End-to-end (E2E) Spoken Language Understanding (SLU) systems infer structured information directly from the speech signal using a single model. Due to the success of virtual assistants and the increasing demand for speech interfaces, these architectures are being actively researched for their potential to improve system performance by exploiting acoustic information and avoiding the cascading errors of traditional architectures. However, these systems require large amounts of specific, well-labelled speech data for training, which is expensive to obtain even in English, where the number of public audio datasets for SLU is limited. In this paper, we release the FalAI dataset, the largest public SLU dataset in terms of hours (250 hours), recordings (260,000) and participants (over 10,000), which is also the first SLU dataset in Galician and the first to be obtained in a low-resource scenario. Furthermore, we present new measures of complexity for the text corpora, the strategies followed for the design, collection and validation of the dataset, and we define splits for noisy audio, hesitant audio and audio where the sentence has changed but the structured information is preserved. these novel splits provide a unique resource for testing SLU systems in challenging, real-world scenarios. © 2024 ELRA Language Resource Association: CC BY-NC 4.0.

Cooperation among nodes is mandatory for smooth operation of Mobile Ad Hoc Networks (MANETs) in terms of data routing. A participating node may refuse to deplete its resources for the benefit of others because of not getting any direct advantage for its service. Nodes showing such behavior are called selfish or non-cooperative nodes. Non-cooperative nodes can severely affect the performance of MANETs. Non-cooperative behavior of nodes in the MANETs may lead to network partitioning. In this paper, we address the issue of non-cooperative behavior by incorporating the concept of fuzzy logic closely coupled with the concept of trust. Fuzzy-based analyzer is used to distinguish between the non-cooperative behavior nodes and trustworthy nodes. We propose a fuzzy-based scheme to detect and isolate non-cooperative nodes in MANETs. In the proposed scheme, every node in the network constantly monitors its one-hop neighbors for their actions. Every node computes the trust of the observed neighbors. these trust values are passed on to a fuzzy function which is mapped into different classes. the resulting classes show the trust levels of the observed nodes. On the basis of the calculated trust value, the non-cooperative nodes are detected and isolated from the active routes of the MANET. Proposed fuzzy-based scheme is robust enough in terms of detecting packet drop attack in the network. Results show that proposed scheme detects non-cooperative nodes effectively with low false positives rate. Moreover, proposed scheme increases the packet delivery ratio and throughput in the presence of non-cooperative nodes in the network.

A group of wireless devices with the ability to sense physical events (sensors) or/and to perform relatively complicated actions (actors), is referred to as Wireless Sensor and Actor Network (WSAN). In this work, we propose and implement two Fuzzy Based Actor Selection Systems (FBASS): FBASS1 and FBASS2 for actor selection in WSANs. the systems decide whether the actor will be selected for the required job or not, based on data supplied by sensors and actual actor condition. the simulation results show that the proposed systems decide the actor selection in order to have short delays, low energy consumption and proper task assignment. Comparing FBASS1 with FBASS2, the FBASS2 is more complex than FBASS1, because it has more rules in FRB. However, FBASS2 is able to decide secure actor nodes, which makes the system more secure.

We introduce the problem of Model Repair for Probabilistic Systems as follows. Given a probabilistic system M and a probabilistic temporal logic formula phi such that M fails to satisfy phi, the Model Repair problem is to find an M' that satisfies phi and differs from M only in the transition flows of those states in M that are deemed controllable. Moreover, the cost associated with modifying M's transition flows to obtain M' should be minimized. Using a new version of parametric probabilistic model checking, we show how the Model Repair problem can be reduced to a nonlinear optimization problem with a minimal-cost objective function, thereby yielding a solution technique. We demonstrate the practical utility of our approach by applying it to a number of significant case studies, including a DTMC reward model of the Zeroconf protocol for assigning IP addresses, and a CTMC model of the highly publicized Kaminsky DNS cache-poisoning attack.

