In recent years, with the rapid development of cloud computing industry, big data processing technology is also maturing. At the same time, the scale of domestic mobile Internet market is constantly expanding, the number of users has exceeded 500 million, and it has brought a huge amount of mobile Internet traffic data. Private cloud storage has become the best choice to solve the current enterprise security storage needs because of the unsafe factors such as data leakage, loss and storage instability in public cloud storage. It is an implementation of private cloud computing. Compared with public cloud, it has higher security and lower investment cost. From the current situation of mobile Internet, on the one hand, the surge of mobile data traffic has brought huge operating pressure to operators, which requires them to invest more funds in network construction and upgrading. On the other hand, due to the growth of mobile data services, traditional voice messaging and other services have declined. The cloud storage system can provide massive storage capacity to solve the problem of big data storage in the smart grid. With the development of cloud computing technology, cloud security becomes more and more critical. In the cloud computing environment, users lose control over the data and computing placed in the cloud server, and are uncertain whether the data is protected and whether the computing task is executed correctly. Therefore, in the smart grid cloud storage system, the problem of data security is an urgent problem to be solved. © 2022 IEEE.

With the continuous development of smart grid technology, smart meter serves as an important source of big data power. Its data security problem can not be ignored, and its privacy protection is the foundation and important guarantee of power grid security. This paper proposes a distributed dual-layer differential privacy protection mechanism for the two key nodes of the smart meter life cycle, the user side, and the server side. It is proved that this method satisfies the conditions of differential privacy protection. Experimental results show that the distributed dual-layer differential privacy protection mechanism plus noise mechanism will not affect the accurate billing of energy consumption. It eliminates the privacy problem of the entire life cycle of smart meter data and is perfectly realized which balances smart meter data mining and privacy protection. © 2022 IEEE.

With the penetration of distributed generation and electric vehicles, the randomness and uncertainty significantly impact the distribution network operations. Distribution network situation awareness is an important fundamental for the safety, reliability, and efficiency of the distribution network operation. At present, accurate perception of the distribution network situation is a challenge due to inaccurate modelling, lacking real-time measurement, and insufficient computing power. This paper investigates the key technologies of distribution network situation awareness. A digital twin model of an actual distribution network was constructed and super-resolution technology was employed to improve the resolution of measurement data. To demonstrate the feasibility of the proposed solution, a distribution network situation awareness platform was implemented based on the cloud simulation platform cloudPSS. The hardware architecture of the platform is also present and discussed. An IEEE-33 node system was used to verify the performance of the distribution network situation awareness platform, showing that the platform can significantly improve the real-time situation awareness of the distribution network. © VDE VERLAG GMBH ∙ Berlin ∙ Offenbach.

Security has been the primary concern for the 5G power trading private network, which involves a large amount of power trading information. The communication must be encrypted to prevent the leakage of important information. The communication encryption scheme for 5G power trading private network should meet the characteristics of small communication overhead, low storage space requirement and strong resistance to attack. Based on these characteristics, the dynamic key-based encryption scheme is designed. To ensure the security and reduce the computation overhead, the optimized symmetric encryption algorithm is used to update the shared key. And the dynamic key generation method is improved by adding random numbers to solve the problem that the correct transmission of the data link does not have true randomness. The encryption mode used can generate dynamic keys directly and synchronously at both ends of the communication, reducing the overhead of key exchange and eliminating the need for trusted third parties. The algorithm is also analyzed for security and efficiency and compared with other algorithms. The experimental results show that the improved algorithm enhances security with guaranteed efficiency. © 2023 IEEE.

The cloud computing adoption in e-health has improved health services and research. An e-health cloud deployment model for Indonesia have been proposed. In this work, we simulated the e-health cloud model and implemented virtual firewalls to enhance its security. We examined the performance of the firewalls under a distributed denial of service (DDoS) attacks. The virtualization environment for the cloud utilized Proxmox VE, and the firewalls applied a modified ConfigServer & Firewall (CSF). DDoS-blocking scripts are modified to block IPs from attackers. First, we investigated the cloud without virtual firewalls. The average time a server could survive a DDoS attack is examined. Second, the virtual firewall capability is verified. The result shows that the average time of a server surviving a DDoS attack is 197.26 seconds, with a standard deviation is 52.99 seconds. The virtual firewall managed to block the attacker's IP address, and the server could cope a DDoS attack. © 2022 IEEE.

