Binomial function is very useful in real time applications such as forecasting, computing profit and loss, defining ranks of students and probability analysis etc. We present here a parallel Algorithm for special cases of Binomial Series. This paper proposes an efficient GPU based parallel algorithm image reconstruction. It has been implemented on a system having a general purpose graphical processing unit (GPU), Nvidia graphics card GTX-275. Experimental results reveal that an image of size 256 × 256 with 90 projections can be reconstructed in real time with single iteration. The results enable us to use MART algorithm for online applications.

Nowadays, geographical computation presents to be distributed, parallel, and diversification application trend. Influence of problem scale and response speed requirement received more attention. And high performance computational systems, such as "TianHe 1-A", provides a new generation of hardware supports. In order to make full use of these high performance computational resources, appropriate and efficient parallel algorithms are needed. New parallelcomputing optimization technique of the geography is proposed in this paper by designing new parallel algorithms for slope analysis. We implement it based on CUDA. Experimental results with random DEM data in uniform distribution validate our methods.

With the rapid development of mobile networking and device capability, energy efficiency becomes an important design consideration due to the limited battery life of mobile terminals. Processing energy cost by CPU is one of the most significant power consuming components in mobile terminals. The emergence of mobile cloudcomputing (MCC) provides the opportunity to save processing energy through the way of offloading computation tasks to remote server(s). In recent years, considerable research has been devoted to computation offloading to achieve energy efficiency. This paper presents a comprehensive summary of recent work, investigates representative infrastructure of computation offloading, and analyzes key components and future design trends of energy efficient mobile applications.
