In order to enhance patient care and medical decision-making, smart healthcare services are progressively utilizing cutting-edge technologies. Deep learning (DL), one of these technologies, has become a potent instrument for evaluating enormous volumes of medical data, allowing for improved clinical procedures and more precise diagnosis. This study focuses on enhancing smart healthcare services through deep learning-based medical data analysis, with a particular emphasis on Named Entity Recognition (NER) and Relation Extraction (RE) tasks from clinical records. The study is implemented using Python software on the MIMIC-III dataset, utilizing an optimized Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO)-BioBERT model. The model achieved remarkable performance in both NER and RE tasks, with accuracy rates of 99.2% for NER and 99.5% for RE, and F1-scores of 98.1% and 98.8%, respectively. Compared to traditional models like Bi-LSTM and BERT, the PSO-BioBERT model significantly outperformed them, with the proposed model exceeding Bi-LSTM by 6.2% in accuracy and BERT by 12.12%. The findings highlight that the PSO-BioBERT model provides substantial improvements in extracting and classifying medical entities and their relationships from clinical data. These developments revolutionize smart healthcare services by making it possible to analyze unstructured medical information more accurately and consistently. The study emphasizes the effectiveness of deep learning models, particularly PSO-BioBERT, in improving data-driven decision-making in healthcare, which could ultimately enhance patient care outcomes and healthcare system efficiency. Future work could focus on integrating these models with real-time clinical systems for broader applications, including predictive analytics and personalized treatment plans. This approach holds promise for revolutionizing how healthcare data is utilized to improve overall patient care. © 2025 ieee.

In a time where interactive technology and digital innovations rule the roost, educators are always looking for new and creative ways to get students interested in learning and improve language acquisition. This study investigates how gamification techniques and augmented reality (AR) could be combined to transform English language instruction and create a captivating learning environment. With the growing ubiquity of digital technology, language learners may overcome obstacles and improve their English language skills by utilizing gamification and augmented reality. By establishing an interactive environment where students may interact with virtual components that are completely integrated into the actual world, the study explores the effects of augmented reality on language acquisition. Through the use of gamification concepts, including goal-setting, competition, and prizes, the study seeks to inspire students and cultivate a positive mindset toward language learning. Augmented reality and gamification work together to provide a personalized, dynamic learning environment that accommodates a range of learning preferences and styles. The study technique includes creating and deploying an augmented reality (AR) language learning application, then thoroughly evaluating its efficacy. data, both quantitative and qualitative, will be collected to assess how language proficiency, user involvement, and general satisfaction have improved. The results are intended to provide insightful information on the effectiveness of this novel methodology, with implications for teachers, curriculum developers, and curriculum designers who want to improve language learning techniques. In the end, our research aims to close the gap that exists between conventional language learning techniques and the digital age, laying the groundwork for language education's future by fusing cutting-edge tools with successful teaching techniques. © 2024 ieee.

intelligent Transportation systems (ITS) have been identified as a key application of the Internet of Things (IoT). In order to reduce latency and bandwidth needs, edge computing offers a distributed computing architecture that can process and analyse data closer to the source. In this paper, we propose an edge computing framework for data analysis in ITS and present experimental results to evaluate its performance. The proposed framework aims to address the challenges associated with traditional data analysis techniques by leveraging the power of distributed computing resources, advanced analytics, and real-time processing capabilities. The rationale behind the framework’s design and architecture is to improve the efficiency, scalability, and adaptability of ITS solutions, ensuring faster decision-making, reduced latency, and enhanced overall transportation performance.

Sentiment analysis within Online Social Networks (OSNs) becomes a major challenge. Mainly, because of the large amount of data on social networks and the mix of different languages that can be used in these environments. Due to the lack of existing research and datasets on code-switched Arabic-English sentiment analysis, this study creates a new dataset collected from various online social networks. The data is subjected to several preprocessing steps before being analyzed using various deep learning architectures. Moreover, a thorough evaluation of the preprocessing techniques and the performance of the deep learning models have been conducted. This is achieved using comprehensive Twitter datasets in Arabic and English. The study reveals that individual deep learning architectures, specifically, Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs), Bidirectional Long Short Term Memory (Bi-LSTM), and LSTM demonstrated superior results compared to their hybrid counterparts. Notably, CNN emerged as the most accurate model with an accuracy of 83%, followed closely by Bi-LSTM at 82.3%. Additionally, the paper presents the deployment of an automated machine learning tool, which is Auto-Keras. Furthermore, it designs an optimized sentiment analysis model that aims to enhance accuracy. This approach leads to an increase in the model accuracy to 86%. © 2023 ieee.

