In solar based distributed generation systems bidirectional DC/DC converters (BDC) are inevitable for the control of power flow between storage units and the DC bus. Wide range of voltage gain is the key feature needed for a BDC for such applications. This paper reviews different BDC topologies with switched capacitor technology for attaining wide range of voltage gain and a comparative study is conducted to identify the most advantageous topology. A detailed theoretical analysis is performed on these topologies and the identified features are validated with simulation studies. © 2020 ieee.

Unmanned combat vehicle group is composed of different intelligent individuals which can obtain location information by sensor installed on vehicle. Try to relocate the vehicle that cannot obtain location information for certain reason by itself, center control unit can use fog calculating method basing on information delivered by other appropriate close vehicles, combined with particle filtering and Bayesian prediction, then center control unit inform whole unmanned combat vehicle group to ensure cooperative combat.

Aiming at the navigation problem of unmanned vehicles in extreme environments such as communication interference and limited GPS signals, this study proposes an autonomous navigation method based on binocular cameras. The method enables the unmanned vehicle to complete the task of localization and map building using only binocular images, without the need for other sensors or signal sources. Meanwhile, this study also proposes a local path planning obstacle avoidance method based on depth map, which, when combined with global localization information, can take into account both local obstacle avoidance and global path navigation, and can cope with random environmental changes. The system uses a single sensor for autonomous obstacle avoidance and navigation, which reduces the computational requirements and ensures the low cost of the navigation system. In order to verify the reliability and effectiveness of the system under signal-constrained conditions, the system is evaluated in a simulation environment and a real field scenario, respectively. The experimental results show that the system is able to achieve reliable localization and path planning under signal-constrained conditions.

Vehicle wireless signal transceiver system has attracted startlingly extensive attention worldwide with great demands of high transmission rate, high precision and high security, where ultra-wideband (UWB) has a satisfying talent to meet these requirements. Channel modelling of diverse parts in a vehicle under different circumstances is indispensable to design wireless sensor system with stringent specification. In this paper, we extract various parameters for path loss model as well as the multi path delay model from the analysis after pretreatment of the frequency-domain signal collected from a vector network analyzer (VNA) with the frequency band from 2.5 GHz to 5 GHz. When establishing the experimental platform, we selected 16 signal transmission points with corresponding application value in the passenger compartment. During the measurements and analysis, we consider and compare the effects of no-load and full-load conditions on the extracted parameters. Also, it illustrates great correlation between the model generated form the vehicular passenger compartment and the model in the industrial scene defined in ieee 802.15.4a.

The rapid development of thermal issues in Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGAs) has significantly affected the delay performance of these devices, necessitating in-depth study. Ring oscillators, commonly employed as digital temperature sensors in FPGAs, offer a means to sense thermal effects. In this paper, we focus on measuring and studying the delay performance degradation of Xilinx Zynq-7 series FPGAs, based on a 28nm process, when subjected to long-term high temperature working environments. We utilize the internal logic resources of the FPGA to create an embedded ring oscillator, which acts as a temperature sensor. A temperature sensing network is then established to collect frequency data. The degradation of the output frequency of the ring oscillator serves to characterize the delay performance degradation of the FPGA under long-term high temperature operation. After subjecting three target devices to continuous high-temperature degradation experiments for 514 hours, the results highlight that the majority of the ring oscillators exhibit approximately 1% frequency degradation. Moreover, some instances of more pronounced and irreversible degradation were observed. Finally, we briefly analyze the failure mechanism. This experiment provides a theoretical method and experimental support for the study of the thermal characteristics of domestically produced FPGAs.

In this paper, we propose a distributed source coding algorithm based on sampling for source symbols, which is implemented by arithmetic coding and context modeling. We propose an improved posterior probability calculation method for this algorithm. The proposed algorithm has the same or better performance than the original distributed arithmetic coding when coding a practical source sequence obtained from a binary image. © 2020 ieee.

A huge amount of IoT-sensor data may threaten a capacity limitation of cloud computing in near future. To mitigate computation burden of cloud computing due to the massive amount of sensed data, a memristor crossbar for Hierarchical Temporal Memory (HTM) spatial-pooling can be considered for energy-efficient near-IoT-sensor computing. By doing so, the amount of data sent to the cloud server can be reduced significantly from 784 gray pixels to 400 Sparse distributed Representation (SDR) bits or 256 SDR bits for processing MNIST hand-written digits. The loss of recognition rate is as little as 2.48% and 1.93% for the 256-column and 400-column memristor crossbars of spatial-pooling, respectively. In addition, we have tested and verified the defect-resilience scheme of spatial-pooling memristor crossbar in this paper, because memristor crossbars near IoT sensor are vulnerable to memristor defects such as stuck-at-faults, resistance variations, etc.

Visual sensor networks (VSN) have a wide range of applications in real-world scenarios. As a result, deployment, coverage, energy harvesting, and many other challenges are tough to deal with. The cost of deploying VSNs to cover targets with particular constraints, such as targets coverage, barrier walls and capture quality, are explored in this study. For a Mixed Integer mathematical formulation, an exact and an approximation solution were presented. Exact resolution of appropriate size instances is difficult because this is an NP-hard problem. Several studies attempt to solve these issues by providing approximation methods, heuristics, and metaheuristics. The Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) metaheuristic is a well-known based metaheuristic which we adopt in this paper. While dealing with difficult optimization problems, this technique provided excellent results. According to experiments and results, the proposed PSO method performed efficiently in both small and large instances of the problem.
