It is seen that Weather Forecast Models (WFMs) are often implemented using the sequential programs. This usually takes longer execution time, larger computer resources and more power as WFMs involve high level computational tasks to process large amount of weather forecast data. These become problems for the weather forecast companies in terms of WFM performance. The companies have already tried to use the multi-core systems to overcome these, but it does not work always because of the poor selection and implementation of programming strategies. By addressing these problems, a research project has been conducted as a case study for the weather production company named Weather2 Ltd. The case study attempted multi-threaded programming based on the multi-core systems as a different implementation strategy for Weather2's WFM as solution to their problems in using sequential programs. The results of the case study showed that this new strategy could improve the performance of WFM significantly by reducing the execution time, using less computer resources and power. This paper presents the case study and its results.

Graphical visualisation, Electronic Design Automation (EDA) tools and reuse of intellectual property are established methods for increasing the speed and productivity of FPGA system design. Many commercial EDA products for FPGA development use graphical visualisation of Hardware Description Language (HDL) code to assist engineers. However, these tools usually don't abstraction clock or bus signals. Furthermore, reuse of HDL modules tends to involve much time spent connecting a range of commonly understood connectors for the module to work;automating these connection tasks could save time and simplify designs. This paper presents a model-based rapid prototyping tool for use in SDR on a reconfigurable computing platform. The tool will facilitate a novice developer or researcher to develop and experiment with SDR processing applications deployed on a FPGA platform. A prototype version of this tool, which integrates with Xilinx EDK, is presented in this paper together with results of testing the tool by implementing an example FM receiver chain.

Contrast with the traditional platform, a Master-slave PGA based on MapReduce (MMRPGA) of cloudcomputing platform was proposed. cloudcomputing is a new computer platform, suites for larger-scale computing and is low cost. At first, describes the design of MMRPGA, in which the whole evolution is controlled by Master and the fitness computing is assigned to Slaves;then deduces the theoretical speed-up of MMRPGA;at last, implements MMRPGA on Hadoop and compares the speed-up with traditional genetic algorithm, the experiment result shows MMRPGA can achieve slightly lower linear speed-up with Mapper's number.

cloudcomputing is an emerging technology that attracts increasing attention as a high-performance and low-cost solution to process arbitrarily huge data and share them among different users and organizations. Nonetheless, this technology rises new questions on security and privacy, especially when working with highly confidential data. Existing solutions offering end-to-end security such as TLS are of no help since the stored data is only encrypted during their transport. Therefore, a message-level security must at least be applied to protect those data during and after the storing process. This paper investigates a novel solution for secure data storage in the cloud. It presents a security concept allowing each client to encrypt outgoing data on one's mobile device and share it among a defined user group while using a seamless service provision. As our concept is used transparently as well as independently on each device, users keep full control over their data and almost no changes on the existing infrastructure of cloud storage services are needed.

here, it is proposed to monitor walking disorder of any patient with the help of wireless three dimensional (3D) accelerometer based body sensors and its networks. We gather Ground Truth Data from the sensors, filter it, boost up it when required, then collect some important features and compare with the features of run time data using different algorithms developed by us. Where, for matching the run time features, we use supervised learning method of back propagation neural network. After gathering data, a prototype model of computation is developed which may be used in any motion disorder of any subjects like: patients, athletes, pilots and astronauts. The contribution of this paper is focused on to develop a model of computational processes required to monitor activity recognition system. The computing model developed is validated working over different walking motion disorders of different subjects and then discussed how this model can be applied in an organization to provide internet based online patient's information services with the help of Feature Server and Local Server connected by wireless radio link of Personal computing Devices like mobile phone, PDA, laptop etc.
