The evolutionary process of young clusters remains unclear. In order to investigate the detailed dynamical evolution of star clusters, this paper simulates a young open cluster to tens of million years, via a reliable N-body simulation code. The dynamical interactions among stars, and stellar evolution of both single and bianry stars have been taken into account. The position, velocity, effective temperature, luminosity, radius and mass of each star are finally calculated at different ages. It is shown that the size of simulated cluster increases with time. The size evolution of cluster is found to depend on the initial velocities of stars. Therefore, to determine the initial states of clusters is of key importance in the simulation of star clusters. The paralell computing technique is also tested by this simulation. The result shows that the computation speed is enhanced by six times when taking 8-core paralell computation instead of 1-core computation. © 2020 Institute of Physics Publishing. The trajectory tracking process of the robot is easily affected by the smoothness of the ground, the external uncertainty interference, the integrity of feedback information and other factors, which lead to the degradation of the trajectory tracking performance of the mobile robot. In order to improve the performance of tracking control of agricultural tracked robot, this paper takes tracked robot as the research object, and presents an adaptive sliding mode control. The main research contents are as follows: Based on the consideration of the kinematics model of the tracked robot and the dynamic characteristics of the motor drive model, an adaptive integral sliding mode switching function with variable tilt parameters is constructed. Based on the established sliding mode function, an adaptive sliding mode control composed of equivalent control and switching control was designed. The pose error of the robot and the time-varying uncertain parameters of the drive motor identified online were fed back into the controller, and the expected angular velocity of the left and right wheel drive motor was calculated to control the running of the tracked robot. simulation results verified the effectiveness of the proposed method, and field test results showed that when the robot was running at the speeds of 1 m/s, 3 m/s, and 4 m/s, the distance error in the movement direction, the lateral distance error, and the heading angle error were -0.04m-0.04m, -0.09m-0.07m and -0.03-0.05rad. Therefore, the robot adaptive sliding mode control had good control accuracy and could meet the requirements of actual field operations. © The Institution of Engineering and Technology.

Liver fiber is an intermediate and reversible link in the process of cirrhosis, early detection and intervention of liver fibrosis is of great significance for the development and prognosis. Ultrasound as a one of the common diagnostic methods for liver fibers has many advantages like convenience, great accuracy and robustness. However, it is difficult to get subjective and uniform diagnoses because of the ultrasound images can be inevitably affected by the device characteristics, the interactions between ultrasound and body tissues, operation approaches and other uncontrollable factors. So we proposed a new liver fibrosis detecting algorithm based on the ultrasound echo amplitude analysis and a deep learning to classify normal and fibrosis tissue in computer simulation data. In order to study the relationship between scatterer density and hepatic fibrosis, we simulated various scatterer density liver fibrosis ultrasound image by creating random scatterer field and convolving with point spread function. Compared with the detection of traditional statistical analysis and parameter imaging, we use the data of echo amplitude distribution and image gray histogram distribution to classify the category of the window by CNN. The result shows that CNN can provide a better performance in classification and prediction than parameter imaging. © 2020 ACM.

Mode selection is normally used in conjunction with Device-to-Device (D2D) millimeter wave (mmWave) communications in 5G networks to overcome the low coverage area, poor reliability and vulnerable to path blocking of mmWave transmissions. Thus, producing a high-efficient D2D mmWave using mode selection based on select the optimal mode with low complexity turns to be a big challenge towards ubiquitous D2D mmWave communications. In this paper, low complexity and high-efficient mode selection in D2D mmWave communications based on deep learning is introduced utilizing the artificial intelligence. In which, deep learning is used to estimate the optimal mode y in the case of blocking of mmWave transmission or low coverage area of mmWave communications. Then, the proposed deep learning model is based on training the model with almost use cases in offline phase to predict the optimal mode for data relaying high-reliability communication in online phase. In mode selection process, the potential D2D transmitter select the mode to transmit the data either based on dedicated D2D communication or through the cellular uplink using the base station (BS) as a relay based on several criteria. The proposed deep learning model is developed to overcome the challenges of selected the optimal mode with low complexity and high efficiency. The simulation analysis show that the proposed mode selection algorithms outperform the conventional techniques in D2D mmWave communication in the spectral efficiency, energy efficiency and coverage probability. © 2020 IEEE.

