With the development of the fruit farming industry, there have been breakthroughs in both scale and harvesting requirements, and the resulting problem is that the demand of picking robot is more and more high, the function, cost and quality of the harvest and picking efficiency compared with the traditional manual operation mode with strong competitiveness for market, that is to say, in terms of cost cheaper, picking at a faster rate, and can avoid damage on the fruit in the process of picking. Therefore, in terms of mechanical structure design, the transmission accuracy and efficiency of the picking robot should be improved. At the same time, the structural design of the picking robot should simplify the structure as much as possible, reduce the manufacturing cost, and ensure the feasibility of the picking robot's functions. Picking robot combined with automatic walking system, automatic detection system and control system-centered intelligent system, can achieve accurate and efficient work in various conditions. Realize picking robot toward automation, intelligence, scientific development. The design of this topic is mainly aimed at the development of the picking robot and the use of analysis, determine the feasibility of the picking robot design and virtual simulation. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

In this paper, we attempt to provide a data driven solution to model groundwater levels in the Grootfontein Aquifer in the North West Province of South Africa by testing several predictive models. Groundwater plays a crucial role in supplying water to a significant part of the population for agricultural, industrial, environmental and/or domestic use. Recent advancements in data analytics, and the analysis of large data sets has allowed the production of powerful predictive models. Five different data driven techniques namely, support vector regression, gradient boosting trees, decision trees, random forest regression and multilayer feed-forward neural network techniques were applied to predict groundwater levels. modelling was carried out for four boreholes located in the Grootfontein dolomite aquifer considering discharge, rainfall and temperature as model inputs. Five site specific models were developed for each borehole. Model performance was evaluated using coefficient of determination and root mean squared error. Comparison of goodness of fit revealed that data driven methods can indeed capture the trend of water level fluctuations in the aquifer sufficiently with the GB algorithm performing better than other algorithms in both the training and verification stages. Whilst the models performed adequately when predicting groundwater level on a monthly basis for 36 months, further investigation is needed towards determining their efficacy in longer term projections to assist in the decision making process of sustainable groundwater use. This paper provides the following contributions: (a) a ranking of the attributes according to their mutual information (MI);(b) a reference for model selection;and (c) a predictive model to forecast groundwater levels in the Grootfontein aquifer. © 2020 IEEE.

This research aims at addressing the workflow analysis of a 3D character modelling by using a 3D K-Pop dancing character animation as a case study. To be successful in 3D character animation, one must follow certain steps of character referencing, designing, modelling, deforming, rigging, simulating, and refining. All these steps are the core practice in character animation. Each step has its own requirements and principles. It is a professional practice to follow these steps. However, as for beginners, the steps can be quite complicated and lead to other issues in 3D character animation processes. Character movements are varying. They can be very similar or completely different according to the activities and scenes of that character. In order to set up a character for a unique movement such as a dance movement, one must reconsider all steps started from modelling to rigging processes. To solve the character animation issues, this research focuses on the modelling process. The analysis of 3D character modelling emphasises the modelling approach to highlight the issues for beginner for example, what should be avoided, what should be reorganised to be successful for a beginner. © 2019 IEEE.

Human Resources (HRs) as one of the most valuable asset of any organizations play a crucial role in their success. Within the context of project management, HR Management (FIRM) is perceived as an entire knowledge area with defined processes, Tools and Techniques (T&T) in PMBOK 5th Guide. Although this guide shows a strong focus on HRM, it does not illustrate, in a clear way, how to perform each process with the required competencies and the related T&T. Hence, by using only PMBOK processes, the project manager cannot be assisted to select the suitable team according to their skills, also the project team members are not able to interchange their competencies. To address these issues, we propose to use an ontological approach in order to build a common shared representation in the FIRM domain. This approach fosters the interoperability among HRs as well as their efficient use of T & T;further it can provide whom using PMBOK a better understanding and guidance for managing HRs with evidence.

Food and drink processing industries are extremely large consumers of thermal energy as well as bio-wastes producers. The utilisation of bio-wastes for energy recovery appears to be a good opportunity to improve the overall efficiency of process industries. In this study, waste generation, management and energy auditing of a micro-brewery located in the north east of England is investigated. Fermented grains and hops are disposed as organic wastes after the production process. Hence, this study focuses on recovery of energy from these wastes through anaerobic digestion process. Experimental work was carried out in the laboratory for the wastes characterisation. The waste samples are then anaerobically digested at 55 degrees C and 35 degrees C with a 5L laboratory scale continuous stirred reactor using 5 gVSL(-1) and 25 days organic loading rates and hydraulic retention times respectively. Further to the experimental work, simulations were completed to evaluate the feasibility of the process. ASPEN plus simulation software was used to carry out the simulations using a novel approach for AD which is based on the ADM1 model. The experimental results showed that biogas can be produced at mesophilic and thermophilic conditions: 3.0 and 2.6 litres per day respectively. At thermophilic conditions, the methane content is 65 % while at mesophilic conditions, it is 55%. It is also found that the values of the final biogas production from the simulation were similar to the ones obtained in the experiments (-6.85%). However, the model would need further modifications to be able to accurately predict the biogas compositions. The result shows that the thermophilic process is able to fuel 126.01 kW boiler while mesophilic process can power 76.48kW boiler. (C) 2019 The Authors. Published by Elsevier Ltd.