This comprehensive review starts with diving into the progress and real-world applications of combining multi-omics data analysis with machine learning techniques in cancer research. Multi-omics involves examining various biological data types like genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics, and metabolomics together to enhance our understanding of complex biological systems. By merging machine learning with multiomics data, we highlight the advantages for cancer studies, the deeper insights they yield and increased performance and results. Furthermore, we explore existing literature that showcases the integration of multi-omics and machine learning in cancer research. As part of our study, we conduct an experiment utilizing a multiomics dataset to predict the survival of breast cancer patients. We compare three distinct machine learning methods-ensemble, DeepProg, and DCAP-for survival prediction and conclude that despite the ensemble method that increased the prediction results of DeepProg over DCAP in multi-model setting, but the primitive capacity for DCAP is better in single model setting and achieves higher accuracy than DeepProg with noticeable margin 0.628 to 0.57 on C-Index metric, which strongly recommends using Denoising Autoencoder as the base for dimensionality reduction over the vanilla Autoencoder. Another empirical results conclude that using gaussian mixture model with diagonal covariance matrix for Clustering, which is used in DeepProg, might hinder the process for identifying reasonable clusters due to the assumption of no or zero correlation between different features which might not hold true in our problem. © 2023 ieee.

Software-Defined Network (SDN) is an emerging networking paradigm and provides the cost-effective scalability and flexibility required for an IoT environment. Here, wireless SDN is supposed to efficiently use limited network resources as well as provide smart traffic routing in order to deliver a bunch of IoT-generated data to the remote destination (Cloud). As, with the increasing number of IoT nodes and a huge amount of data generation, there is an immense load on SDN-IoT channels. This paper will mainly focus on appropriate channels assignment to each SDN-IoT enabled switch in order to prevent network congestion and improve network performance. Traditional fixed channel assignment algorithms in the SDN-IoT environments have failed because of large-scale and unpredictable dynamic traffic flows. In this paper, we have proposed a novel deep learning-based model called DLICA for intelligent channel assignment in wireless SDN-IoT. Moreover, a deep learning-based future traffic load prediction model has also been proposed to adaptively assign channels according to the traffic load prediction. Simulations show that proposed deep learning models achieve excellent accuracy while predicting traffic load and appropriate channel assignment. Apart from high accuracy, the proposed models also improve network performance significantly as compared to traditional channel assignment algorithms. © 2023 ieee.

To collect the various fault arc signals in the aircraft wire system, a fault arc test system is designed to simulate the series arc, the parallel arc and the wet short circuit arc. The series arc is generated by fault arc generator. The parallel arc is triggered by the dynamic wire cutting device. The wet short circuit arc is caused by water dripping device. The data acquisition module is used to upload the arc signal data to the upper computer for display and storage. The test results show that the fault arc test system designed in this paper can realize stable triggering of different fault arc and accurate acquisition of arc characteristic. © 2022 ieee.

With a continuous escalation in demand of power, the Indian Electrical system is in constant demand for long transmission lines to fulfil its requirement due to extremely distributed demand and generation location. advanced HVDC system is one such possibility that finds its utility, especially during long-distance transmission. Such electrical transmission systems are prone to short circuit faults, which subsequently leads to a large current, which will eventually harm or damage the system's equipment. Thus, the system requires a quick restoration in order to re-establish power transmission and assure system safety. Hence, this paper presents a model, which can precisely assess the location of the fault in a Bipolar HVDC system. The model provides accurate results which is also collectively optimal. A Bi-polar transmission line which is 814 km long and operates at 700 kV, 1500 MW is developed on PSCAD/EMTDC software based on CIGRÉ benchmark guidelines. The designed model is further simulated for short circuit fault with fault ON resistance of 0.01 Ω and fault OFF resistance of 1.0 x 106 Ω with varying fault location along transmission line at an interval of 1 km. The acquired data is collected and processed for feature extraction. data from both the ends of the transmission line is used for training and testing of deep neural network models. The evaluation of the proposed system has been done based on the mean squared error and accuracy of fault estimation. It is shown that the proposed system outperforms contemporary baseline approaches. © 2022 ieee.
