The majority of state-of-the-art audio-driven facial animation methods implement a differentiable rendering phase within their models, and as such, their output is a 2D raster image. However, existing development pipelines for MR (Mixed Reality) applications utilize platform-specific render engines optimized for specific HMDs (Head-mounted displays), which in turn necessitates the use of a technique that works directly on the facial mesh geometry. This work proposes an innovative lip-synchronized, audio-driven 3D face animation method utilizing a graph convolutional autoencoder that learns detailed facial deformations of a talking subject while generating a compact latent representation of the 3D model. The representation is later conditioned with the processed audio data to achieve synchronized lip and jaw movement while retaining the subject's facial features. The audio processing involves the extraction of semantic features, which strongly correlate with facial deformation and expression. Qualitative and quantitative experiments exhibit the method's potential usage in MR applications, as well as shed light on some of the disadvantages of the current approaches.

The problem of detecting fake (false) information passing through various channels of the Internet is becoming increasingly important task. One of the most dangerous types of such information is targeted propaganda, which always has a specific purpose and uses specially prepared resources. To protect a person from such informational influence, we can use already developed tools and algorithms. This article considers the main features of information propaganda and approaches to combating it;the effectiveness of several well-known modern algorithms for recognizing fake news;the comparative efficiency analysis of these algorithms in the context of possibility of their application for counteracting purposeful information influences is carried out. Based on the study, the most promising algorithm for recognizing information propaganda in social networks was selected. This will allow to build more efficient systems of detecting fake news that are delivered in scope of information propaganda campaigns as a part of information warfare in social media networks.

Digital twins are becoming more relevant for business and academic users due to advances in IoT, AI, and Big data. Due to global urbanization, pollution, public safety, traffic congestion, and other challenges have arisen. New technologies make cities smarter to keep up with growth. In the Internet of Things (IoT) age, many sensing devices acquire and/or produce a broad range of sensory data over long periods of time for a variety of businesses and applications. The use case determines the device's data stream volume and speed. The efficacy of the analytics process used to analyze these streams of data to learn, predict, and act determines IoT's worth as a business paradigm changer and quality-of-life technology. This study introduces Deep Learning (DL), a family of advanced machine learning techniques, to enhance IoT analytics and teaching. Introducing new results, challenges, and research opportunities. This study may assist academics and newbies comprehend how to use DL to smart cities. Analyzing and summarizing major IoT DL research initiatives. Check out smart IoT devices with DL embedded into their AI. Ultimately, the study will identify issues and suggest additional research. The progress of car monitoring and toll enforcement technology has represented a notable improvement over conventional methods, propelled by advancements in Internet of Things (IoT), Artificial Intelligence (AI), sophisticated sensors, and cloud computing. This review paper examines the ways in which these new technologies improve the precision and effectiveness of toll enforcement, while also discussing the main obstacles and constraints related to their deployment. The Internet of Things (IoT) enables instantaneous communication and flexible toll adjustments, while artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning enhance vehicle identification and adaptive pricing. Toll collecting accuracy is enhanced through the use of advanced sensors and the integration of GPS and RFID technology. Cloud computing enhances the scalability and reactivity of toll systems by enabling efficient management and real-time analytics. Notwithstanding these progressions, major hurdles persist in the form of data security, system integration, implementation costs, privacy issues, system reliability, and legacy system integration. Tackling these issues is essential for optimizing the advantages of these technologies and attaining more proficient and streamlined transportation systems.

The paper is devoted to the discussion about how to use more efficiently the information technologies in application to estimate climate changes. The main topic to the discussion is the following: it seems to he quite difficult to choose the appropriate method of analytical formalization to estimate changes in the dynamics under the condition when enough clear visualization of the interesting aspects of regulatory and evolutionary processes is absent. In this connection, the basic reasons that create the problem situation are considered and a way to resolve them is proposed. The consideration is illustrated by an example of the analysis of local climate changes from the traditional conception and from the conception of the regulatory theory on local climate dynamics. The open access data of meteorological observations are used with this purpose.

