The process of recognizing abnormalities or defects in fabric is termed Fabric defect detection. Fabric defects may arise because of several factors like wear and tear, manufacturing errors, and damage during transportation. Finding such defects is vital to guarantee the durability and quality of the finished product. Among several image classifier tasks, Deep learning (DL) is considered a successful one and has been implemented in fabric defect detection. Therefore, this study develops an Improved Dragonfly optimization with Deep Learning based Fabric Defect Classification (IDFODL-FDC) technique. The proposed IDFODL-FDC technique categorizes the fabric images as defective or not. To do this, the IDFODLFDC technique employs feature extractor based on MobileNet model. In addition, the hyperparameter tuning of the MobileNet model performed via the IDFO technique. Finally, extreme gradient boosting (XGBoost) method is used for fabric defect classification. A series of experiments have been conducted to reveal the enhanced performance of the IDFODL-FDC method. The simulation values stated that the IDFODL-FDC method for fabric defect detection demonstrated good performance and has the potential to increase the efficiency and accuracy of quality control processes in the textile industry. © 2023 IEEE.

Group communication plays a vital role in our interconnected society, facilitating efficient and secure data exchange among multiple endpoints. The issue pertains to the intricate nature that emerges within the limited settings of the Internet of Things and sensor networks. GKM plays a crucial role in maintaining security in group communication schemes. Existing GKM schemes commonly rely on public-key cryptography, which may be susceptible to potential threats posed by quantum computers. This study investigated the usage of post-quantum GKM schemes in the realm of IoTs. To enhance communication security and efficiency in the era of quantum computing, we made significant progress in implementing a post-quantum GKM scheme. Specifically, we have chosen the SABER Key Encapsulation Mechanism, which is one of the four finalists in the National Institute for Standards and Technology (NIST) process. We also present preliminary simulation results for our scheme. © 2023 IEEE.

The computer-aided design is the most important of the costume designing, and it is the power source of the contemporary costume design development. Through three-dimensional image analysis and simulation of costume design, can realize the enterprise mass customization production, enhancing the economic efficiency of enterprises. In this paper, the application and realization of three-dimensional virtual garment technology based on two-dimensional hand drawing is studied, and a quadrilateral mesh algorithm based on the regular grid method is applied to realize the transformation of two-dimensional clothing sheet to three-dimensional flexible surface, and the stitching process of three-dimensional virtual garments is given. Experimental results showed that the proposed method can accurately predict the rationality of different types of apparel design. © 2023 IEEE.

Validation and verification of autonomous vehicles is a vexing research challenge. PolyVerif, an open-source validation and verification framework, is designed to accelerate research in this area. PolyVerif presents a comprehensive open-source validation and verification stack, including an autonomous vehicle engine, symbolic test generation, simulation at different fidelity levels, a digital twin creation environment, and a process for transitioning from simulation tests to physical tests. One of the key challenges for the validation and verification of autonomous vehicles is to construct a modular design for the test flows. Modular validation is critical to building an inductive argument for system correctness. Today, these techniques are not easily available to validation researchers or engineers due to the lack of visibility into the internals of an autonomous vehicle stack and the lack of standard definitions for these interface points. The realm of open-source allows for both visibility and experimentation to develop these very important interfaces. This paper introduces PolyFlows, the modular "Design for Test"framework in PolyVerif, focused on the main pieces of the complex autonomous vehicle stack: Detection, Location Services, Control, and Path Planning. PolyFlows creates open-source modular validation structures that can be used to check the precision of the intricate autonomous vehicle stack. The paper also presents the use of this framework in the Jacksonville Transportation Authority Ultimate Urban Circulator project, which is contributed to the open-source PolyVerif repository. © 2024 IEEE.

When designing complex systems with high security requirements, it is essential to use reliable formal modeling methods to verify whether the resulting system is what the designer wants. This paper presents a case study of an elevator system based on Event-B and Rodin platform. Event-B method is a formal modeling method based on set theory and predicate logic. Its main features are layer by layer refinement and theorem proof. Event-B is supported by Rodin platform. We use ProB to perform animation simulation and model check on the machine to ensure the correctness and effectiveness of the model. Finally, BMotionWeb is used to visualize the model to further enhance the model's comprehensibility and interactivity, so that designers can find hidden errors more quickly. © 2022 IEEE.

Due to the hydraulic characteristics of the runner, the hydraulic transition process of the pumped-storage hydroelectricity is complicated, and it has a greater impact on the safe operation of the waterway system. Therefore, simulation and analysis of the hydraulic transition process are essential when designing a pumped-storage hydroelectricity. Based on the four-image characteristic curve of the pump-turbine runner of a pumped-storage hydroelectricity with double surge tanks, guide vane closing laws, and the layout of the water delivery system, this paper conducts computer simulation and analysis of the hydraulic transition process of the power delivery system. This paper also presents how the representative parameters (e.g. unit rotation speed and pressure in the water delivery system) of the water delivery system change in various cases. The results show that the various indexes of the hydraulic process of the pumped-storage hydroelectricity meet the control requirements. This paper also provides the optimization to the design of the water delivery system of the pumped-storage hydroelectricity. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

With the progress of the research on MEMS, the traditional industry and fluid mechanics research of flow sensor reach to the high level of integration, miniaturization, high precision, high reliability direction. At the same time, the development of life science greatly promoted for microfluidics, study subjects such as biology, medicine, health have also improved the development of new type micro flow sensor. Micro flow sensor has become an important research direction. In this paper, based on the MEMS manufacturing process, a flow sensor with a titanium layer of 300 nm is designed and simulated by using FEM software in the environment of machining thickness of 100 nm grade and flow rate of microliter grade. simulation result shows that when applying a flow rate of 10μL/min, temperature difference ΔT between the two temperature sensors is about 12°C to 14°C. © 2022 IEEE.

The target feature analysis is essential for sea based launch vehicle tracking and control. The analysis method is performed with recognizing gain changes of telemetry antenna pattern in task usually and computing the automatic gain control (AGC) signal received by TT &C station manually. Aiming at the problems of low efficiency, complicated process and human errors, the method is discussed for a simulation analysis of tracking and control link level in launch vehicle based on STK, which elaborated emphatically for generating the electromagnetic field radiation pattern accord with STK format by launch vehicle antenna pattern. Compare the results of simulation and actual tracking by the launch vehicle in a flying, it indicates that the proposed method can satisfy the requirement in task and the result of simulation can be the reference by target feature analysis on launch vehicle. © 2022 IEEE.

In order to realize the quantitative and visual expression of crop growth process, a method of crop skeleton model growth motion simulation and animation generation driven by crop morphological and structural characteristic parameters was proposed. By mining data through fuzzy clustering and adaptive fuzzy inference system, users can realize the private customization of expert planting decision system on cloud platform. Virtual crops take the morphological structure of crop organs, individuals or groups as the research object, and simulate the morphological structure change rule and growth process of crops in three-dimensional space visually on computer, which is a further deepening and expansion of crop growth simulation, and has important practical significance and wide application prospect in the fields of agronomy research and teaching, crop growth design, management and regulation, etc. © 2022 IEEE.
