In an era with very high standard on the performance of the car, all elements which can decide the overall states of the car are important. During the past researches, the main goal was to optimize the performance of the car when doing turns or lane change using computer models and algorithms. In this study, the primary purpose is focused on finding the suitable data related to car and optimize certain numbers as possible as we can, in order to perform the car with a more fast and steady way. To maximize the effort of the study, most of the simulation and calculation rely on Python as well as basic first-order and high-order numerical equations. Besides that, some of the foundamental dynamics and kinetics when describing the motion and state of the car were used in the study. There are three parts in this study, begin with depicting the overall physical models of the car using knowledge about dynamics. After modelling, using Python to translate our physical process in a code-present way, which includes different functions such as the angle of the car when completing the u-turns, the vertical force of the car and the overall numerical solutions of the car linked to forces and angles, etc. The last part is to analyze the simulation results. The study shows that when complete u-turn and lane-change, the most decisive variable is the chi angle, which can directly effect the time and the completed angle of the turn. Also, in almost every different initial data related to time, both the BMW and the Chevrolet cannot complete the u-turn which the sign is chi equals to 180 degree. When it comes to the lane change. The process is quite stable and can be easily concludes that the main determent is the initial data of the two cars such as the Moment of Inertia and the lengths to the center of the car. © VDE VERLAG GMBH ∙ Berlin ∙ Offenbach.

In this work, initially a rectangular microstrip patch antenna measuring (94.8 × 110 × 10) μm3 with a polyamide substrate has been analyzed and developed. The antenna has a bandwidth of 170 GHz (1.98 - 2.15 THz) and is tuned to resonate at a frequency of 2.08 THz. Its return loss is -26.733 dB, radiation efficiency is 92%, and maximum gain is 6.35 dB. In addition, the MIMO technology has been implemented to improve performance. Its bandwidth is 210 GHz (1.98-2.19 THz), and it offers a reflection coefficient of -37.75 dB, a radiation efficiency of 95%, and a peak gain of 6.01 dB. The substrate of the four-element MIMO antenna measures (154.8x170x10) μm3. The HFSS platform has been used to perform the modelling and simulation. © 2024 IEEE.

This paper discusses the need for a new meta-concept termed compound type, which represents composite structures in models that cannot be captured by traditional object types. Compound types allow for the expression of overt concepts that emerge from the mere coexistence of other modeling elements. This can be, in particular, seen in the example of trees that are instantly perceived by humans as a unit. The constituting nodes and edges are subordinate to this structure. The pervasiveness and relevance of compound types are illustrated in several more examples from various modeling languages and domains, including process modeling, Petri Nets, and ER diagrams, where concepts like processes, traps or ERD constructs are essential but not directly represented in the language's metamodel. By introducing the meta-concept of compound types on the meta2level, the paper aims to extend the expressiveness and functionality of modeling languages, ensuring they can handle these complex structures. This allows for "speaking" about compound instances within the vocabulary of the language, making them available to actors not exhibiting human cognition, i.e. machines. An attempt is made to neatly integrate the new meta-concept in the meta2model and put it in context to the established meta-concepts. In the end, composite types are determined as a means of operationalizing the model. © 2024 Copyright for this paper by its authors.

simulations in education provide opportunities for preservice teachers (PSTs) to experience a low-risk approach to learning the practice of teaching in a range of educational situations and settings. Given the challenge of recruiting new teachers to regional, rural and remote (RRR) schools in countries including Australia, having opportunities for PSTs to experience rural teaching prior to graduation offers a means of increasing recruitment. Further, simulation promises to better prepare these teachers through pedagogical strategies specifically suited to rural schools. We believe that developing realistic simulations to orientate PSTs to rural teaching requires an evidence-based understanding of rural contexts experienced by beginning teachers. It also requires understanding the kinds of simulations that would be most suited to preparing PSTs for rural teaching. This chapter presents both our original research on challenges, affordances and practices of regional and rural teaching for beginning teachers, as well as a corresponding review of literature on simulation. These insights are intended to inform future work on rurally-focused simulations and to help other initial teacher education (ITE) providers intending on using simulations to consider why and how they might begin the process.

Dominant seepage channels are formed after chemical flooding, lead to the low efficient and even non-efficient circulation of subsequent EOR methods, need quantitative identification. At present, dominant seepage channel identification methods are only judge whether there is dominant seepage channel in Wells, and cannot quantify the evolution process of dominant seepage channel between injection-production well pairs. In this paper, the streamline numerical simulation software is used to identify the dominant seepage channels quantitatively. Firstly, time-dependent and quantifiable fluid flow between wells, original permeability, water injection efficiency and water saturation were selected as the key parameters for characterization of dominant seepage channels. Secondly, the comprehensive identification mathematical model of dominant seepage channels is established and the weight of key parameters is given. Finally, the history of chemical flooding was accurately matched with the streamline numerical simulation software, and the key parameters are obtained. The distribution and evolution process of dominant seepage channels in chemical flooding process are given by comprehensive identification model. The results show that the calculated are high consistency with the injection profile of testing wells. This method can accurately identification the plugging layers of dominant seepage channels.

This paper delves into the Multidepot Multiple Travelling Salesman Problem (MDMTSP), an extension of the TSP that presents additional complexities. A review of the state of the art is performed, from which a MDMTSP mixed integer linear programming model is extracted. For this model, a new objective function and new variables are added to cover the need to balance the number of cities to be visited by each salesman. Various strategies are also investigated to reduce the computation times associated with the NP-Hard MDMTSP. The proposed mathematical model is not only an abstract theory, but will also be integrated into the AI-Delivery Optimiser solution of the AIDEAS project. This integration represents a step towards the manufacturing industry of the future, where artificial intelligence and process optimisation will work together to drive competitiveness and business success.

Optical Character Recognition (OCR) has become the well known accepted automated recognition technology that can be used within a variety of functions that converts documents or pictures to modifiable as well as analyzed information. Because they possess a clearly specified form and size, characters that are in print are simple to identify. But is never the situation with handwritten writing. Because each person's handwriting is unique, OCR has trouble reading the characters. This study provides a two-stage process in this work for the identification and categorization of handwritten digits. Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs) serve as the basis for the categorization. The recognition of the input number is the initial step in the process. The second step is to determine the language the input number originated from. Python is used to carry out the research work on the MNIST database of handwritten numbers. The simulation's findings demonstrate an efficient performance with a near-perfect identification rate. This study has attained 99.5% training accuracy, 99% testing accuracy, and a training loss of 1.5%. © 2023 IEEE.

The application of virtual simulation teaching system in physical education teaching in colleges and universities is an inevitable trend of the integration of information technology and physical education teaching. Moving heat source problems are commonly seen in many manufacturing applications, such as machining, laser cutting, welding, and additive manufacturing processes, while numerical modeling often takes time to analyze. A data-driven framework for predicting the spatial-temporal temperature response of a moving heat source has been developed to address the need for real-time temperature prediction of a moving heat source. This paper presents a method to reduce the training data requirements and improve the overall efficiency and accuracy of such a framework. This process, referred to as the boundary-focused training approach, is a type of active learning approach which allows for further scalability of the framework to large and/or complicated geometries by using a clustering approach to classify the spatial data according to differences in its thermal response. Then, a tandem learning approach is adopted to train a series of neural networks for each respective cluster. This boundary-focused training approach is implemented on two materials with different thermal diffusivities to evaluate the suitability of this framework in various contexts. The boundary-focused method showed improvement on the boundary-adjacent cases.
