An approach to monitoring the program code integrity of FPGA-based systems is considered. The approach is based on the use of a digital watermark to store monitoring information. As part of this approach, an integrity monitoring method is considered, which is characterized by the use of several rounds of the embedding of a digital watermark in a program code. A basic model for estimation the complexity of the attack on the integrity monitoring method is proposed. The model takes into account the possible directions of attack, both related to the storage of monitoring information in the form of a digital watermark, and the direction of attack due to the traditional mechanisms for protection of the method. With the help of the proposed model, the stages of the attack, which appear during the transition from traditional methods of storing control information to its storage in the form of a digital watermark, are shown.

The rapid growth of the connected devices driven by Internet of Things (IoT) concept requires a complete rethinking of the conventional approaches for the network design. One of the key constraints of the IoT devices are their low capabilities in order to optimize energy consumption. On the other hand, many IoT applications require high level of data protection and privacy, which can be provided only by advanced cryptographic algorithms, which are not feasible for IoT devices. In this paper, we propose a scalable quadrature modulation aiming to solve the problem of secure communications at the physical layer. The key idea of the proposed approach is to transmit only part of information in way that allows target receiver to retrieve the complete information. Such approach allows to ensure the security of wireless channel, while reducing the overhead of advanced cryptographic algorithms.

The article is devoted to the management of innovative projects based on the fuzzy set theory. The project management process based on competitive advantage theory was investigated. Economic, human, and material factors, as well as technical resources, the time factor, and personalization features, influence the creation of a competitive project. The authors summarized the scheme of interconnection of project implementation resources in order to determine their volume depending on the available resources. Based on the variation of indicators, a fuzzy model was developed taking into consideration the impact of execution period, trends and personalization. Fuzzy rules were developed to evaluate the rationale for implementing an innovation project on the basis of available resources to determine the optimal or most competitively attractive innovation project. Fuzzy logic rules were developed to evaluate the rationale for the project competitive ability. Evaluating the factors and competitive ability of the implemented projects, which allows making reasonable managerial decisions, is the main purpose of the practical implementation of the proposed model.

Choosing the right features for the malware detection is a non-trivial problem because malware creators are still changing the techniques and procedures used in malware. If we use the features that can be easily modified without the impact on functionality, the detection system cannot be implemented in practice. With a small modification of data, a malware can bypass even more trained classifiers. The methods of detection are functional only for the types of malware groups for which we have a suitable sample for training. The ability to detect zero-day attacks and new malware groups is lost. As a hypothetical solution, it is suitable to find a features that would not have been obtained from the malware samples, but would be system-dependent, and cannot be easily modified without compromising the functionality of the system. These features should also describe the malware behavior well. Such features could also include system data obtained from the computer's memory. The aim of this work is to try to identify the features of the operating system and memory, which indicates the presence of malware activity in the system, also to verify their usage on order to malware detection.

Specialized data processing aimed to the emergency forecasting on local climate dynamics over last century from the bifurcation analysis viewpoint can suppose analytics on specific phenomena which were out of considerations until recently. The paper discusses a pilot version of the computer software, where one of such phenomena (namely, so-called interannual temperature variability) is involved into the consideration in daily terms for time and temperature coordinates. Cycling is organized per a local climate system, where five logically independent procedures operate with specialized 3D-structure. Each 3D-structure consists of 20-50 thousands samples of the meteorological observations on land surface air temperature daily means. The theoretical base is provided by the conceptual model on local climate dynamics (so-called HDS-model), where both the amplitude quantization (limited by the temperature Hysteresis) and the time quantization (the Double Synchronization) compete. Thus alternations between three elementary dynamical processes with the same period (one year) and different patterns of annual warming-cooling cycles exist instead of traditional trend estimations calculated for the annual and/or monthly means. We believe that the results could be interesting for scientists and specialists in the research and practical fields connected with consequences of the climate changes.

The monitoring of industrial environments ensures that highly automated processes run without interruption. However, even if the industrial machines themselves are monitored, the communication lines are currently not continuously monitored in todays *** are checked usually only during maintenance intervals or in case of error. In addition, the cables or connected machines usually have to be removed from the system for the duration of the test. To overcome these drawbacks, we have developed and implemented a cost-efficient and continuous signal monitoring of Ethernet-based industrial bus systems. Several methods have been developed to assess the quality of the cable. These methods can be classified to either passive or active. Active methods are not suitable if interruption of the communication is undesired. Passive methods, on the other hand, require oversampling, which calls for expensive hardware. In this paper, a novel passive method combined with undersampling targeting cost-efficient hardware is proposed.

Today Ukraine's railways have significant problems due to cargo thefts during both their transportation and at train stops. Large losses of railways in this case require intensifying the fight against these crimes. The point of the research is that for the first time, in order to combat the encroachment on the cargo, it is proposed to create a network of weigh checkpoints (WCP) on the railroad. Such WCP network automatically controls the actual weight of goods in cars along the train without moving them, and compares it with the accompanying data documents for cargo. Then results of the control are transmitted in the direction of train movement via electronic communication. In the case of a discrepancy between the indications of WCP device and the accompanying information about the load, there is a fixed shortage of cargo in the carriage. The optimization of WCP general demand on the railways in practice enables to use the research carried out by law enforcement officers as means for the effectively combat the railway crime.

In this work, information hiding using 3D-printing technology was investigated. It is a new direction of technical steganography. Information data is converted into a digital 3D model of elementary physical objects that are placed inside 3D model of a container product. After printing, a solid object physically contains hidden information that cannot be deleted or distorted without damaging the container product. In addition, the methods used do not reduce the operational, aesthetic and any other properties of the finished product. The possibility of extracting hidden information from a solid-state object through laser scanning was also investigated. We present the results of experimental studies of low-power laser irradiation of test samples of ABS 3D plastic in yellow and blue. The data obtained confirm the possibility of identifying the embedded content of a solid-state object and reliable extraction of hidden information. The proposed complex is invariant to the method of layer-by-layer growing, i.e. it can be equipped with any peripheral devices of 3D-printing of various manufacturers with any materials and principles of layer-by-layer creation.

A traceability tool is an asset to the supply chain, especially the food one. The supply chain involves various sources of data, which is essential for effective traceability. Hence, a traceability system should overcome the heterogeneous data integration issue. Therefore, this paper introduces an ontology that formalizes the traceability tasks and surroundings elements to exchange information. Thus, this article describes the main features of an intelligent Traceability Ontology (ITO). This ontology represents the main relationships between traceability activities and the entities involved in these activities. Moreover, this modeling can be used not only for tracing and tracking product information but also for supervising the product's environment parameters. © 2019 ieee.

This paper presents and explains an implementation of an Artificial Neural Network approach for sport activities (gestures) detection and recognition using PIQ ROBOT device. Tennis was chosen as an example of sports activities. The development of artificial intelligence has given rise to gesture-recognition-based devices. The global gesture recognition market size was valued at USD 6.22 billion in 2017 and it is likely to reach USD 30.6 billion by 2025. This paper starts our ambitious research in the area of artificial neural networks for activity recognition in the sport.
