In wireless sensor network (WSN) every node is capable of sense and monitor the parameters in various fields such as industry, agriculture, forest etc., and data forward to sink node in wireless. In WSN network lifetime and energy is key issue because all nodes operated in limited battery power and cannot be replaced easily. Energy efficient clustering technique can be used in order to give better network existence and low energy utilization. In this work, the Secondary Cluster Head (SCH) selected in the obtainable clustering system and performance was analyzed. A comparison among Low-Energy Adaptive Clustering Hierarchy (LEACH), Fuzzy C-Means and K-Means were done based on the amount of dead and alive nodes. The proposed method significantly extends the network lifetime and fuzzy C-means protocol performed well in terms of first and last dead nodes. © 2019 ieee.

This paper designs a distributed cooperative controller based on artificial potential function, which is used for communication maintenance, formation configuration and collision avoidance among unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). Firstly, the quaternion dynamics mathematical model of the single quadrotor UAV is established and the leader-follower formation method is selected to establish the UAVs distributed communication topology graph. Then, an artificial potential function formation cooperative controller is designed to complete the distributed communication maintenance, formation configuration and collision avoidance of four quadrotor UAVs. Finally, numerical simulation verifies the effectiveness of the designed controller.

The soil fertility of plantation area is vital for determining the farmers' success in producing rice. Several factors of the rice plants environment are mandatory to be monitored to achieve the maximum quality of the harvests. Today, the use of control systems are widely encountered in various aspects of life, manual measurements to determine the environmental conditions of rice plants will be less efficient in terms of time. Therefore, a system is required that is able to monitor the rice crops in real time. The method implemented in the research was supported by several parameters such as changes in humidity, temperature, pH, soil moisture and light intensity. Data of every sensor will be stored in the database and farmers can receive notification on plantation area monitoring in the form of SMS Gateway. These sensors will be placed in several locations on the field to improve the measurement accuracy. Based on the 1-week test, all sensors generated stable values and average errors of pH at 1.99 temperature at 1.29%, air humidity at 0.54%, soil moisture at 0.31%, and light intensity at 0.49%. The result of the test was aligned with the architecture, and all sensors showed that the monitoring went well.

Nowadays, Security is the biggest challenge in communication networks. Well defined security protocols not only solve the privacy and security issues but also help to reduce the implementation cost and simplify network's operation. Network society demands more reliable and secure network services as well as infrastructure. In communication networks, data theft, hacking, fraud, cyber warfare are serious security threats. Security as defined by experts is confirming protected communication amongst communication/computing systems and consumer applications in private and public networks, it is important for promising privacy, confidentiality, and protection of information. This paper highlights the security related issues and challenges in communication networks. We also present the holistic view for the underlaying physical layer including physical infrastructure attacks, jamming, interception, and eavesdropping. This research focused on improving the security measures and protocols in different communication networks.

This paper deals with a stability analysis of general nonlinear systems managed by a distributed model predictive control using a dual decomposition approach. The design of the DNMPC is done using an analytical solution with an approximation of the output using Taylor series. In order to test the stability of the closed-loop system, a relation between the order of the nonlinear system and the Taylor order is evaluated. The theoretical results are illustrated through a three tank system example. © 2019 ieee.

Lead-Lithium (Pb-Li) eutectic alloy is considered as the coolant in Indian Lead-Lithium ceramic breeder blanket. This liquid metal alloy is circulated through the blanket modules of fusion reactors at operating temperatures around 450°C. The Lead- Lithium system which supplies the alloy to the blanket module is operating at high temperature and needs redundant level measuring sensors along with other diagnostic devices. The high operating temperature, high chemically active nature of Pb-Li alloy and its reaction with air make its instrumentation difficult over conventional instrumentation. Since Lead Lithium is a good conductor of electricity, mutual inductance type continuous level sensors is the best choice. Design and development of the level sensor has been taken up based on the experience of mutual inductance level sensor used in sodium systems. This paper provides a brief discussion about conceptual design, specifications, modeling and simulation using Finite Element Method Magnetics (FEMM), study on skin depth and temperature compensation of sensor output for the mutual induction type continuous level sensor designed for Pb-Li loop system. It also includes the experimental validation of the level probe using solid aluminum blocks in place of Lead-Lithium alloy. © 2019 ieee.

In modern distribution power systems distributed Generation (DG) is performing a major role in supplying energy to the distribution system loads. Reliability indices of distribution system with DG is a key parameter used to evaluate the advantages of adding such DG to the distribution system. Distribution system reliability is calculated by using two main techniques analytical and simulative. In this paper, the effect of connecting Photovoltaic (PV) source and energy storage element to the distribution system on its reliability performance will be analyzed. Markov modelling is used to generate a realistic multi state model for PV and battery, the output failure and repair rates results from the modeling are then used in the reliability evaluation of distribution system. The overall system reliability is carried out using NEPLAN software package. Roy Billinton bus 2 Test System is used to evaluate reliability and cost indices for different case studies. The simulation results show that PV plus energy storage integration will improve the reliability indices of the original distribution system in condition of optimum sizing and siting of the PV plus energy storage systems.

In view of the requirements of highly efficient cooperative fire distribution of various weapons under the background of future distributed defense, by analyzing the requirements of multi-agent technology and distributed collaborative operation on multi-agent system, the architecture of collaborative defense system and the realization process of fire distribution for centralized command and decentralized control were proposed. Then, aiming at the fire distribution model under multiple constraints, a cooperative fire distribution algorithm based on cooperative game is proposed, and the rationality and timeliness of the established model and algorithm are verified through simulation, providing technical support for future distributed air defense operations.

At present, most poultry environmental control systems are designed for specific needs, and some users with large farming scale can only manage each breeding place separately, causing some problems as complication and difficulty in analyzing and utilizing information. In order to solve these problems, we have designed and developed a master-slave distributed large-scale poultry farming measurement and control system, with a network model adopting a total star-shaped structure, a cloud service monitoring center manages multiple lower-machine monitoring sub-stations. Each sub-machine monitoring sub-station completes their respective tasks according to different need. The experiment proves that the system network have good connectivity of the nodes and strong control, which can quickly collect the environmental information of the subordinate station monitoring substation. The system network can also carry out the edge network calculation and processing analysis on the data from the poultry house environment through the sensor to reduce the time delay. Therefore, the system can reasonably control the poultry house environment and make it in a state of dynamic balance. It overcomes the problem of insufficient control force, eliminates the hidden danger in manual management, expands the control scope, and improves the automatic control ability of poultry house environment.