In the post-quantum Internet of Things (loT) era, the use of anti-quantum cryptographic algorithms in a large number of terminals can effectively resist potential quantum computing attacks. The lattice-based cryptography has the characteristics of resisting quantum computing attacks, and will be an alternative to the traditional public-key cryptographic algorithm that is widely deployed now. However, the relatively large time complexity of the algorithm itself will bring considerable computational overhead to the edge computing chip in the IoT terminal. Polynomial multiplication is the most computationally intensive operation in lattice-based cryptographic algorithms, and the research on fast calculation of polynomial multiplication is of great significance. Using fast number theory transformations to speed up polynomial multiplication is a common method. This paper proposes a hardware implementation of a fast number theory transformation. We used multiple arithmetic units in the design to achieve parallel calculations, and implemented it on ASIC. The performance evaluation results show that our implementation performance is greatly improved compared to other implementation, and it can be deployed in edge computing chips to increase computing speed. © 2022 IEEE.

Power loss minimization, voltage profile improvement, reliability enhancement, and carbon emission minimization are major concerns of the distribution utility grid. In order to deal with the aforementioned concerns, this paper introduces a two-layer coordinated optimization framework for photovoltaic-based distributed generation (PV-DG) and distributed static compensator (DSTATCOM) in active distribution networks (ADN). It is composed of an outer layer optimization model and an inner layer optimization model, with the outer layer reflecting selection at the planning level and the inner layer representing selection at the operation level, respectively. For the purpose of managing the load and solar irradiance uncertainty, a stochastic module has been implemented. In addition, a better multi-grey wolf optimization (multi-GWO) solver was developed in order to tackle the issue of large-scale non-convex mixed integer nonlinear programming (MINLP). The suggested algorithm is validated on the IEEE 69 bus distribution system. The findings of the tests highlight how critical it is to find a stochastically optimal allocation of PV-DG and DSTATCOM in the distribution system. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd 2024.

An integral part of the new smart grid, battery storage is becoming an increasingly common requirement. Batteries are considered as an attractive alternative for other distributed intelligent energy resources because of their speed in responding to events like changes in renewable power or grid interruptions. Various research studied exist to explain about making money out of this talent. Any solution must take into account both the fast-paced nature of electrical phenomena and the more gradual changes in the relevant power markets. An area of AI called reinforcement learning has demonstrated promising results in optimizing difficult tasks with high degrees of uncertainty. As a result, the need for first-of-its-kind smart buildings is growing in tandem with the complexity of decentralized power systems and the widespread use of renewable energy sources. The initial portion of the algorithm is based on deep learning using recurrent neural networks to deal with the unknowns of power pricing and load needs in the future. The other method uses reinforcement learning to determine the best time to charge or discharge a battery bank based on profit, load, and grid peak conditions. This research study presents a reinforcement learning approach for battery scheduling, which is considered as a crucial component to meet the consumer objectives. The framework relies on a customer making a multi-criteria choice in order to maximize local energy production from batteries during peak demand. This will save costs by reducing the amount of power used by the grid. The reinforcement learning system used to choose the best battery scheduling actions uses predictions of available wind power. Consumers' understanding of what to do to maximize battery life in a variety of time-dependent settings is expanded thanks to the built-in learning mechanism. The firefly algorithm is used in the fields of image processing and task scheduling. The traditional design of this algorithm suffers from defects such as too slow convergence speeds and an easy tendency to fall into local optimal solutions. To this end, this paper designs a modified firefly algorithm based on the ternary optical computer, which has the characteristics of megabits, parallelism, and assignability by bit, and improves the classical firefly algorithm, mainly by using chaotic mapping for population initialization, introducing an adaptive dynamic step size, and making out-of-bounds adjustments to equilibrium. The experimental results show that the modified Firefly algorithm based on the ternary optical computer has enhanced merit-seeking ability and increased convergence speed. © 2023 IEEE.