Semantic information retrieved from the human face can improve human-machine interaction, add new level of information compression and expand the multi-modality in data analysis. Extracting such information is done using semantic segmentation of images of the human face. It consists of automatically identifying the areas of human facial image, defining the different face parts, that meaningful information for humans. These areas include nose, eyes, forehead, ears, etc. In this work we propose a new algorithm based on auto-encoder architecture for semantic segmentation of 3D models of the human face. These models are represented as mesh objects which further motivates us to use graph-convolutional neural networks for the implementation of the auto-encoder. Since no data of 3D face models with annotated facial parts is available, we approach the problem using publicly available 2D annotated data and analysis-by-synthesis approach. Experimental results validate our approach for 3D face semantic segmentation.

Smart sensor system design requires intelligent data processing, which analyzes raw time-series sensor data to efficiently and precisely discriminate and quantify target gases. The work presented here utilizes the response of twin gas sensor arrays for gases such as ethanol, ethylene, methane, and carbon monoxide to discriminate and quantify the target gases. We propose a 3D convolution neural-based regression dual network (3D-CNrdN) for both gas quantification and discrimination. The spatiotemporal correlation of sensor array responses inspired us to design the deep neural network for the gas concentration estimation model. The sensor array set is spatially correlated, and all the twin array responses are temporally related. 3D-CNrdN uses raw time-series gas sensor array data. The data is fed to the network as the 3D pattern, which contains 2D spatial information varying with third dimension time to recognize patterns that eventually predict the concentration. The model evaluation shows that the proposed methods are an effective technique for gas quantification and identification with RMSE = 0.3179 and classification accuracy 94.37%. Furthermore, the proposed method outperforms and provides higher discrimination accuracy and lower RMSE than other machine learning and deep learning methods.

In the last decade, floods have frequently occurred in many big cities due land use mismanagement, and poor water management and control. With the climate change, the flood disaster becomes more intensive and frequent causing a lot of damages on public infrastructure and human casualties. The rapid development of advanced information technology has contributed on how to manage and control the flood events through integrated information system and advanced flood modelling techniques. This paper focuses on designing and implementing Internet of Things (IoT) and Cloud Technology (CT) for supporting the flood risk mitigation system in the area of Jabodetabek. The IoT based water sensor network with automated data acquisition system were implemented and simulated in the upstream and downstream water gates at Katulampa and Manggarai, respectively. The integration of IoT system based on Arduino and Raspberry Pi, and AWS Cloud allows for better real-time data collection and management that could be used for accurate flood model forecasting with data assimilation and machine learning techniques. The presentation and dissemination of flood data and modelling results using IoT and CT systems through web/mobile application could support the flood risk mitigation and preparedness.

With the continuous deepening of computer application, computer-assisted instruction (CAI) has made remarkable progress in foreign language learning. Foreign language learning mainly relies on memory-based learning methods, and CAI has a unique advantage in assisting memory by providing information in the form of visuals, images, sounds and animations, thus constructing a multidimensional knowledge layer in the brain and enhancing learning efficiency. At present, CAI English learning software mainly focuses on memorizing words and quizzes, but tutoring software specifically for college English level exams is scarce. In this paper, based on computer algorithms, combining collaborative filtering algorithm and convolutional neural network algorithm, an intelligent tutoring system for English language acquisition is designed and realized. The experimental data show that students using the intelligent tutoring system show more significant improvement in English proficiency improvement than traditional learning methods, and the average improvement score of the experimental group is about 6 points higher than that of the control group, further verifying the effectiveness of the system in improving learning efficiency.

With the rapid development of marketing informatization of power grid enterprises, companies have strong demand in terms of rapid sharing in information and expanding emerging businesses. Power grid companies need to use advanced and reliable technical means to establish power marketing services mobile operations application systems. This article first analyzes and architectural design based on E-Assistant's power intelligent management system, and then introduces the main application functions implemented by the system. Finally, in combination with the actual situation, it proposes the offline mode and online mode of mobile operations based on E assistant. And the effect of the system after its application in enterprises is analyzed. As for result display, the system design can further enhance the mobile terminal information processing capacity and enhance corporate power supply service capabilities.