Quantum machine learning is a hot topic in the quantum community recently. The combination of quantum machine learning and image processing is also one of the researchers' concerns. With the promotion of deep learning to process images, the field of image processing has also shown amazing potential. The combination of quantum computing and artificial intelligence can not only exert the computing power of quantum computing but also find more applications in the field of image processing. This article combines quantum generative adversarial learning with the field of image processing. A quantum generative adversarial network is designed to load and learn classical image data. Numerical simulations intuitively show that quantum algorithms can also effectively process images. In our scheme, using N qubits can load 2 N classical bits of image data.

Agent-based transport models simulate the travel demand of individuals at a fine resolution. However, when large road networks and numerous agents are simulated, they require long runtimes. In order to achieve reasonable runtimes, a common strategy is to randomly subsample the entire population. The capacity of the road network is scaled down proportionally. Previous studies have found that scaling affects the simulated agents' travel time and distance, although the reasons behind that and the size of the impact remain unclear for the scientific community In this paper, we present a systematic analysis of the consequences of scaling down the synthetic population. With this goal, we simulate a scenario with different scale factors between 1 and 100% using the multi-agent simulator MATSim. Different numbers of model iterations and two road network resolutions are compared. The output of the simulations shows how the scaling process modifies the model runtime, the travel times or the link volumes. (C) 2019 The Authors. Published by Elsevier B.V. The transaction process in business is an important factor that must be maintained for a business increase. This activity can be maintained by computerized. Application of computer which help process business transactions is an important thing that should be provided. This research aims to provide a system that helps routine transaction in daily food sales. Transaction in this system has included activities such as ordering, fulfil orders, payment, recording, financing, and reporting to management. Implementation of the system, that have used a prototype system development method. At each stage of the prototype is assisted by object-oriented programming, namely UML (Unified modelling Language). Use of UML diagrams includes use case diagrams, activity diagrams, sequence diagrams, class diagrams, and deployment diagrams. The results of this research are web technology-based transaction systems. The system has included order, delivery of an order, payment, order recording, and financial reporting for management. The system is made for the implementation of five main business processes that help the transaction system. The main business processes, that have created, is consisted of services, order, fulfil orders, financial services, and report for management.

The construction sector is a project-based industry characterised by informative-intensive processes. Project information is composed by several documents among which graphical drawings traditionally represent a fundamental component. The fragmentation of this information along the construction process can be addressed with the use of Building Information modelling (BIM). One of the fundamental components of BIM is the development of information models. These models contain a defined and shared semantic structure that allows the simulation of real entities in a digital environment. However, the quality of this simulation is bounded by the limits of the instruments used for its development. The work presented in this paper is the development a rules-based system that makes inference upon ontologies obtained from IFC models to recognise real estates units and their destination of uses starting from building information models. The proposed application aims to overcome the limits imposed by the IFC schema focusing both the reasoning process and the resulting enriching information on ontologies

Engineering Science Based on modelling and simulation (M & S) is defined as the discipline that provides the scientific and mathematical basis for simulation of engineering systems. These systems range from microelectronic devices to automobiles, aircraft, and even oilfield and city infrastructure. In a word, M & S combines knowledge and techniques in the fields of traditional engineering-electrical, mechanical, civil, chemical, aerospace, nuclear, biomedical and materials science-with the knowledge and techniques of fields such as computer science, mathematics and physics, and social sciences. One of the problems that arise during solar cell operation is that of heating them because of permanent solar radiation. Since the layers of which they are made are very small and thick it is almost impossible to experimentally determine the temperature in each layer. In this sense, the finite element method comes and provides a very good prediction and gives results impossible to obtain by other methods. This article models and then simulates the thermal composition of two types of solar cells, one of them having an additional layer of silicon carbide that aims to lower the temperature in the lower layer, where the electronic components stick to degradable materials under the influence of heat. © 2019 Trans Tech Publications Ltd, Switzerland.
