Wireless sensor Networks is one such domains where lot of researches and development works have been carried out to enable powerful sensor nodes are available at low cost. Now a day, the Hybrid Wireless sensor Networks have attracted the researchers to focus on communication difficulty between Static sensor Networks (SSN) to Mobile sensor Networks (MSN). In this paper energy efficient cluster based routing protocol adopting enhanced cluster formation (EERRCUF) protocol is introduced for the applications like HWSNs. Initially we perform the effective clustering process using Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) for grouping the nodes according to the geolocation properties. By using PSO all the nodes will cluster without residual nodes, subsequently the cluster head (CH) and super CH based on the trusted valued of each node computed by the Differential Evolution based Trust Inference (DETI) model. Then, an inter-cluster routing is performed by Gravitational Search Algorithm (GSA). The simulation results showed effectiveness of our EERRCUF protocol in terms of Quality of Service (QoS) constraints such as throughput, delay, energy consumption;Quality of Experience (QoE) constraints such as Peak Signal-to-Noise Ratio (PSNR), Structural Similarity Index (SSIM), and Video Quality Measurement (VQM). © 2019 ieee.

In the presented paper, model of the Internet-of-Things node for Home Area Network (HAN) in Smart Grid (SG) is proposed. The node is supposed to be a universal part of the customer's local infrastructure. It can connect different sensors that can be substituted further according to the customer's demands. This capability is ensured by the proposed configuration description scheme that locates within the node. In comparison with known solutions, the proposed approach does not require reprogramming device in case of its function has been changed. Many nodes can connect to the network simultaneously, providing scalable solution for information and control systems in HAN within SG. The developed node prototype implements statement proposed in this work. The proposed model brings to the system advantages of such non-functional features as flexibility, ease of configuration changes without reprogramming node device. Test node implemented according to the claimed theoretical statements can work with different sensors without programming node components. © 2019 ieee.

The existence of bounded data and unbounded data gives a great challenge for data processing in smart cities. The wide application of the internet of things (IoT) makes the data amount rapidly increase. This leads to further raise the requirement for data processing in smart cities, especially the demand for low latency and abundant data in real-time video services. To solve this problem, a Flink based framework with smart city adaption is proposed. A mathematical model for data processing in smart cities is formulated. Through this model's solution, the path with the minimum resource occupancy ratio (ROR) is obtained. The superiority and feasibility of our work are validated via numerical simulation and prototype implementation, respectively.

In contemporary context aware systems when an event is triggered, system responds through sense-decide-actuate cycle and carries out requisite task with corresponding processing expenditure. However, such systems are lacking the capability to establish learned association among subsequent events, furthermore, the notion of the context is embedded into applications that may pose certain processing overhead. Therefore, each event is considered as arrival of afresh situation and dealt with entirely replicated processing cycle. Such computing mechanism where each event is stimulus to complete resource utilization leads the system towards processing overwhelming. This research work proposes a LRAP: a Learned Reflex action embedded Associative context learning based processing efficient Paradigm in visual sensor networks. In which each actuation of the system serves as new context to succeeding event and aids it to evolve internally. Gradually, with exposition to multiple events system refines its context repository with introspective context extracted through processed retrospective context that serves as meta-context to upcoming events leading the system towards evolution of context addition. Such context learning through improved introspective context utilization maximizes the system internal actuation that further optimizes the independent functions of reduced sensing and improved decision with minimal resource exploitation evolving it as a cut-through processing mechanism. Furthermore, when system gains the maximum internal actuation it responds impulsively against repetition of an event through introspectively evolved actuation based associative learning that imitates learned reflex action through associative context learning leading the system towards exceedingly processing efficient paradigm. © 2019 Association for computing Machinery.

This paper describes the design of a multi-camera optical tactile sensor that provides information about the contact force distribution applied to its soft surface. This information is contained in the motion of spherical particles spread within the surface, which deforms when subject to force. The small embedded cameras capture images of the different particle patterns that are then mapped to the three-dimensional contact force distribution through a machine learning architecture. The design proposed in this paper exhibits a larger contact surface and a thinner structure than most of the existing camera-based tactile sensors, without the use of additional reflecting components such as mirrors. A modular implementation of the learning architecture is discussed that facilitates the scalability to larger surfaces such as robotic skins.

Nuclear power plant safety-level DCS (distributed Control System) is the central nerve of the entire nuclear power plant, ensuring the safety and reliability of safety-level DCS application software is crucial. The safety-level DCS has to deal with different working conditions, and the corresponding DCS software has to perform different signal processing processes, and each processing process forms a software path. The safety-level DCS serves as a safety protection for nuclear power plants and requires the desired results for each path. Testing the path is an important way to ensure software reliability. This paper uses symbolic execution to do automated path testing of nuclear safety-level DCS application software, and gives a complete automated testing methods. This gives a new idea to automated testing of DCS software paths. © 2019 ieee.

6LowPAN is an implementation of wireless sensor networks that using IPv6 to address sensors in the network. It's classified as a new technology that still in development. Therefore, IETF has proposed an IPv6 based routing protocol with low cost and power constraints. This routing protocol for Low power and lossy networks (RPL) selects the ideal routes from a source to a destination node based on certain metric injected into the objective functions (OF). This paper an assessment of Minimum Rank with Hysteresis Objective Function (MRHOF) and Objective Function Zero (OFO) in a different areas under a large scenarios and two realistic topologies considering the reliability in term of the Packet Delivery Ratio, the power consumption, the average end to end delay and the percentage of radio activity. For this, COOJA is used as a wireless sensor network simulator that emulat software and hardware levels of embedded nodes using contiki OS as a embedded operating s) stem. Based on results of our simulations, we concluded that the choice of given objective function have affect the PDR and E2Edelay and can achieve saved energy levels. In conclusion, we propose to develop as a future work an objective function with hybridization more than one metric in order to deal with the compromise between PDR and energy consumption.

Aiming at the disadvantage of poor real-time disease monitoring in traditional disease diagnosis and treatment mode, a wearable wireless body area network monitoring system is designed with low power consumption and high speed STM32 processor as the core. The system is composed of wireless sensor network, central monitoring module and mobile phone terminal. It has the functions of realtime acquisition, data storage, wireless transmission and remote monitoring for human vital signs. The testing results show that the system runs stably and the parameter meets the needs of the system setting. It can be used in remote medical system for realtime monitoring and early prevention.

sensor doud is the integration of wireless sensor networks (WSN) and cloud computing. This integration is beneficial for both WSN providers and cloud service providers. WSN data can be kept over the cloud which can be efficiently used by several applications and through this integration the cloud provider can deliver sensor- as a- service. In sensor cloud, there are multiple physical sensor networks which are mapped with the virtual sensor networks using cloud in order to provide effective services to the users. End users are facilitated to execute multiple applications of WSNs through such VSNs. Some applications can also demand more than one WSN at a time. Although sensor doud has several advantages, still it has many research issues like energy efficiency, security, data transmission, QoS etc. This paper initiates a survey on energy efficient data transmission in sensor cloud which discusses and compares the existing techniques of this field. © 2019 ieee.
