In order to calculate the packet loss rate in OBS network, this paper proposes a method, which performs good in both accuracy and rapidity, based on Erlang B formula to estimate the packet loss probability in OBS network using backup path protection mechanism. This method can be used to optimize the design of OBS network protocol, and it also provides an accurate and efficient approximate calculation method of packet loss rate in OBS network and can be conductive to the study of using copy transmission to enhance the network survivability. Based on the formula of Erlang B, this paper briefly introduces the derivation process and principle of this method. The basic experimental principles of simulation and estimation processes are designed in this paper, and the experimental results of the proposed method under a typical network topology (ARPA network) with no protection mechanism and 1 and 2 backup paths protection mechanisms are analyzed to verify its rapidity and accuracy. The results of experiments show the accuracy and efficiency of this method. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

With the continuous improvement of the information technology and communications of Smart Grid, the electric power big data environment has been formed. The data shows diversity and multi-source characteristics. How to ensure the quality of power data in the computer organization under the condition of heterogeneity is the premise of making relevant decisions. This paper firstly gives the definition of Data Space of power enterprises, analyzes the factors affecting the quality of data in the computer environment, and gives the relevant architecture of processing power data in the data space. Secondly, based on business flow and Petri net in the computer environment, this paper constructs the data flow and quality control model of the front and back platforms. The former represents the data flow in the power business and abstracts it to form Petri net computer information flow, so that the data can achieve the effect of cleaning while flowing in the business process. Finally, an evaluation index system is built and back-propagation neural network (BPNN) is used to determine the weight, a case study is given to verify the effectiveness of the proposed method. © 2021 IEEE.

In recent years, gestures have been widely used in many fields. For example, human-computer interaction, virtual reality, gesture translation, etc. The reason for its rapid development is due to the emergence of deep learning and artificial intelligence under today’s society. Due to dynamic gestural interactions, such large intelligent models are often characterized by many parameters, large sample size, frequent parameter updates, and high communication volume. Based on this feature, we propose a cloud-based edge design architecture approach for gesture recognition based on an improved YOLOv5 network model optimization by changing different gestures, background interference, which uses a 21-layer model for the neural network. With the use of edge intelligence, the computational accuracy can be improved by 10.6% over the traditional YOLOv5 with a MAP value of 93.3%. The final recall rate is also improved by 3.6%. The parameter model is only 43.6% of the original one. This shows the practicality and operability of using edge computing as a technique in gesture recognition, as well as the small improvement cost and obvious effect. © 2023, ICST Institute for Computer Sciences, Social Informatics and Telecommunications Engineering.

Integrated Access and Backhaul (IAB) networking paradigm and the use of mm-wave technology have emerged as key enablers for the deployment of B5G/6G systems. In this paper we introduce the SynergyWave framework that empowers the IAB nodes and the users to independently optimize their transmission power levels, while simultaneously the IAB nodes perform optimal bandwidth splitting across the access and backhaul links. The key objective of SynergyWave framework is the enhancement of the energy efficiency of each participating entity in a decentralized and autonomous manner. Exploiting the channel modeling framework established by the 3rd Generation Partnership Project (3GPP) for mm-wave networks, we initially model the achievable data rate for both the access and backhaul links in the IAB network. Subsequently, a two-stage energy efficiency optimization problem is formulated and treated based on a Stackelberg game theoretic approach. In particular, it models and optimizes resource allocation in mm-wave IAB networks, determining optimal bandwidth splitting and uplink transmission power levels for IAB nodes and their users. The SynergyWave framework is assessed via modeling and simulation, and the obtained numerical results demonstrate that substantial energy efficiency improvements can be achieved for both users and IAB nodes.

Motorcycles are an integral part of transportation in many parts of the world, offering a flexible and efficient means of travel. However, with the convenience and freedom they provide, motorcycle riders face a heightened risk on the road. Among the many safety measures available, wearing a helmet stands out as a critical, life-saving practice. Nevertheless, enforcing helmet use remains a challenge. This research delves into the realm of traffic surveillance and deep learning to provide an innovative solution for monitoring and tracking motorcycle riders without helmets, ultimately contributing to improved road safety. Our study introduces a cutting-edge method for tracking motorbike riders without helmets in traffic surveillance videos. We employ an “Enhanced Siamese network” (ESN) that assesses the similarity between input data pairs to identify and track non-compliant riders. To boost ESN's performance, we use a “triplet loss function” instead of the conventional logistic loss. This enables the network to distinguish helmetless riders from those with helmets more effectively. We further enhance the network by fine-tuning its hyper-parameters with an “Artificial Flora optimization (AFO)” algorithm. The Proposed method's effectiveness is contrasted with alternative tracking methods such as ESN (Triplet Loss), Siamese network, SORT as to the average overlap Rate corresponds to Robustness(Failure rate) and Accuracy. The outcomes of the trial demonstrated that our suggested strategy achieved an outstanding maximum accuracy of 0.972, a high overlap rate of 0.867, and a minimal failure rate of 0.120. These results highlight the effectiveness of our approach in tracking helmetless riders, marking a significant contribution to road safety and helmet use compliance.

