In order to cope with the large-scale electric vehicles (EVs) access to the grid, a hierarchical optimization model of distribution network-electric vehicle centralized control center is established by using the way of EVs zonal cluster. The charging and discharging plan of each centralized control center is formulated by the distribution network layer. Considering the safety of the distribution network and the power demand constraints during the control cycle of EVs, the objective is to minimize the load variance and network loss of the distribution network after the access of distributed wind power. According to the charge and discharge plan, the centralized control center carries out rolling optimization control for EVs in their respective areas. The NSGA-II algorithm is used to solve the multi-objective optimization problem of the distribution network layer. The centralized control center performs the orderly charge and discharge control by calculating the priority of charging and discharging. Finally, the improved IEEE-33 node system with 3 distributed wind power and 3 centralized control centers is used as an example for simulation, and the results verify the effectiveness of the proposed model and method. © 2019 IEEE.

Nowadays the forging industry has issues such as serious pollution emissions, low levels of intelligence and automation of enterprises and the complexity and diversity of underlying equipment lead to the weak information interaction between equipment. In order to solve the above problems, the forging production line management system is designed and developed in this paper, the four main function modules of system management, energy management, basic information management, and production scheduling are included in this system. The data transmission network is constructed through PROFIBUS and PROFIINET fieldbus technology to connect various devices in the process. The management system realizes basic information management, energy consumption statistical analysis, scheduling optimization and other functions in the forging production process.

The accurate prediction of short-term load is crucial to improve the safety, reliability and economy of the operation of distribution network. Although BP neural network has positive application effect in data training and associated memory, it is deficient in global optimization and convergence speed in the application of short-term electrical load prediction. Therefore, an improved BP neural network algorithm is proposed. First, we build a Globally Accelerated BP(GAD-BP) neural network model. In the pre-training process of model parameters, global optimization is adopted by genetic algorithm. The initial weights are optimized by LM algorithm. Secondly, the learning rate is dynamically adjusted by the Adagrad algorithm. Each parameter is divided by the iterated history gradient square root sum to make it converge to the optimal solution faster. Finally, the GAD-BP is compared with St-BP and LSTM, the effectiveness of the model proposed in this paper is validated through case study. © 2019 IEEE.

The low voltage power line communication (LVPLC) routing algorithms are important factors that influence network performance. Genetic Algorithms (GA) has fast random global search routing ability, but has couple of issues: it does not use the feedback information of the network;it is not as efficient in finding optimal solution. This paper proposes an improved genetic algorithm for LVPLC network routes between any two stations. The proposed method, in combination with two well-known techniques (CSMA and TDMA) offers several advantages: fuse several subnets into one network;ensure dynamic network stability;adopt to the fast random global search abilities of GA to find better solutions;feed the GA solution to an ant colony algorithm. The GA/ant colony optimization work together to ensure rapid convergence to the global optimal solution. The simulation results show the effectiveness of the proposed method.

This paper evaluates a strategy for using multiple energy-harvesting autonomous underwater vehicles (AUVs) to extract hydrokinetic energy out of a spatiotemporally-varying Gulf Stream (GS) resource. When anchored, the conceptual AUV can generate energy with on-board turbines, and can relocate itself when needed. Model predictive control (MPC)-based centralized optimization is used to optimize the locations of a team of AUVs along a cross-stream transect. To maintain an accurate estimate of the transect flow profile, a Kalman filter-based estimator is used to blend flow speed measurements from the AUVs with intermittent auxiliary flow speed data from a High Frequency Radar network (HFRNet). To characterize the uncertainty of the GS flow profile estimation, variance of flow speed is modeled using tools from Gaussian Process (GP). The MPC strategy proposed in the paper ensures an appropriate balance between learning the exact location of GS jet (termed exploration) and maximizing overall power generation (termed exploitation). The importance of estimating the flow pattern in the transect with high resolution is shown through simulation results.

The control process of liquid level in double-holding water tank (DHWT) has the characteristics of multiple interference, great inertia and strong nonlinearity, its control performance optimization and parameter setting are extremely difficult. In aspect of the sensitivity, system stability and parameter setting, traditional PID control are inadequate. Therefore, this paper presented a kind of self-learning, self-optimized PID control based on back propagation (BP) neural network, it can make up the deficiency of traditional PID. The simulation results show that, compared with traditional PID, the proposed method can improve the performance index of the DHWT system. © 2019 IEEE.

In recent years, as the consumption rate of renewable energy has increased, the impact of renewable energy on the power grid has also increased. Currently, distribution network system operators and transmission line system operators are unable to acquire and control the operational status of renewable energy sources such as wind power photovoltaics. These phenomena pose a significant challenge to the safety and stability of the operation of the power system. The virtual power plant is a feasible solution, based on the data acquisition terminal of advanced communication technology, decentralized control or centralized control of DER. Based on the virtual power plant, this paper aggregates three types of resources, wind power, photovoltaic, and electric vehicles, which are typical on the supply side and the demand side. Then, the virtual power plant is regarded as a whole to accept the dispatching instructions of the power grid, formulate the operational strategy of the internal resources of the virtual power plant, and participate in the peaking service.

300 Mvar synchronous condensers have played an important role in restraining commutation failure and maintaining voltage stability for the UHV converter station. The reliability of the distributed control system of synchronous condensers is analyzed. From the aspects of I/O signal configuration, grounding, power supply, emergency shutdown button setting and network configuration, the difference between distributed control system of synchronous condenser and conventional thermal power unit is compared. The logical configuration of the important auxiliary system of the synchronous condenser is optimized, which improves the operational stability of the synchronous condensers. © 2019 IEEE.

The article is devoted to the rationalization of the train routes on the railway network. It is proposed to improve the model of a decision support system based on the use of neuro-fuzzy modeling and a genetic algorithm intended for the formation of routes. Based on the improved model, it is possible to create an automated control system for the formation of optimal routes for passenger and freight trains. An optimization mathematical model of the railway network capacity control is also developed on the basis of the Ford-Fulkerson method. The model takes into account the limitations of the capacity of the sites of the landfill, the size of train flows (including speed) and the cost of following the train for each section. The implementation of the model will make it possible to more efficiently distribute train traffic on the railway network in the conditions of mass transportation of passengers and cargo. Reasonable setup of valve discharge characteristics function of steam turbine's governing valves is the basis of linear load control for thermal power unit. Power oscillation could occur when undesired nonlinearity of the valve discharge characteristics degrades steam turbine's control performance. Then steam turbine's valve discharge characteristics function should be re-optimized. Currently, optimization for valve discharge characteristics function is based on valve discharge characteristics test. In the paper, an online monitoring and optimization method for valve discharge characteristics is proposed. Without valve discharge characteristics test, the method can also determine valve discharge characteristics and optimize valve discharge characteristics function. Furthermore, the method makes state-monitoring of valve discharge characteristics possible. Through the method, valve discharge characteristics function can be pre-optimized to avoid completely power oscillation caused by nonlinearity of valve discharge characteristics. © 2019 IEEE.
