Due to the difference between MMC-HVDC and LCC-HVDC control characteristics and the mutual influence of parallel connection, its power modulation strategy is different from that of LCC-HVDC. Coordinated control strategy of parallel system of MMC-HVDC and LCC-HVDC is analyzed. The methods of power distribution, rate distribution and reactive power control of power limit function are described. Combined with RTDS simulation research of modulation function of Luxi back-to-back HVDC system, the control characteristics of power limitation function of the parallel system under the condition of AC fault at the rectifier side are analyzed in view of the exposed defects. The coordination method of the power limit function, the high voltage crossing control function and the rate distribution optimization is proposed. The simulation results show that the optimized parallel system can perform the power limiting function according to the correct timing and rate. © 2019 IEEE.

The gas and steam combined cycle uses natural gas and realizes the supply of cold, heat and power based on the principle of energy cascade utilization. It has the advantages of high energy efficiency and less pollutant emission, so its application scale is extending. In this paper, the mathematical models of equipment in the energy station, which consists of gas and steam combined cycle, are established. Then the objective function and constraint conditions for multi-objective optimization considering economic and environmental benefits are proposed. The Nash negotiation method is used to find the solution to this multi-objective optimization problem on the Pareto frontier. Since the device models are properly linearized, each sub-problem on the Pareto front becomes a MILP problem, which can be solved by commercial solvers. Finally, a case study based on an actual energy station is carried out and the results of single-objective optimization and multi-objective optimization are compared to illustrate the Pareto effectiveness of the Nash Bargain solution. © 2019 IEEE.

Aiming at the problem that traditional wireless network resource scheduling algorithm cannot guarantee the fairness of users, cannot allocate resources to users on demand and has low utilization rate of resources in wireless network communication system, this paper introduces the concept of network slicing and proposes a wireless resource optimization scheduling strategy with the purpose of improving users' satisfaction. Considering that each slice has different performance requirements for the radio access network, and the service difference between different slices is large, this paper selects several indicators such as data transmission rate, packet loss rate and delay to calculate the user's scheduling priority based on the analysis of the application needs of different types of business. At the same time, the slice characteristics to which the user belongs are taken as the priority measure of the user, thereby weighing the fairness and user requirements between the slices. Finally, compared with the traditional resource scheduling algorithm, the simulation results show that the proposed strategy improves the fairness of users while ensuring the throughput. © 2019 IEEE.

Due to the randomness and intermittent of wind power, the output power of the wind farms is with large fluctuations. A robust optimization model is proposed to stabilize the wind power output fluctuation by electric vehicles. Based on the requirements of "active power change" in wind power in national standards, the change of wind power output rate is expressed. After that, the robust optimization method is used to deal with the uncertainty of wind power output, and a double-layer optimization model for the coordinated control of wind farm and electric vehicles is established. The upper layer model decision maker is the wind farm, with the objective of maximizing the income of selling electricity of wind farm as the objective function. The lower layer model decision makers are electric vehicle owners, with the objective of minimizing the cost of electric vehicle electricity expenses. In addition, the robust optimization model is transformed into a mixed integer linear programming problem by linear programming dual theorem and KKT optimality condition. Ultimately, the simulation results verify that the electric vehicle is used as a movable energy storage device to stabilize the fluctuation of wind power output, which can effectively reduce the amount of waste wind power and mitigate the impact of wind power output uncertainty on the safe operation of the grid. © 2019 IEEE.

In applied research areas, various types of mathematical disciplines have been advantageously connected together with wide corresponding applications. As an applied proposal of this connection, a numerical optimization method of the quadratic programming particularly modified by a principle of statistical hypothesis testing can be seen in this paper. With regards to a computational complexity, algorithms of multivariable Model Predictive control (MPC) can be considered as procedures with a higher computational complexity caused by the multi-variability, higher horizons and included constraints conditions. A wide spectrum of modifications has been proposed in the optimization subsystem of MPC controller yet;however, approaches based on including the hypotheses testing have not been widely considered in applied optimization method. A number of operations should be decreased;however, a control quality may be slightly influenced with regards to this aim. Therefore, the proposed modification is advantageous in an applied form of the quadratic programming technique where necessary information for following steps of a process control are provided. Achieved results are discussed in order to the incorporating of the principle of hypotheses testing in the modified numerical method of the applied quadratic programming.

