Complex decentralized applications, developed for emerging mobile computing paradigm, need support of mobile middleware platforms to enable coordination of active components of these applications. Recent works demonstrated that tuple space model can act as coordination medium for mobile middleware platforms, which are termed as tuple space based mobile middleware. Importance of these middleware are escalating day-by-day with changing network scenario, thereby demanding a better understanding of their current and future research directions. This motivating factor drives us to present a taxonomy of architectures for tuple space based mobile middleware. Proposed taxonomy is the new of its kind and is based on distribution pattern of tuple spaces within middleware and nature of identification of these tuple spaces. Multiple existing tuple space based mobile middleware are also considered and classified according to proposed taxonomy.

The Delay Tolerant Networks (DTNs) are a kind of network where a continuous end-to-end path between any two nodes does not exist. Therefore reaching the destination becomes chancy and time taking. Hence the existing algorithms rely upon making many replicas of the same message so that its chance of reaching the destination increases. On the other hand this also increases cost of the network due to so many replications. So another extreme is to use just one replica and route it through the network to the destination. But here chances of reaching the destination are reduced by manifolds. This paper discusses and provides a new routing algorithm that is a mezzo between the two techniques such that it gives a higher probability of reaching the destination than the single message method and at the same time reduces the number of replications.

In this we paper presents an approach for CPU scheduling when considering the multiple criteria with the help on Multi-objective optimization. Scheduling in operating systems plays a significant role on performance of System, But this performance may be degraded if we some special condition. In this paper, we use the Multi objective genetic algorithm to provide better solution. We have considered the two factors as over objectives first is optimal waiting time and second is the execution of jobs based on their priorities. Wireless Sensor Networks are extremely power constrained due to limited battery backup of individual sensor node. Because energy is a scarce resource, it should be conserved as much as possible. For better lifetime of network various energy saving protocols have been proposed. An energy efficient clustering protocol called Low Energy Adaptive Clustering Hierarchy (LEACH) is in trend. Although LEACH Protocol ensures sufficient lifetime improvement as compared to old traditional schemes, still there are some areas of improvement remaining untouched like optimum number of cluster-heads should be determined prior to implementation and the residual energy of nodes must be considered while selecting next cluster-head. In the present paper both of these aspects have been considered. Simulation results produced at the end replicate the improvement in network lifetime and thus prove the superiority of proposed schemes.

Multiple-Input Multiple-Output (MIMO) has become one of the key technologies for wideband wireless communication systems. MIMO channels are mainly used to increase capacity and data rate for any wireless systems. In this paper, we exploits the space and time diversity simultaneously to improve the performance of system under quasi static mobile radio channels A general Quasi and Rotated Quasi Space-Time Block Coded (STBC) MIMO structure is presented in this paper. BER analysis is presented in terms of code rate and diversity achieved using Quasi and Rotated quasi STBC methods. Further, simulations are carried out using above two STBC methods with various modulation schemes in quasi static Jake's channel model and then optimum coding method is suggested for 4×1 MIMO systems.

Information technology has eased the duplication, manipulation and distribution of digital data in recent times which has resulted in the demand for safe ownership of digital images. A very crucial concern for the content owners and distributors is copyright protection and content authentication. The solution to these problems is Digital Watermarking. The watermarking is the process of embedding a signal in to other signal robustly and invisibly at the same time, the embedded signal is called watermark and the other signal is called cover or host signal. In this paper we presents a brief overview of digital image watermarking techniques in spatial and frequency domain, proposed a watermarking algorithm in spatial domain by using the Least Significant Bit (LSB) method. Wireless sensor networks (WSN) continue to get tremendous popularity because of the increasing number of applications. Some times few sensor nodes are unable to send the correct data to the fusion center or to the neighbour node. Since the network is unaware of the faulty status of the node, so the performance degrades more. The data received from the faulty node can treat as outliers. So that a statistical test can be used to identify the outliers data send by the faulty sensor node. In this paper a neighbouring coordination based self detectable distributed fault detection algorithm and statistical Z-test is proposed. The proposed distributed algorithm is implemented in NS3 and the performance is evaluated in terms of false alarm rate (FAR) and detection accuracy (DA). The results are compared with existing algorithm and shows that the proposed approach gives better performance than the existing algorithms.

Web Services available “on the Web” provides unlimited values for the great number of online service consumers and Web application developers. With the widespread proliferation of Web services, finding the relevant services for clients and developers of service oriented application is a complex task. In this paper, we present the architecture with a service broker (registry) which facilitates an effective Web service discovery and automatic publishing. The proposed broker architecture crawls WWW to explore and publish the Web services with the broker. The broker facilitates Web service discovery mechanism which exploits the strengths of functional semantics, keyword matching, structural & syntactic matching and semantic. The broker architecture with automatic Web service publishing and discovery mechanisms is implemented and the experimentation reveals that, the discovery mechanism is effective in terms of Recall and Precision.
