The contemporary tendency in a mobile wireless ad hoc network routing is that the selection of path is dynamic i.e., the routes are portrayed as and when needed. Many routing protocols already are in this group which don't make use of the multiple alternate paths available. This system uses the concept of the Power responsiveness for the route selection by assessing the energy status of an individual node in the network topology which not only makes sure of the fast route selection but also with minimal efforts and a swift recovery. This new system ascertains the multi-paths without the transfer of any new control message. It also deals with a swift adjustment to ever-changing linking, dispersed processing, memory overhead, low processing and the loop avoidance. The scheme is brought in with an already existing AODV protocol and through the simulation, performance has been verified.

Femtocells are used to increase indoor coverage and network capacity of traditional macro BS deployments. Interference is key performance limiting factor in such heterogeneous mobile networks. In order to minimize the interference between macro-and femto base stations, we use a constrained optimization technique to optimally allocate bandwidth and power to macrocell and femtocell UEs. Matlab's CVX library is used to solve the optimization problem. Depending on the UEs' position from their serving base station (macro or femto) and their demand for higher data rates than minimum requirement data rate, the optimal power and bandwidth is assigned to each base station.

Conventional road traffic controlling systems are dependent on human operators for most of the decisions. Such human operators have experienced a wide variety of incidents and traffic congestions. But even the most experienced operators fail to control traffic efficiently during non-recurrent situations. Non-recurrent situation is a situation which has not been seen earlier by a human operator prior to its occurrence. controlling traffic flow in such a situation is a complex task as it demands quick reaction and expert knowledge. This paper proposes a novel and efficient approach to control traffic flow in non-recurrent traffic situations. The proposed approach uses multiple techniques, most of which are borrowed from Soft Computing such as, NN (Neural network), FL (Fuzzy Logic) and GA (Genetic Algorithm). This approach involves clustering imprecise data, in the form of Gaussian mixtures, into fuzzy sets using Expectation Maximization algorithm. The approach also includes minimizing the initial population of chromosomes in Genetic algorithm using a novel algorithm. The proposed algorithm used in identification of valid rules for fuzzy system reduces space and time complexity of the process. The proposed approach has been validated using METANET.

For solving the time-delay in remote control system, intelligent fuzzy logic compensator is introduced in this paper to improve the traditional networked PI control system. In this paper, the optimization based on energy efficiency in a relay assisted wireless multicast system, where a single source communicates with multiple destinations with the help of an amplify-and-forward relay, is proposed. We assume that the source cannot reach the destinations directly, and thus the relay forwards the signal in two hops. Under the performance objective of maximizing the number of bits that the source sends to all destinations per Joule of the total energy spent, we formulate the optimization problem based on high SNR approximation, and prove that the problem can be extended to a standard Geometric Programming (GP) problem, which is a well-studied class of nonlinear and nonconvex optimization and has regular solutions. Finally, we provide a set of numerical results to illustrate energy efficiency corresponding to different channel conditions.