The rapid growth of photovoltaic and wind power generation in our country has led to the increase of power fluctuation in the tie line, which means that the existing grid frequency modulation strategy is no longer applicable. At present, AGC control adopts closed-loop PI control, and its parameter value is determined empirically. Due to the fluctuations caused by the large number to renewable energy, it is difficult for PI control to achieve precise control and adjust the control strategy under the new situation. Therefore, the dispatching organization is urgently required to upgrade the existing AGC control strategy. In order to solve the above problems, this paper proposes an AGC real-time control strategy based on discrete Fourier transform (DFT). The strategy classifies the power fluctuations of tie line by DFT for separating the load fluctuations belonging to the primary frequency modulation and economic dispatch categories, and only compensates for the intermediate frequency part. The simulation results show that the strategy can realize the real-time tracking of the tie line plan power with a low number of command times, and maintain the safe and stable operation of the power grid. © 2019 IEEE.

A new multi-objective particle swarm optimization (MOPSO) technique for environmental/economic dispatch (EED) is proposed. Infeasible solutions can be revised to feasible ones by designing specific constraints correction factor. And on the basis of that, a new fitness function model for multi-objective particle swarm is built based on the penalty function method. The historical set and global set for non-dominated solutions are formed, according to the Pareto dominant conditions. A crowding distance-based approach is introduced to assign the global leader. Moreover, a new technique called slope method is proposed to further filter the non-dominated solutions based on the slope characteristics of the Pareto optimal front (POF). Then, fuzzy mathematical method for satisfaction evaluation is employed to extract the best compromise solution over the POF. Finally, several optimization runs of the proposed algorithm are carried out on the standard IEEE 30-bus test system, the results validate that the proposed method is feasible and effective. © 2019 IEEE.

RES-CCHP system can improve energy utilization rate and renewable energy consumption rate. It is an important way to solve the energy and environmental problems as well as having great potential for development. In this paper, a combined cooling and heating power system based on natural gas and solar energy is designed. On the basis of the traditional economic, energy and environmental indexes, the exergy efficiency improvement rate is innovatively added into the evaluation indexes, and the optimization design model for the above four objective functions is established. The optimization of equipment capacity and key operating parameters are realized by using genetic algorithm. Finally, a case simulation is carried out. The results show that the RES-CCHP system after optimized design can not only meet the demand of the load side, but also effectively realize energy saving, emission reduction and efficient utilization of thermal energy. © 2019 IEEE.

In order to resolve the key problem of continuous rectification fault, this paper proposes a joint control strategy based on electrochemical energy storage power station. Firstly, the influence of commutation failure on the AC system was analyzed, and a mathematical model with the minimum power grid fluctuation as the objective function was established;Then, the particle swarm optimization algorithm was used to solve the problem, so as to control the output of the electrochemical energy storage, so that the voltage of the DC converter station recovers rapidly after the fault, the power fluctuation of the regional power grid was the smallest, and the state feedback control of the energy storage system was controlled. Ensure that the energy storage equipment did not be overcharged and discharged. Secondly, the voltage fluctuation after the electrochemical energy storage power station was connected to be calculated by the power flow calculation, and discrete reactive power compensation was performed on the bus line to further adjust the voltage fluctuation. Finally, the simulation analysis is carried out by the DC standard test system in the electromagnetic transient simulation software PSCAD to verify the effectiveness of this joint control strategy and achieve the joint adjustment of power and voltage. © 2019 IEEE.

With the gradual establishment of UHVAC/DC hybrid power grid in China, the structure of the power grid is becoming increasingly complex and the number of interval oscillation modes is increasing. Power oscillation has become a prominent problem which troubles the safe and stable operation of the modern power grid. In most papers, the oscillation frequency, damping ratio and sensitivity of electromechanical oscillation mode are selected as the analysis basis to suppress the low-frequency oscillation of power system and improve the system stability by installing PSS (power system stabilization). In this paper, the objective function of the weakest damping ratio of interval modes is used to establish the unit output optimization model, and a method of unit output optimization based on deep Q network is proposed. Simulations on 4-unit-2-zone system and 10-unit-39-bus system in New England show that changing the output of units can significantly improve the damping ratio of the weakest oscillation mode. The feasibility and effectiveness of this method are verified by the comparison with the genetic algorithm. © 2019 IEEE.