Emergency Rescue Information Sharing System supports rescue operations in early stage by gathering information about victims in need of help at the time of disaster. In this system, in-vehicle relays are used to gather extensive information. In-vehicle relays transmit information sent by mobile terminals to a database server via gateway switches. there are several wireless connections between relays and gateway switches to make the transmission redundant. However, information loss occurs when all links are disconnected. In addition, mobile terminals cannot send information without available wireless connections. In this paper, we propose a disaster information gathering mechanism that adopts Web-based offline operation and OpenFlow-based routing control. Offline operation of the system is realized by information caching and synchronization. Wireless links between in-vehicle relays and gateway switches are controlled by OpenFlow. Our mechanism selects a link for transmission dynamically in response to the status and priority changes of the wireless links. In order to prevent information loss while relays isolated from networks, information from mobile terminals is temporarily stored in in-vehicle servers. Prototype demonstration shows that the proposed mechanism can achieve high information gathering rate at the database server.

In this paper, we propose a fully parallel and pipelined architecture for stereo vision on FPGAs using Semi-Global Matching with Census Transform being used underneath. Further, we extend the above streaming architecture so that multiple pixels can be processed in a data parallel fashion. We expose this data parallelism through dependency relaxation. this establishes a trade-off between accuracy and throughput of the hardware. We tested the proposed architecture on Virtex-7 FPGA using KITTI 2012 and KITTI 2015 datasets. On images of resolution 1280x960, with 64 disparity levels, we are able to run our hardware design at 100 MHz. At this frequency, our design is able to process 322 frames per second which is 1.6 times faster than the state-of-the-art SGM implementation on FPGA. Our system can be scaled to a higher resolution image.

In this paper, we discuss a method for automatic programming of inspection image processing. In the industrial field, automatic program generators or expert systems are expected to shorten a period required for developing a new appearance inspection system. So-called "image processing expert system" have been studied for over the nearly 30 years. We are convinced of the need to adopt a new idea. Recently, a novel type of evolutionary algorithms, called genetic network programming (GNP), has been proposed. In this study, we use GNP as a method to create an inspection image processing logic. GNP develops many directed graph structures, and shows excellent ability of formulating complex problems. We have converted this network program model to Image Processing Network programming (IPNP). IPNP selects an appropriate image processing command based on some characteristics of input image data and processing log, and generates a visual inspection software with series of image processing commands. It is verified from experiments that the proposed method is able to create some inspection image processing programs. In the basic experiment with 200 test images, the success rate of detection of target region was 93.5%.

Given a set of facilities and a set of users, a reverse k nearest neighbors (RkNN) query q returns every user for which the query facility is one of the k-closest facilities. Due to its importance, RkNN query has received significant research attention in the past few years. Almost all of the existing techniques adopt a pruning-and-verification framework. Regions-based pruning and half-space pruning are the two most notable pruning strategies. the half-space based approach prunes a larger area and is generally believed to be superior. Influenced by this perception, almost all existing RkNN algorithms utilize and improve the half-space pruning strategy. We observe the weaknesses and strengths of both strategies and discover that the regions-based pruning has certain strengths that have not been exploited in the past. Motivated by this, we present a new RkNN algorithm called SLICE that utilizes the strength of regions-based pruning and overcomes its limitations. Our extensive experimental study on synthetic and real data sets demonstrate that SLICE is significantly more efficient than the existing algorithms. We also provide a detailed theoretical analysis to analyze various aspects of our algorithm such as I/O cost, the unpruned area, and the cost of its verification phase etc. the experimental study validates our theoretical analysis.

Every application of a Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) requires the data collected from sensor nodes to be reachable from the outside, in order to allow its processing and to obtain information from the monitored phenomena. Environmental protection and agriculture are examples of areas most likely to benefit from the deployment of WSNs. Devices equipped with temperature, humidity and light sensors could play a role in preserving the environment by providing early alerts and useful status information in real-time. Since such networks usually provide a huge amount of raw data, an easy way to organize, store and retrieve useful information is also needed. In this work we present REnvDB (RESTful Environmental DataBase), a novel database for Wireless Sensor Networks specifically designed for pervasive monitoring applications. the data model of the database is flexible enough to fulfill the requirements of most of the typical environmental monitoring systems. We also provided the database a RESTful interface, which can be used to expose the data collected by heterogeneous WSNs using the standard protocols of the World Wide Web. thanks to its modular design and the use of metadata, the behavior of our RESTful interface can also be easily extended or modified according to the requirements and constraints of a specific context. Finally, the entire system has been implemented and tested in a real environment as part of a bigger project for the monitoring of an intensive agricultural field.
