In view of the strong non-linear and time-varying characteristics of linear ultrasonic motors, a fuzzy recurrent neural networkcontroller is put forward. In order to improve the control of the convergence speed and robustness of the proposed controller, the differential evolution algorithm is used for the rapid preliminary off-line optimization of the weights and parameters of network, and then combines the adaptive law and BP algorithm and gradient descent optimization mechanism for learning and accurate optimization. The results show that the fuzzy recurrent neural networkcontroller is better than PID and self-structuring neural networkcontroller, and has a good anti-interference capability.

This paper presents CMACRO (Cloud Model and Multiple Ant Colonies optimization based Routing), a new cross-layer QoS routing algorithm for wireless sensor networks. Basing on the principle of cross-layer design, the algorithm adapts delay, nodes' load and link quality as QoS metrics, and provides differentiated services for real time event-driven data streams and delay-tolerant periodic sampling data. The QoS routing metrics are regarded as heuristics correction factors in ant colony algorithm (ACA). The ants are divided into a number of different populations. Through the interaction of pheromone between multi populations, the routing algorithm searches for the feasible paths in parallel and updates the pheromone in time. To overcome the slow convergence of ant colony algorithm, improvements to control the randomness of the ants via cloud model are proposed. The simulation results demonstrate that the routing algorithm can guarantee the real time, reliability and robustness of wireless sensor networks. It can also achieve the network load balancing and congestion control mechanism.

Electric heat pumps combined with heat buffers are important elements in smart grids since they together allow to shift the consumption of electricity in time. In this paper the effects of different control algorithms for heat pumps on the investment costs for distribution grids are investigated. For this, an optimization approach is implemented for a case study within an area where the buildings are only supplied by electricity. The simulations use real smart meter data to generate realistic load curves of households and heat pumps. The calculations show that grid costs increase up to 71% with an inappropriate control and decrease by 10% with an optimal integration of heat pumps. Furthermore, the costs for the reinforcement of the grid are confronted with the benefits on consumer side using flexible price signals. The cost-benefit analysis shows that considering grid restrictions in the context of controllable devices is highly recommended.

As the current state of the circuit must be known while using the predictive control, state observer is applied to solve the problem that some variables of DC/DC converter can not be observed. Neural networkoptimization is used to solve the QP problems in single sample step of predictive control. Simulation results show that this approach can utilize fast converge property of neural network and the new control strategy turns out to be very efficiency.

Field Based Routing (FBR) is the next promising class of routing algorithms especially for wireless mesh networks. The inherent nature of shared medium wireless mesh networks, however, poses fundamental challenges to the design of effective routing policies that are optimal with respect to speed, time and resource utilization. In this paper, globally optimized routing algorithm for multiple subscribers in wireless mesh networks is proposed. Mesh network with multiple nodes will serve as an environment that optimizes some global utility function limited by the mobile nodes position in underlying MAC (Media Access control) layer. By solving the optimization problem, the network is brought to a point of efficient operation with a certain routing policy for each node. This information will be the operating point that can be used to find better ways adaptive, which is able to steer the network towards the optimal routing. Global optimization of FBR is depicted through path estimation using PSO (Particle Swarm optimization).
