajectory FL (s-FedWvg) and time trajectory FL (t-FedWvg) to form STFL. Several physical characteristics are extracted before training, and the weighted average algorithm is used to enhance the training process. Validation and analysis are conducted with the GAIA Open Dataset, demonstrating promising results using FL on vehicle trajectory data mining.

This paper presents an extensive survey of the security threats;its countermeasures and testing that are available in cloud computing.

This paper presents a novel mechanism of center control channel access (CCCA) in the IEEE 802.11 medium access control (MAC) protocol. The mechanism effectively combines the collision free with the fairly apportioning bandwidth based on demand. It abandons the use of channel sensing and substitutes distributed inter-frame space (DIFS) for short inter-frame space (SIFS) during the transmission period. Moreover, the mechanism based on center control solves the hidden terminal problem perfectly. We simulated the performance of the mechanism. The effectiveness of the proposed mechanism is thereafter validated and the results indicate that it can sharply increase the throughputs, reduce the average delay and packet collides.

Voltage fluctuations in distribution networks are usually caused by the stochastic volatility of photovoltaic generation system and load. The traditional deterministic power flow calculation method is difficult to assess the voltage risk. Moreover, traditional serial computing technologies cannot provide rapid voltage risk assessment of large-scale distribution networks. To address these problems, the probabilistic characteristics of PV generation and load fluctuations are first analyzed. Then, the corresponding probabilistic model is established based on the Newton-Raphson algorithm. Finally, an indicator to evaluate voltage risk is proposed by using the Monte-Carlo simulation. In order to meet the computing speed requirement imposed by large-scale distribution networks, a parallel computing platform based on Apache Spark is designed, and a parallel implementation of the Monte-Carlo simulation on Spark Resilience distributed Datasets (RDD) is established. Simulation results based on real-world data illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed voltage risk assessment for large-scale distribution power networks and its computational efficiency.

We present a distributed approach for grid resource discovery, which combines a structured view of resources (single machines, homogeneous and heterogeneous clusters) at the Physical Organization (PO) level with a super-peer network connecting the various POs. The proposed architecture is modular and independent of the particular grid middleware. After a general description, we present some implementation aspects which refer to the Globus Toolkit 4 as grid middleware and to the JXTA platform to set-up the super-peer network. The system is particularly suitable for discovering resources for structured parallel applications on very large grids.
