The shortest path problem is a well know routing problem which received a considerable amount of attention for several decades. This problem is the cornerstone of any real-world routing problem including the VRP or the Hub Location. The majority of efficient methods dedicated to these problems consist in computing first the matric of shortest path between nodes. Furthermore, in recent years there has been a revival of interest in the shortest path problem used in the context of various transportation engineering applications. This paper relates to the conception of efficient routing algorithms tuned for mobility. More precisely, it is targeted to the field of pedestrian mobility in an urban environment. In a mobile environment, specific constraints as wireless network traffic disturbances must be taken into account. The architecture that we tune for the project is based on an active monitoring system, which required new shortest path calculation using the exposed web service API. The web service is performed when a specific constraint appears or a new part of the path is required. Using of such architecture offers a new approach in operational research algorithms and our contribution stands at the crossroads of optimization research community and the web service community expectations. Throughout the human history, a series of technologies introduced for water treatment and power optimization can be traced. The growing population demands electricity, this is increasing pressure on our non-renewable resources which are depleting fast. Therefore, salinity gradient energy is a promising renewable energy source for the future. The increasing scarcity of drinking water has also wretched human life quality. The paper proposes the use of graphene membrane for power generation using reverse osmosis process. At the same time water is desalinized and processed for purification so that there is availability of ultra-pure clean water without using filters in there households and abundant electricity without any ecological imbalance. The proposal includes removal of arsenic, poorly biodegradable pollutants using TiO2 nanoparticles. Electrolysis is used to obtain chlorine. Advance electronics implementation also renders this with pump control, fouling detection modules and decision module for the volume of effluent to be discharged. The idea focuses on increasing water supplies through the safe re-use of wastewater and efficient desalination of sea water and to fulfil large demand of electricity in the world renewably.

With increase in the awareness of security programming, the number of vulnerabilities for software on a machine have subsequently decreased. Exploiting these few vulnerabilities if present, require attackers to use their skills and efforts to exploit various services. Firewalls, access control lists (ACLs), intrusion detection and prevention system deployed in an organization are able to block and mitigate direct and known attacks which are used by attackers as they are related to inbound traffic. Outbound traffic are allowed in organizations since users are allowed at least to download mails, visit external web servers. A vulnerable application requesting traffic from an externally hosted server is exploited and user accessing the traffic transfers their controls to attackers listening remotely. To detect this kind of behavior, this paper focuses on deploying high interaction honeypot system coupled with intrusion detection system on different operating system flavors which work as clients. Clients collect URLs by specifically crafted web links crawler. These URLs are then visited by application needed to visit these URLs. Finally, if these URLs are malicious and exploit the application software, an alert is triggered by signature based intrusion detection system deployed on the machine. Based on these alerts, URLs are stored in a black list of malicious URLs. We introduce design and implementation of this system in this paper.

In order to improve the efficiency of hybrid particle swarm optimization (PSO) algorithm, a PSO merging simulated annealing and hill climbing (SAHCPSO) is implemented based on a three-level parallel model to increase its convergence speed and to decrease the operation time. SAHCPSO can enhance the diversity of the population and avoid population premature convergence. By analyzing and optimizing the SAHCPSO, we complete the task mapping on the model and make full use of CPU/GPU heterogeneous cluster resources. optimization for parallel accessing further improves the efficiency of the algorithm. The parallel SAHCPSO implements the coarse-grained parallelism between computation nodes and fine-grained parallelism within each node, greatly reducing the operation time. The experimental results show that with the increase of particle scale, higher speedup can be obtained. The high efficiency of the parallel strategy of the model makes the parallel SAHCPSO more easily to solve large-scale problems. © 2014 Springer International Publishing Switzerland.

In Mobile Ad-Hoc networks, broadcasting is most frequently used operation in the network layer to forward the control packets to all its neighbour nodes. Source or Intermediate node transmits a rebroadcast packet to any or all other nodes whenever it receives, which could generate duplicate transmissions and it ends up in a significant downside 'Broadcast Storm problem'. The researchers have been proposed 2-Hop Neighbour based protocol like DP, TDP, PDP and APDP to reduce broadcast storm in MANETs by choosing the minimum number of forwarding nodes using self pruning and dominant pruning. Nowadays, the researchers have been adapting network coding idea (COPE) to neighbour topology based protocols which overcome the number of transmission by victimisation the using arithmetic operation i.e. XOR of packets. In this paper, we have made an effort to introduce Ant colony optimization to the COPE protocol with Pruning Algorithm. In this approach, we are using pheromone value to decide the packet combination. The pheromone value is evaluated based on the intersection of the sender packet list and Pruning algorithm forward node packet list. We have made an attempt to seek out the network coding gain in the high and low load situations and also in delay tolerant applications. We've shown simulation details in result section. © 2014 IEEE.

Formation control of a group of robots finds application in generating different geometric patterns and shapes, and also in locking known static or moving objects. This paper mainly explores different topologies which can be used for the formation of single group of wheeled mobile robots with nonholonomic constraints along with the existing ones. These topologies represents the connectivity constraint relationship among the robots. Each of these topologies or transformations separates the group into a reference vector (e.g. a centroid or a leader) and other shape variables, thus separating the overall dynamics into reference dynamics and shape dynamics. The gains of the controllers of these two dynamics are such chosen that the overall dynamics becomes a singularly perturbed system. Thus two dynamics converge at different time, shape vector dynamics being the faster than the reference dynamics. Negative gradient of a potential based function has been appended to the controller to ensure collision avoidance among the robots. Simulation results has been provided to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed controller. © 2014 IFAC.

Large-scale wind farms connected into main grid is accompanied by the reducing of the stability, reliability and security of the power system operation. So the risk cost becomes one of the important factors influencing the profit of transmission network expansion planning. This paper adopted the method of clustering wind power transmission. The objective function established in this paper reflecting the comprehensive benefits of transmission project defined the Pline (transmission capacity) as variable. In order to maximize the comprehensive benefits of the transmission project, the influence of transmission constructing cost, the congestion loss probably caused by a low transmission capacity as well as the cost of risk were taken into account. Calculation of risk is a very complex mixed integer nonlinear problem, so we used Monte-Carlo Simulation to solve this question. Example shoes that the proposed method can achieve optimal transmission capacity, transmission project benefit and planning.
