With the exponential growth of network data storage scale, the issue of uniform distribution and efficient retrieval of data in the distributed storage systems such as the Redis cluster has received increasing attention in recent years. In view of the existing problems in scalability, usability and other aspects of the solution in the current research, we propose the distributed Dynamic Cuckoo Filter system based on Redis cluster. On the one hand, we introduce an efficient hash index structure-Dynamic Cuckoo Filter, which only stores the fingerprint information of data, and automatically scalable capacity to meet the demand of data storage on a dynamic scale. On the other hand, we use the consistent hashing algorithm to construct Redis cluster, and use the thorough communication mechanism of Redis cluster to achieve the data sharing and efficient utilization of multi-machine filters. The scheme proposed in this paper can take the time and space efficiency into account, greatly improve the retrieval performance of massive data, and improve the reliability and availability of Redis cluster.

This paper presents a series of different routing techniques to be implemented in a wireless sensor network and we consider two main cases. In the first case, we tested both Dijkstra algorithm (DA) and genetic algorithm (GA). In the second case, we have tested and compared the traditional Ad hoc On-Demand Distance Vector Routing protocol (AODV) to the advanced genetic algorithm based AODV Routing protocol (GA-AODV) and the GA only. GA and GA-AODV techniques help in enhancing the performance of the wireless sensor network during link failures. In this case, we have tested routing algorithms while it is considered having faulty nodes to be 15.6% and 31.25% of the functioning nodes. We use simulation to test the algorithms while assuming different mobility speeds of the nodes. Results prove that GA should be used in different network configurations to obtain a better performance in the wireless sensor network.

Many crucial applications of wireless sensor networks rely radically on routing protocols for an efficient data delivery. This paper presents a case study of scrutinizing the usefulness of hybridization of machine learning classifiers in order to develop a Multi-Criteria Topsis based Ensemble (MCTOPE) framework. Technique for Order of preferences by similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS), a multi-criteria assessment algorithm is employed to optimize the built ensemble learner for the prediction of an optimal reactive routing protocol for a wireless sensor network (WSN). The performance of the framework is first validated using six different machine learning datasets, and then the proposed method is implemented as a web application using K script and Python Django web framework. After experimenting with more than thousand combinations of training samples and ten base classifiers for the routing protocol prediction problem, MCTOPE framework builds an ensemble of support vector machine and neural network classifiers with an accuracy of 99.6%, which is far better, when it is compared with the performance of state-of-the-art classifiers. With the appearance of tremendous growth of machine learning classifiers in plenty of applications, an automatic ensemble building machine learning technique helps in minimizing the risk of obtaining poor results from a single classifier system, and will play a big part for efficient. predictions in the future.

This work deals with the determination of the location of an object with the help of an identification tag using wireless sensor networks. This uses an array of sensors distributed in the path. When the object with identification tag passes through the path, the sensors calculate the approximate distance from each of them with the help of a series of Received Signal Strength Indicator (RSSI) values. The data is collected and is displayed on a user interface provided. Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) protocol is used in the wireless sensor network. The RSSI values are mapped to corresponding distances by an initial training and this data is used for estimation of the distance. Path loss exponent and curve fitting methods are proposed for estimation of distance from the initial training data. Further, an error reduction method is also proposed for improving the accuracy of the estimation. © 2018 ieee.

Improving the network lifetime of wireless sensor networks is one of the most research issues in recent years. Clustering strategy based on Low-Energy Adaptive Clustering Hierarchy (LEACH) can provide a good performance on the energy efficiency aspects. In which, fuzzy logic based on LEACH is suitable to adapt uncertain conditions in decision actions such as cluster formation and cluster head election. In this paper, a novel fuzzy Inference system based on hedge algebras is proposed to enhance energy efficiency in wireless sensor networks. The proposed model can bring a good decision support while utilizing special features of the hedge algebra as optimization of both input and output values at the same time. The performance of the proposed model is evaluated by comparing with the Mamdani type fuzzy inference system and the LEACH protocol. Simulation results show that the model has enhanced the energy efficiency aspect in wireless sensor networks.

Entrepreneurship relevance is recognized and the governments investments are visible through the startup programs volume that have been arising all over the world. Universities can promote the entrepreneurial spirit and help to develop entrepreneurship skills in their engineering students. This could increase engineering students intentions to create their own business or to be intrapreneurs in the employee companies, helping the development of their future careers. This work is the result of the first intervention of the authors on engineering schools. A survey was distributed to engineerings students and young professionals in order to analyse their entrepreneurship perspectives. Early findings show that students should learn more about entrepreneurship, however, opposing results were obtained related with how these issues should be addressed in an engineering course. This paper presents a proposal for a new architecture of a stand-alone/grid-connection small photovoltaic (PV) installation based on a cascaded half-bridge DC-DC converter. Cascaded configuration provides distributed maximum power point tracking (MPPT), which increase power generation, but is more complex and more expensive. Furthermore, boost topology of DC-DC converters in cascaded configuration does not efficient works in the cases of mismatch in solar panels conditioned of the different types of PV panels, they partial shading, aging, or manufacturing variation. We propose to introduce in each a channel of cascaded DC-DC converter a supercapacitor (SC) pack combining distributed MPPT with distributed energy storage. Setting the SC pack in each a channel between the PV panel and the DC-DC converter enables using of SC pack for simple MPPT control and simultaneously power decoupling of energy generation stage from energy consumption. The latter allows improving distributed control of DC-DC boost converters in cascade with series connected outputs. To control of proposed PV installation, it has been developed some control subsystems: searching MPPT with one current sensor, flatness interleaving control of DC-bus voltage, balancing of SC voltages, energy management system (EMS). The conducted simulation studies in the Matlab/Simulink environment showed the workability and effectiveness of the proposed solution.

Aiming at enhance reconstruction quality, this paper proposes an adaptive reconstruction scheme with no feedback channel for distributed compressive video sensing, effectively exploiting temporal correlation. Specifically, the proposed scheme divides each block of non-key frames into different classifications based on temporal correlation in the encoding side and selects corresponding reconstruction mode which adaptively utilizes side information in the decoding side. The simulation results show that the proposed scheme achieves superior performance over existing methods in terms of reconstruction quality and computation cost.

The monitoring system in cloud computing environment will generate a large number of monitoring data in real time, how to achieve efficient storage and processing of monitoring data in the big data environment is particularly important. To solve this problem, a scheme of monitoring data storage and processing based on Hadoop is proposed. The scheme adopts the HBase database to store the timing monitoring data, and enhance the field method of wide table storage model improved HBase database to improve storage efficiency monitoring data;the traffic data, using MapReduce distributed computing to improve the processing efficiency. The experimental results show that the scheme is scientific and effective, and it can improve the processing speed of the monitoring system under the massive monitoring data, and solve the bottleneck problem of the monitoring data in the cloud computing environment. © 2018 ieee.

The high reliability and scalability of storage system is critical for OpenStack cloud platform system, for the reason of multiple components require the backing of back-end storage. The RADOS BLOCK DEVICE (RBD), which is the block storage device of Ceph (one of the most popular distributed file system) is used as the back-end storage of glance, nova and cinder components of OpenStack in this paper. What's more, the RBD-OpenStack, which is a unified storage cloud platform, has been build. By analyzing the operation process of the virtual machine under the RBD-OpenStack platform, much advantage has been demonstrated such as the quality of the virtual machine service etc. Experiments show that the RBD-OpenStack cloud platform can effectively reduce the time spent in deploying and migrating virtual machines and improve the read and write rate of volumes.
