All-optical processing (AOP) is an imminent technology and has great demands in optical computing and optical networks due to ultra-fast operations. Optical logic gates (OLGs) are building blocks of all-optical flip flops, counters, and memories and have been investigated relentlessly in previous studies incorporating semiconductor optical amplifiers (SOAs), optical filters, dispersion compensations fibers (DCFs), Mach–Zehnder interferometer (MZI), Sagnac interferometer, etc. The high speed and reliability of existing OLGs are limited in the techniques mentioned above. Therefore, in the present study, we demonstrate a 180 Gbps ultra-high speed reconfigurable and scalable NOT, And, and XOR gates using highly nonlinear fibers (HNLFs) in the MZI configuration and a phase shifter. The principle of proposed OLGs is cross-phase modulation (XPM) and self-phase modulation (SPM) in HNLF. Single parameter optimization (SPO) in Optisystem is explored to find optimal parameters of HNLF, rectangle bandpass filters, light sources, and photodetectors. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

The use of intelligent garbage classification methods and devices for waste sorting is set to become the future trend in waste management. With the development of high-precision image recognition algorithms, research in intelligent garbage classification has gradually matured. The core lies in utilizing image recognition technology to analyze garbage image information, thereby surpassing the limitations of manual sorting and achieving higher standards of speed and accuracy. This paper proposes a target detection scheme based on the introduction of the C2f_RepGhost module into YOLOv8, aiming to construct a model system for efficient garbage identification and classification. Thanks to its streamlined design and real-time response characteristics, this model can operate efficiently on platforms such as smart mobile devices, enabling real-time intelligent automatic classification of various types of waste. © 2024 IEEE.

Convolutional neural network algorithm is a kind of deep neural network algorithm, which has good performance of image feature extraction. It can reduce the large data amount of images to a small data amount without affecting the feature expression, and effectively solve the problem of low image recognition accuracy. In this paper, the structure of convolutional neural network algorithm is studied deeply, and a 10-layer convolutional neural network model is designed according to the requirements of computer image recognition. Through image transformation and backpropagation algorithm training, the overfitting problem in model training is effectively controlled. The experimental results show that the algorithm has smaller peak signal-to-noise ratio, structural similarity coefficient and mean square error, and the running time is below 0.13s. © 2024 IEEE.

This paper analyzes the vibration information dataset of a roller bearing under the whole working life cycle., collects the fault information and forms the corresponding wear model., wear modeling of bearing inner rings based on dynamic experimental datasets of vibration is derived by the fusion of Markov Chain Monte Carlo (hereafter referred to as MCMC) algorithm and Spearman correlation coefficient. In the face of the huge signal data problem in the data processing process., it is proposed to reduce the intermediate redundancy and overlapping process in the huge data by changing the sampling data through distributization and introducing the Effective Sample Size (ESS). Compared with the traditional algorithm can reduce the data access volume of 93% -95%., greatly reducing the complexity of the operation., improve the efficiency of the operation., and ensure the accuracy of the model., the resulting data model compared with other data processing algorithms have a better advantage of the actual error accuracy. © 2024 IEEE.

Real time data warehouse refers to a data warehouse that achieves real-time requirements in data collection, processing, analysis, and application. Traditional data warehouses mainly focus on batch processing tasks, which are difficult to meet the needs of real-time business analysis and decision-making. Therefore, real-time data warehouses have *** article studies and practices a real-time data warehouse construction method based on Flink. In the specific implementation process, real-time log data is collected through Flume, business data is collected through Maxwell, and peak shaving and decoupling of data are carried out using message queue Kafka. Using the Flink stream processing engine, build a real-time data warehouse to collect data in real-time from large-scale data sources, and perform Extract, Transform, Load(ETL) processing, dimension modeling, aggregation, and dimension degradation on the original data. Store the processing results in real-time in the data warehouse. Finally, the data is imported into Clickhouse based on task metrics and visualized for *** research objective of this article is to explore the design and implementation of a real-time data warehouse based on Flink, aiming to achieve rapid processing and analysis of real-time data, and solve the data processing and analysis needs in practical business. The test results indicate that the applied technology is correct, the software design is reasonable, and meets the expected design requirements. © 2024 IEEE.

The 2nd e-Prevention challenge(1) aims to foster innovative research in the prediction and identification of mental health relapses by analyzing and processing the digital phenotype of patients within the psychotic spectrum. The challenge offers participants access to extensive, continuous recordings of raw biosignals from wearable sensors such as accelerometers, gyroscopes, and heart rate monitors integrated into smartwatches. Participants are tasked with utilizing the provided data to develop digital phenotypes that accurately capture behavioral patterns and traits in patients. The evaluation focus on two main objectives: first, the detection of non-psychotic relapses, and second, the detection of psychotic relapses.

This study found that in static states, the device can accurately transmit signal data with an error rate below 0.5%, packet loss rate of 2% and signal-to-noise ratio reaching 24dB. However, its performance declines slightly during motion states, with increased error rate (1.2%), packet loss rate (3%) and decreased signal-to-noise ratio (22dB). The error rate remains around 0.8% for different heart rate ranges. Moreover, signal loss or damage leads to a significant increase in error rate (5%) and packet loss rate (10%). Latency tests also demonstrate the device's ability to provide timely health monitoring data with average latency of 10-15ms. These results indicate the device's high precision and reliability in interference-free conditions, while further improvements in dynamic environments are needed. The comprehensive evaluation helps understand the strengths and limitations of such devices. © 2024 IEEE.

Submarines are vital for military defense and national security in strategic communication systems. Power Spectral Density (PSD) characterizes signal spectrum frequency dependence and is crucial for analyzing broadband random signals. This study proposes a simplified PSD estimation method using the Welch algorithm for detecting weak signals in noisy environments, particularly in submarine communications. MATLAB simulations demonstrate that the Welch algorithm with a Blackman window function and 512-point overlap improves variance performance and resolution, especially in low signal-to-noise ratio conditions. The results underscore the algorithm’s effectiveness in enhancing signal detection in submarines. © 2024 Copyright held by the owner/author(s).