Hydrogen adsorption on Ni/γ-Al2O3 in a fixed-bed adsorber: Experimental validation and numerical modelling

This work studies a dynamics mathematical model coupled the adsorption isotherm (Toth model) that describes the adsorption of H-2 in a fixed-bed adsorber (FBA). The developed dynamics modelling reports the diffusion-adsorption process in terms of mass transfer phenomena (external and internal). The adsorption equilibrium experimental data of H-2 were measured using an electromagnetic suspension microbalance for Ni (1.37%wt)/gamma-Al2O3 and Ni(5.72%wt)/gamma-Al2O3. The experimental data were correlated with the Toth isotherm model using nonlinear regression technique for three different temperatures 300, 310 and 325K. The nonlinear Levenberg-Marquardt parameter estimation method was used to estimate the parameters of the Toth isotherm. The mathematical model was validated against a set of experimental data (breakthrough curves) where model results adequately matched the experimental curves. The effects of flow rate, bed length and inlet H-2 concentration (simulations) on the breakthrough curves have been reported. modelling and simulation of the breakthrough curves have shown a good performance during the estimation (D-cp,D-H2,D-0 vertical bar r(cp)(2), E-a) and validation stages. A simulating study was developed to analyze the concentration of H-2 in the gaseous phase of different axial positions (dimensionless (z/L)) from FBA as well as the gas concentration of H-2 of different radial positions (dimensionless (r/Rp)) of the catalyst particle. In this study, the effect of mastics with four different mineral fillers (limestone, granodiorite, dolomite and rhyolite) on the mechanical performances of porous asphalt (PA) mixtures was investigated. X-ray computer tomography (X-ray CT) scanning and digital image processing (DIP) techniques were applied to detect and reconstruct the microstructure of PA specimens. Finite element (FE) simulations were conducted to simulate indirect tensile tests. The results show that the mastics with different fillers have significant influence on the mechanical performances of *** PAmixture with limestone exhibits the least load-bearing capacity while the specimen with granodiorite exhibits the highest values. Although the distribution and the magnitude of the creep strain in the different mastic are similar, the locations of the maximum creep strain are not the same. Further investigations should be carried out to facilitate the improvement of the pavement design process. © 2021 Taylor & Francis Group, London.

The evolution law of dynamic recrystallization structure in the process of indentation-flattening compound deformation technology (IFCDT) of AZ31 magnesium alloy was studied. A computer simulation method for dynamic recrystallization structure evolution process was proposed based on cellular automata theory (CA method). Firstly, the material model of cellular automata method is established. Secondly, the performance parameters and compound deformation parameters of AZ31 magnesium alloy were determined. Finally, the dynamic recrystallization process of AZ31 magnesium alloy during compound deformation was analyzed. During the compound deformation of AZ31 magnesium alloy, the dynamic recrystallization mechanism is initial state, nucleation of new grains, generation of new grains, growth of new grains, continuous growth of new grains, and covering of original large grains. Compared simulation results with experimental results, the maximum relative errors is 15.4%. It is proved that cellular automaton method may be used to predict the microstructure evolution of AZ31 magnesium alloy during indentation-flattening compound deformation. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

Taking into account the challenges and problems that are faced by the modern educational process, it is considered to use modern intelligent systems and algorithms to improve the education and teaching levels in educational institutions. The article describes an algorithm of actions on machine learning using, determining the students success level and analyzing the obtained data. This research can be efficiently used to find out and detect the modern educational problems, and individual and collective pupils sample features, implement the classification process and regression analysis of the data set. Results obtained from the algorithms usage, data analysis are described and demonstrated. The main features, knowledge and insights obtaining methods from the dataset are determined. The applied method is quite efficient and is capable of assessing pupil’s performance metrics. Predicting student’s and pupil’s characteristics will help to segment and divide them into different classes so that it will allow pupils to develop communication, leadership, and self-management skills while studying at school or university. The results show that performance metrics assessment is an integral part of modern education process that is slightly crucial for its improvement and pupil’s trends in education exploration. © 2020, Springer Nature Switzerland AG.

With the increase in an enormous amount of data, text analysis has become a challenging task. Techniques like classification, categorization, summarization and topic modeling have become part of every natural language processing activity. In this experiment, we aim to perform sentiment class extraction from lyrics using topic modeling techniques. We have use generative statistical model Latent Dirichlet Allocation (LDA) which is also the most widely explored model in topic modeling and another nonparametric bayesian based approach model Heuristic Dirichlet process (HDP) to extract the topics from 150 lyrics samples of Manipuri songs written using Roman script. We observe this unsupervised techniques, able to obtain the underlying different sentiment class of lyrics in the form of topics. © 2020, Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

Path planning is an important part of UAV intelligent control technology. For the current UAV path planning, the A∗ algorithm has a large memory overhead during the planning process, and the search speed is slow. It cannot meet the path planning in a complex three-dimensional environment. The immediacy requirement and considering the constraints are less, this paper made the following improvements to the A∗ algorithm. The first, combining an anytime repair search framework with a weighted A∗ algorithm, it is possible to quickly find a feasible path during the search process. The second, aiming at the defect of relying on low heuristic function weights in the algorithm, a double ranking criterion is proposed to improve the efficiency of the algorithm approaching the optimal path in the iterative process. And third, to reduce the number of node expansions in the planning process, increase list storage constraints have been improved. Finally, the results of simulation experiments show that the improved algorithm proposed in this paper can quickly generate feasible paths, and can continuously optimize the approach to the optimal path within a specified time, which is far superior to the traditional A∗ algorithm in terms of planning efficiency and immediacy. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.
