Large Language Model (LLM) Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) chatbots hold immense potential for enhancing user engagement and information access. However, bringing such a system to life on a real-world platform presents unique challenges. This article explores the design of the chatbot, and the hurdles encountered in productionizing an LLM-RAG chatbot for a gardening society website. We delve into specific roadblocks faced during development, including•Domain-Specific Knowledge acquisition: Training the LLM on a comprehensive gardening knowledge base proved crucial to ensure accurate and relevant responses.•Balancing Open-Endedness with Focus: While LLMs excel at open-ended conversation, enabling the chatbot to answer gardening queries effectively required focused training strategies.•Integration with Website Infrastructure: Seamless integration of the chatbot into the society's website involved addressing technical considerations and ensuring a user-friendly *** present the solutions implemented to overcome these challenges, offering valuable insights for those considering deploying similar LLM-RAG chatbots for niche online communities. The article concludes by discussing the lessons learned and the potential impact of such chatbots on the future of online user interactions.

To fulfil the Government of India's vision of 100% e-mobility by 2030, all the vehicles should be replaced by e-vehicles. Adoption of EVs under "Make in India" programme promote indigenous manufacture of electric vehicles and create a roaring market for auxiliary services. Collection of traffic data about E-vehicle in the city is utmost required for well organised traffic management, implementation of smart City, extension of essential services such as use of bus lanes, reservation of parking centres in cities, given concession at toll zones and traffic junctions. To control air pollution caused by conventional vehicle and for sustainable development, promotion of electric vehicle is required at national and international levels. advanced technologies and awareness on pollution control have given E-vehicle a tag to rapid progress in future mobility. Implementation of intelligent Transport systems (ITS) is essential to monitor and get correct data of traffic in real time basis for traffic management, planning and conveyance safety [1]. So, in that situation which is very necessary in future to identify both electric vehicles and combustion vehicles. Keeping that aim in mind we need to detect which vehicle is electric vehicle and which vehicle is combustion vehicle. For that purposes different techniques are currently in use. The aim of this paper is to discuss different techniques/methods available currently to detect electric and combustion vehicles (EVs) and their comparative study to find the superior method of detection.

Significant use of GNSS in the land transportation management system especially in the implementation of autonomous electric vehicle (AEV) in Indonesia, results in the necessity to conduct an assessment related to the integrity of GNSS signals across the Indonesian archipelago in equator. The increase availability of navigation satellite constellations, for both global and regional coverage such as GPS/ GLONASS/ GALILEO/ BEIDOU/ QZSS/ NavInd, improves the integrity of GNSS signals used by the AEV. It is deemed necessary to re-assess the integrity of GNSS signals. In this paper the availability of GNSS signals is monitored using GNSS data acquisition from Automatic Dependent Surveillance-Broadcast (ADSB), which are located in airports. Positioning performance assessment of ADS-B especially in the performance of received GNSS data are discussed in respect to, firstly, position data performance in various location of ADS-B namely close to the equatorial region and secondly in respect to potential internal electromagnetic emission from the ADS-B devices. The position data performance is evaluated by observing 10 (ten) ADS-B Ground Station coordinates for 3 (three) hours. The potential internal electromagnetic emission is assessed by performing electromagnetic test of ADS-B as Device Under Test (DUT) in the BPPT Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) chamber. In addition, the positioning performance of GNSS receiver in a reference station has shown the accuracy and precision of received GNSS signal has approximately 8 meters uncertainty. © 2022 ieee.

data, in its purest nature, has an authority on the systems it accompanies by feeding an accurate representation of the observed reality. In energy efficiency, the underlying motivation for big data efforts revolves around the intrinsic need to understand end-user electric energy consumption and means to improve it. Hence, developing a rich, detailed, and realistic power consumption dataset entails a deliberate process of preparing the data collection environment, configuring proper Internet of Energy (IoE) sensors and managing the collected data. In this work, a novel power consumption dataset is presented in efforts to improve the state-of-the-art of energy efficiency research in buildings. The dataset is also accompanied by a two-dimensional (2D) counterpart produced using Gramian Angular Fields (GAF) that creates pictorial summaries from one-dimensional (1D) data. data acquisition is carried out using the ODROIDXU4 edge computing hub, Home Assistant software, and a collection of smart plugs and sensors. A notable use case is presented to signify the merits of the data and its analysis tools to achieve computationally efficient classification.