Now a days, the resource allocation manages the resource networks such as bandwidth, power usage for ensuring Quality of Service (QoS) without overloading. However, the optimization fails to adapt traffic loads due to its dependance on static resource allocation that cannot adjust to user demands and power control. To overcome this limitation in this research resource allocation method Federated-Double-Deep Q-network (F-DDQN) is proposed for maximizing throughput and achieve minimum QoS requirements for all active Device-to-Device communication(D2D) pairs and Cellular Users (CUE). whereas Federated Learning enhances adaptability to dynamically communication environments. Initially, the data is collected from D2D-enabled heterogeneous cellular networks (HetNet) dataset and 3-tier HetNet system model are designed. Further, for resource management the F-DDQN enhances the energy-efficient by decentralizing action states and minimizes communication overhead and power consumption by sharing model updates instead of raw data, and DDQN effectively improves the energy efficiency in resource allocation by estimating Q-values and optimizes resource allocation through selecting the most energy-efficient transmitting power and channels using target estimation. From the results the proposed model achieved better results to evaluate its effectiveness in increasing system throughput with 58.90% compared with both CUE and D2D Users Equipment (DUE) with existing method a Deep Q-network-based Reinforcement Learning algorithm (DRL).

Transformation of buildings to solar-powered structures can support the evolution of the global energy network towards a decentralized and environmentally sustainable system. Building-integrated photovoltaics thermal (BIPV/T) systems can play a crucial role in this process by facilitating the decarbonization of the heating sector through electrification. By generating both electrical and thermal energy from the same surface area their overall efficiency is improved making them particularly advantageous in dense urban environments where space is limited. The main design parameters which influence the BIPV/T energy performance include geometric features of the system such as channel length and height, inclination, and orientation as well as control parameters such as the air flow rate that runs through the BIPV/T *** this study a sensitivity analysis on selected design parameters of a BIPV/T system coupled to an air-source heat pump is conducted to identify sensitive features that have the biggest impact on the system *** findings include that longer BIPV/T channels heighten the importance of channel height in the thermal production of the BIPV/T system, while higher channel air velocities generally decrease the impact of geometric parameters. Finally, the analysis indicated that there is a critical range of channel heights and lengths within which the sensitivity of these parameters on the outlet temperature of the BIPV/T channel is maximized.

As the electricity grid industry continues to grow rapidly, more demands are being placed on the dispatching system's intelligence and digitization. Under these circumstances, this paper deeply integrates intelligent Internet of Things technology, and systematically investigates the cloud platform's intelligent search structure for power grid control in view of the data density and business complexity of power grid control cloud platform. This framework not only integrates the professional vocabulary modeling and algorithm for term segmentation in the power domain using the power feature, effectively improving the professionalism and accuracy of the search, but also innovatively introduces the multi-factor relevance sorting algorithm to achieve efficient optimization of search results. Furthermore, this paper uses the data processing and analysis capabilities of the intelligent Internet of Things to construct a power knowledge graph association model, transforming the scattered power grid data into a structured knowledge network, greatly enhancing the semantic understanding and intelligent reasoning capabilities of the search system. Considering the essential technologies mentioned above, the paper successfully constructed a power grid intelligent search application for the control cloud, which can achieve comprehensive coverage and intelligent retrieval of power grid models, operating status, historical events, technical information and service resources, providing unprecedented data insights and decision support capabilities for dispatching and operation business.

The PV power plants suffer from the lesser power generation even from the rated power. So, the solution for it is always searched and tested by many researchers. The maximum power point tracking (MPPT) is designed to achieve this. The MPPT algorithms suffer from uncertain environmental conditions like solar temperature and irradiations. This article suggests the machine learning use for the MPPT. Our machine learning model uses the historical data generated by the ideal conditioned PV simulator designed in MATLAB and it tracks the uncertainty in the environmental conditions. The neural network (NN) is primarily used. Generalized particle swarm optimization (GEPSO) tunes the neural network's weights and biases for better tracking. The algorithm is tested on New Delhi's environmental conditions. © 2021 IEEE.

The important control parameters for the hybrid electric vehicle are the lower and upper limit of state of charge (SOC). This SOC of the vehicle directly affects the economy and the emission rates. In this work, the parallel HEV is modelled by using ADVISOR (Advanced Vehicle Simulator). Different SOC limits are taken for testing the emission performance and fuel economy for the same designed driving cycles. With the simulation results we will be able to specify best upper and lower limits of SOC such that vehicle will achieve optimum fuel economy and emission performance. For control and energy management, the most important factor which needs to be taken into concern is the 'State of Charge (SOC)‘ value for the battery. Practically 20 % to 80% is the range which is usually set for the state of charge constraint The simulation is performed by taking repetitive velocity profiles (drive cycles) of two different curves i.e., UDDS (Urban Dynamometer Driving Schedule) and ECE. The SOC and emission curves are observed for these different drive cycles and the results having emission rates for HC, CO and NOx (in g/miles) are tabulated. This study's results shed light on why and how SOC caps affect HEVs' gas mileage and pollution ratings. The vehicle's total efficiency and environmental effect can be improved by identifying the ideal SOC range for various driving cycles. These findings can be used to inform the evolution of control and energy management systems for HEVs, leading to a more environmentally friendly and efficient transportation network in the future.
