The influence of structural factors on the error of current sensors with magnetic coil, which placed on the electrodes of the AC graphitization furnace, is researched. Quantitative estimation of error components, based on mathematical modeling of electromagnetic fields is performed. The calculation technique with the use of correcting coefficients, which ensures high accuracy of measurements is developed.

The volume of data being processed today in various applications is phenomenally enormous. While the computational speed of the processors to process these data has increased many folds since the last few decades, the storage systems designs to handle the processing of these data do not have adequate features. A crucial entity to support processing of such enormous volume of data is a file system. Until, a few years back, most of the file system designs relied on a single metadata and namespace server and the emergence of distributed metadata and namespace designs is seen only recently. However, most of these distributed namespace designs are based on cluster-based systems where the underlying environment is predictive and can be controlled. In this paper, we present Bristrita, a distributed file system metadata and namespace design layered on top of a peer-to-peer network. Bristrita allows varieties of file system operations, supports files with unlimited size with no limit on the depth of the namespace tree, the number of files in each directory and is resilient to failures. The paper includes the design decisions, the algorithms, and their analysis and shows that it can be used to support users across multiple different geographical regions encompassing a wide area network of computing nodes, storage clusters with support for ad-hoc nodes joining and leaving the network.

This paper is motivated by prospective Internet of Things (IoT) applications that exploit inputs from online open sources whose reliability may be uncertain. Unlike physical signal fusion (that can leverage solid analytic foundations derived from physical properties of fused signals), data reliability assessment from arbitrary online open sources is a harder problem. At least two difficulties arise. First, source reliability is harder to estimate from first principles due to lack of visibility into the sensing and subsequent processing stages for published data. Second, by virtue of being open, some sources can be copied by others, leading to correlated errors at a large scale. This paper presents a recursive truth estimator for online public data streams that addresses the above two problems. We focus on categorical data. Many truth-finding systems were developed to cope with unreliable categorical data. Most of them are designed for batch analysis of bulk datasets. This work extends previous efforts by developing an online recursive estimator. Unlike previous recursive fact-finders, ours is the first that can jointly handle (i) changes in the population of sources over time, (ii) changes in the ground-truth state of the physical phenomenon being observed (that result in the appearance of conflicting claims), and (iii) correlated errors due to potential copying among sources. Results show that our algorithm not only outperforms other recursive fact-finders in the case of changing ground-truth state, but also improves estimation accuracy of static state.

Hadoop and its ecosystem have become the de facto platform for processing large-scale data, also known as Big Data, because it hides the complexity of distributed computing, scheduling, and communication while providing fault-tolerance. Most of the Hadoop's features are designed for on-premise data center hosted clusters where cluster topology is known. With cloud-based computing becoming more popular and mature, more and more users deploy Hadoop clusters in public cloud environments. Hadoop depends on administrator configured rack assignment of servers to calculate the distance between servers. When fetching non-local data, Hadoop calculates the distance between servers to find the best remote server to fetch data from. However, in public cloud environments, it is impossible to know the rack assignment of virtual servers leaving Hadoop to fetch data from a remote server that is on the other side of the data center sometimes. To overcome this problem, we propose a delay distribution based scheme to find the closest server to fetch data from. The proposed scheme selects a server comparing the delay distributions between server pairs. Delay distribution is calculated measuring the round-trip time between servers periodically. Our experiments observe that the proposed scheme outperforms conventional Hadoop nearly by 12% in terms of non-local data fetch time. This reduction in data fetch time will lead to the reduction in job runtime, especially in real-world multi-user clusters where non-local data fetching can happen frequently.

Wireless sensor Network is one of the major areas in wireless communications which extend its application in military, security, internet and scientific purposes. For a network which has dynamically varying channel gain and random topology, selection of operating parameters which improves network performance is always a challenging task. Single channel MAC is generally used in statistical analysis, but providing multi channel MAC will improve the performance of the channel. Multichannel is available in 802.11b/g which operates at 3 different non overlapping channels. In this paper we implemented 802.11g multichannel MAC using NS-2.34 and compared the performance of the network with single channel MAC in terms of throughput, packet delivery ratio and throughput. The multichannel uses back off algorithm and switches between the 3 non overlapping channels whenever the contention window of distributed coordination function reaches the maximum threshold value and thus gives better performance. © 2018 ieee.

Grid connected Solar Photovoltaic (PV) generation systems are becoming popular. Solar PV systems will supply power to the local loads and also pump the power to the grid when local demand is less. Line impedance and load variations will adversely effect the efficiency of the power pumping capability of the system. This paper describes how the line impedance and loading influence the voltage profile in the distribution network with distributed solar PV systems. In this context, an analysis on the voltage profile due to the variation of load change and line impedance are investigated in a representative low voltage (LV) distribution network. The system is simulated using MATLAB/SIMULINK platform.

Wireless multimedia sensor networks (WMSNs) applications produce large amount of data, which require high transmission rates. An efficient and seamless delivery of multimedia services in WMSNs is still a challenging task This article presents the design and implementation of a video surveillance system for linear wireless multimedia sensor networks. We adopt a procedure in which every node has unique IP address and can establish a route from itself to sink through multi-hop communication. We present a dynamic queue scheduler which filters the packets according to packet priority. The core component of this system is an open source hardware platform, which is based on Raspberry Pi sensor nodes. Our network is extensively evaluated on 7 Raspberry Pi sensor nodes. We present results of 7-node real-world deployment in video surveillance application and show that it works well in long-term deployments.

This paper introduces a weighted consensus control for multi-drone system for power line inspection in a dynamic networked computing environment. The system achieves global load balancing by transferring data with neighbor drones. Algorithms are introduced and their robustness properties against system dynamics are established. Examples and case studies demonstrate the feasibility in power line fault detection applications using multi-drone systems.

Wireless sensor network(WSN) are most widely used in many applications because of its wide range. In this paper, we briefly study about wireless sensor network and internet of things and its protocols. The detail description of wireless sensor network includes its architecture, applications, etc. The internet of things has defined architecture and protocols with its related applications. With the help of internet the sensor can pass its collected information to its users.

Data center is used as a network infrastructure for carrying, transmitting, storing and processing big data, which plays an important role in the application of cloud computing, CDN distribution, etc. The network topology is the theoretical foundation and deployment basis of fault-tolerant redundancy and elastic scaling in the data center. The state-of-the-art server-centric network topologies such as DCell were firstly emphatically analyzed, systematical summaries and theoretical analyses were made for their structure definition and generation model. And on this basis, the comparison and evaluation were conducted finally from the dimensions such as coverage diameter, connectivity and equal width etc.