The problem of providing smart manufacturing units, via supervisor control implemented in FIWARE, is studied. In order to investigate the problem at hand, an indicative manufacturing unit is considered, and the desired safe performance of the unit is achieved via a supervisory control architecture, being implemented in cloud computing environment. The model of the manufacturing unit is developed on the basis of the models of its sensors and actuators, in Discrete Event System (DES) form. The safe behavior of the unit is expressed in the form of nine rules. The rules are translated into nine regular languages that are realized as a set of proper supervisors. The supervisors are analytically determined and conducted in the open platform FIWARE, using all necessary smart data models and platform tools.

Recently, cloud computing research, especially Virtual Machine based replication schemes and their applications, were becoming prevalent. A cloud data center (DC) comprises of hosts with an enormous of virtual machines (VMs) where determining replica quantity and replication order is a tedious task to minimize cost and bandwidth. Majority of the existing dynamic replication techniques rely on budget constraints and server failure rate to guarantee customer requirements. But, there is a strong need to determine replication order of servers to retain the performance and system stability. In this paper, we suggest two different algorithms for better selection with proper and intelligent placement of replicas in the cloud region. The proposed algorithms towards dynamic replication are request based replica selection (RRS) and ant colony optimization (ACO). The foremost proposed algorithm was request based replica selection used for obtaining the best selected replicas depends upon the VM performance ranking and failure probability based on the task requirement. Conversely, the subsequent offered algorithm is ACO that is helpful to find the best location to place the designated replica depends on the least-cost distance metric, and the replicas availability in order to encompass and regulate with the entire network load and the link bottlenecks. The performance of proposed techniques using CloudSim was evaluated against various pro-active fault tolerance strategies. The simulation results gives that dynamic replica selection provides efficient task replication when compared with the existing pro-active algorithms. Additionally, ACO realizes high availability, low cost, and less bandwidth utilization. © 2025 ieee.

In order to improve the informatization level of the operation support of the nuclear-powered ship platform, an open system of digital capabilities based on 5G is constructed to realize intelligent decision-making and agile empowerment of the power system. Based on the technical characteristics of 5G network resources virtualization and capability service, a new 5G digital intelligence enabling architecture is proposed by breaking through the cloud edge collaboration and multi-source heterogeneous data fusion technology, to realize the opening of micro-service capability of the operation system, and flexible arrangement, give birth to new intelligent application styles such as intelligent operation and maintenance management, unmanned intelligent patrol inspection, virtual maintenance of equipment, etc. for nuclear power ships. The deployment of applications will multiply the operation information capability of nuclear-powered ships. © 2021 ieee.

This paper investigates the application of cloud computing-based dual-computer hot standby computer security platform in railway signalling security management, aiming to enhance the reliability and security of railway signalling system. With the increasing importance of railway transport to modern society, the safety of railway signal system has become a key factor for public safety and social stability. This paper first analyses the security challenges faced by railway signalling systems and explores the potential of dual-machine hot-standby systems in improving system availability and security. Then, this paper details the design and implementation of a cloud-based dual-machine hot standby architecture, including system architecture, signal monitoring module, data encryption module, security audit module, and event response module. Through experimental validation, this paper compares the performance of the cloud-based dual-machine hot-standby architecture with that of the traditional single-machine system in terms of failure recovery time, resource utilisation and system response time, and the results show that the dual-machine hot-standby architecture has significant advantages in these key performance indicators. Finally, the paper discusses the limitations of the research and proposes directions for future research, including cost-benefit analysis, resource optimisation, technology adaptation research and intelligent development, with a view to providing a more efficient and intelligent solution for railway signal safety management.

Prior research has demonstrated the effectiveness of end-to-end deep learning for robotic navigation, where the control signals are directly derived from raw sensory data. However, the majority of existing end-to-end navigation solutions are predominantly camera-based. In this paper, we introduce TinyLidarNet, a lightweight 2D LiDAR-based end-to-end deep learning model for autonomous racing. An F1TENTH vehicle using TinyLidarNet won 3rd place in the 12th F1TENTH Autonomous Grand Prix competition, demonstrating its competitive performance. We systematically analyze its performance on untrained tracks and computing requirements for real-time processing. We find that TinyLidarNet’s 1D Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) based architecture significantly outperforms widely used Multi-Layer Perceptron (MLP) based architecture. In addition, we show that it can be processed in real-time on low-end micro-controller units (MCUs).
