The distributed estimator will need lower communication bandwidth and computational resources. Consequently, the distributed estimator using wireless sensor networks increases in the reliability, robustness and survivability of the system since subsystem do not need to transmit their unprocessed observations to the central station. In order to estimates the system states, we first expand nonlinear cyber physical systems such as power system model using Tailor series then it uses extended Kalman Filter (EKF) to estimate the local system states. The coordinator estimator is linearly combined with the information received from local estimators with learning rate parameter.

Recently, large-scale multi-UAV collaboration system have been proposed for mobile sensor network applications and the collision avoidance becomes the core of the scalable control for any multi- UAV system. We present a decentralized collision avoidance mechanism of cooperative unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) in three-dimensional airspace, which directly maps the observed environment information to a UAV's steer commands. We solve the problem on continuous state space and action space and design a multi-module reward function to decrease the collision rate of UAV-UAV and UAV-obstacle, deviation from the planned trajectory and the cost of turning angular velocity. Our method is based on the distributed Proximal Policy Optimization (DPPO) algorithm with asynchronous training framework, which is a policy gradient of Reinforcement Learning algorithm to learn an optimal policy. Subsequently, we propose a multi-scenario multistage training process to our experiment as for a good convergence solution. After testing our method in non-stationary stochastic environments and conducting a contrast experiment, the result shows that our method is able to find collision-free policy for a large-scale multi-UAV swarm. © 2019 Association for computing Machinery.

VSS (Verifiable Secret Sharing) protocols are used in a number of block-chain systems, such as Dfinity and Ouroboros to generate unpredicted random number flow, they can be used to determine the proposer list and the voting powers of the voters at each height. To prevent random numbers from being predicted and attackers from corrupting a sufficient number of participants to violate the underlying trust assumptions, updatable VSS protocol in distributed protocols is important. The updatable VSS universal setup is also a hot topic in zkSNARKS protocols such as Sonic [19]. The way that we make it updatable is to execute the share exchange process repeatedly on chain, this process is challenging to be implemented in asynchronous network model, because it involves the wrong shares and the complaints, it requires the participant has the same view towards the qualified key generators, we take this process on chain and rely on BFT consensus mechanism to solve this. The group secret is thus updatable on chain. This is an enhancement to Dfinity. Therefore, even if all the coefficients of the random polynomials of epoch n are leaked, the attacker can use them only in epoch n+2. And the threshold group members of the DKG protocol can be updated along with the updates of the staked accounts and nodes.

distributed systems can be homogeneous (cluster), or heterogeneous such as Grid, Cloud and P2P. Several problems can occur in these types of systems, such as quality of service (QoS), resource selection, load balancing and fault tolerance. Fault tolerance is a main subject regarding the design of distributed systems. When a hardware or software failure occurs in the system, it causes a failure and we call it, in this case, a fault. Moreover, in order to allow the system to continue its functionalities, even in the presence of these faults, they must find techniques, which tolerate failure;the goal of these techniques is to detect and to correct these errors. In this paper, we introduce at first an overview of the basic concepts of distributed systems and their failures types, then we present, in a detailed manner, the different techniques that tolerate fault, used to identify and to correct faults in different kinds of systems such as: cluster, grid computing, Cloud and P2P systems.

This work proposes the design and improvement of the wireless cloud system services for controlling water temperature and monitoring the pH-value for the crayfish breeding system. The cooling system employs a set of peltier, microcontroller board, and temperature and pH sensors. The circulate water system is used in order to maintain well-distributed water temperature in the water tank. The record data is displayed via the cloud computing processing system, which can be access the measured data at any time and everywhere by various PDA devices via internet network.

Capacitive pressure sensors have several advantages in areas such as robotics, automation, aerospace, biomedical and consumer electronics. We present mathematical modelling, finite element analysis (FEA), fabrication and experimental characterization of ultra-low cost and paper-based, touch-mode, flexible capacitive pressure sensor element using Do-It-Yourself (DIY) technology. The pressure sensing element is utilized to design large-area electronics skin for low-cost prosthetic hands. The presented sensor is characterized in normal, transition, touch and saturation modes. The sensor has higher sensitivity and linearity in touch mode operation from 10 to 40 kPa of applied pressure compared to the normal (0 to 8 kPa), transition (8 to 10 kPa) and saturation mode (after 40 kPa) with response time of 15.85 ms. Advantages of the presented sensor are higher sensitivity, linear response, less diaphragm area, less von Mises stress at the clamped edges region, low temperature drift, robust structure and less separation gap for large pressure measurement compared to normal mode capacitive pressure sensors. The linear range of pressure change is utilized for controlling the position of a servo motor for precise movement in robotic arm using wireless communication, which can be utilized for designing skin-like structure for low-cost prosthetic hands.

In this paper, we present an approach to clustering sensor nodes based on a quantum Artificial Bee Colony (QABC). The ultimate goal is to converge to a better protocol that allows optimal energy consumption. In the proposed approach, some quantum computing principles have been used to represent each individual in the population in terms of quantum bits and to foster the search capabilities of the search process through an interference operation. The effectiveness of the proposed method has been assessed and compared to state of the art clustering-based methods namely Low Energy Adaptive Clustering Hierarchy algorithm (LEACH) and another Adaptive Artificial Bee Colony algorithm. The obtained results show that the proposed approach optimizes, in an efficient manner, the lifetime of wireless sensor networks. They also show that the proposed method competes with and even outperforms the other methods.

Due to the small scale and the randomness of the power of intermittent distributed generations (DG) and loads, islanded microgrids (IMGs) are vulnerable to voltage instability problems. IMGs with droop-controlled DGs are even more weak because no master DGs are responsible for the regulation of frequency and voltage. Continuous power flow (CPF) is an effective tool for static voltage stability analysis. However, a droop-regulated has its own unique features. The steady-state model of IMGs with droop-controlled DGs are different from those of traditional power systems. Moreover, the convergence of Newton-Raphson method for the load flow equations of IMGs with droop-controlled DGs is not satisfactory. Thus, a CPF calculation method based on Newton-Raphson with optimal multipliers for droop-regulated IMGs is proposed in this paper. The Newton-Raphson method with optimal multipliers is adopted to solve the initial point and the steady state solution of the correction step. The tangent prediction method and the local parameterization method is employed in the prediction step and the correction step respectively. Vertical correction is adopted in the initial steps, and then horizontal correction is adopted when approaching the critical point. Newton-Raphson method with optimal multipliers allow to track the PV curves with a larger step in the whole process. Finally, the proposed method is applied to an IMG system modified from 33-bus test system, verifying the correctness and effectiveness of the proposed algorithm. © 2019 ieee.
