The optimization of energy conservation and the span of the system are the important obstacles to establishing and managing the function of wireless sensor networks. Grouping is an efficient strategy for modifying the load, synchronizing the structure with the associated order, and lengthening the system's life. In a cluster-based system, hot spots arise because the group leader that is closer the sink soon runs out of energy. To resolve this challenge, numerous uneven grouping strategies have been suggested. These strategies have the limitation of overburdening the group leader with endpoints that enter the identical cluster. Hence, in order to strengthen the functionality of a group, we provide a strategy in this research called fuzzy logic - based imbalanced grouping. Generated statistics is used to examine the intended study. The recommended strategy is contrasted with two existing heuristics: LEACH, which employs an analogous grouping strategy, and EAUCF, which employs an asymmetrical grouping strategy. The MATLAB simulation findings illustrate that the recommended strategy performs superior than the other two strategies. © 2023 ieee.

The protocol for routing transmitted data in networks with mixed types of switching is considered, which is typical for sensor networks that are part of the IoT technology. A description of the methods and approaches used to improve the efficiency of using network bandwidth is proposed, and the results of comparative modeling of the effectiveness of the proposed and existing protocols are presented. This circumstance determines the relevance, scientific novelty and practical significance of research devoted to the development of new models, algorithms and software packages that allow solving this problem and suggesting new effective methods for routing and transmitting data in sensor wireless networks integrated into IoT. © 2022 ieee.

Waste Management refers to the process of collecting all the waste items and recycling of the waste gathered and if possible turning them into a useful way. By this garbage disposal systemwe can reduce the amount of waste that is generated and also using those in a effective manner by recycling them which would enhance the environmental health. This IoT system enhances the management of the waste into wet waste and dry waste. This system leverages IoT to improvise the efficiency and effectiveness of the waste sorting system. By integration of various actuators and sensors into this project helps us to enrich the process of waste management system. Key components of this proposed system includes a smart bin which segregate the waste into dry and wet waste. the smart bin is divided into two different categories inside a single box which enhances the effectiveness of waste management system. Our products proposes the development this system aimed at revolutionizing conventional waste management techniques. By providing various real time data on the composition of the waste via volume and various criteria. Promoting a greener and most sustainable environment. The smart bins that we are considering to segregate the waste into two different medium which can be further developed to three or four bins such as the metal bins, plastic bin and e- waste bins. We ensure that by keeping the bins we would be able to promote disposal practices. © 2024 ieee.

The wire harness testing system by Fujian Creation Electronics Co., Ltd (FCE) burdens high system installation costs. FCE introduced ieee 802.15.4 module to develop a wireless sensor network (WSN). However, the WSN designed by FCE contains numerous sensors and each of them needs to upload mass data to the server. This lengthens the time for data collection1, and hence the detection result refresh time becomes too long to be accepted by their customers. Therefore, a solution for the time constraint from the customers of FCE is a challenge to overcome. Thus, we designed an appropriate WSN without the time constraints for the wireless wire harness testing system of FCE by introducing the edge computing methodology to transfer the mass data into a small one. Based on this method, we proposed necessary network protocols and algorithms for the wireless wire harness testing system. The wireless solution proposed in this study significantly reduces labor costs and improves operational efficiency. © 2023 ieee.

Understanding the prevalence and severity of accidental falls among the elderly is crucial. Even for those living independently, falls are frequent and can lead to severe injuries, often being a primary cause of elderly mortality. To address this need, the development of a comprehensive platform becomes essential, capable of continuously monitoring individuals' activity status for timely detection of falls and other unexpected behaviors. Real-time monitoring is vital for providing swift and efficient early warnings during a fall. Conventional methods of monitoring, such as manual surveillance, are resource-intensive and may lack the immediacy required to respond effectively to fall incidents. Therefore, to overcome these limitations, innovative solutions have been introduced. Implementing an automated system can significantly reduce the time and energy expended on monitoring while ensuring a prompt and proactive response to potential fall events. Despite advancements in fall detection research, many existing studies rely on wearable devices primarily within home settings. Extending the scope of these technologies to diverse environments could result in more inclusive and versatile fall detection systems, enhancing elderly safety across various settings. Conventional fall detection systems frequently encounter privacy concerns when employing RGB camera-based monitoring due to their intrusive nature. To tackle this issue, alternative non-intrusive methods such as LiDAR technology have been introduced. LiDAR proves to be effective in detecting falls while also upholding privacy, rendering it a promising option for enhancing geriatric safety. © 2024 ieee.

Simultaneously solving the problems of capacitor placement and distributed generation (DG) allocation in distribution systems with variable power demand is a time-consuming and challenging task, particularly in large distribution systems. One way to resolve this issue is to solve the capacitor placement problem after DG allocation, or vice versa. However, the solutions obtained by sequentially allocation of shunt capacitors and DG units are not as optimal as those achieved by their simultaneous placement. Another solution is to solve the problems of DG and capacitor allocation at the same time for peak load, but this causes answers obtained significantly far from optimal. Therefore, this study presents a new model for the simultaneous allocation of DG and capacitor bank units in distribution systems that feed consumers with variable power demands. The evaluation of the results illustrates the good performance of the proposed mathematical model for the simultaneous allocation of shunt capacitors and distributed generators in radial feeders under variable demands. © 2023 ieee.

The paper explores optoelectronic oscillator (OEO) output frequency control by adjusting the integrated optical time delay line in the OEO feedback loop. The developed mathematical model demonstrates the continuous nature of output OEO frequency tuning for the continuous phase incursion change in the OEO feedback loop. We created a photonic integrated circuit (PIC) numerical model for verification in the Ansys Lumerical Software. The PIC is designed for the generic silicon-on-insulator platform. We applied an unbalanced Mach-Zehnder interferometer with tunable couplers as an integrated optical time delay line. Numerical simulations showed that the applied time delay line provides an output OEO frequency change range of 360 MHz within a voltage range from -3.2 to 0.5 V. In this case, the time delay tuning step is 6 ps/V, and the corresponding output frequency step is 30 MHz/ps. For the precision digital-to-analog converter (DAC), an output OEO frequency tuning step is 7.2 kHz for the minimum DAC voltage step 40 μV. © 2024 ieee.

Development of sensor technology has significantly increased recently. To combat the high rates of fatalities and expenditures connected with injuries caused by traffic, sensor technology and computer vision have achieved considerable advancements. To improve road safety, an intelligent system has been created with the aim of spotting anomalies in the road and providing driving support. Utilizing a combination of accelerometer sensors, vibration motion sensors, gyroscopic sensors, and GPS technology, this system is smoothly integrated into cars. A comprehensive and evidence-based systematic review focused on Computer Vision applications for Automated Road Defect and Anomaly Detection is still lacking, despite the fact that prior studies and applications of computer vision have concentrated on particular aspects of road hazards. The system can identify several types of road irregularities based on the current location of the vehicle by using machine learning techniques to examine sensor data. Additionally, it gathers and compares data from other vehicles at the same GPS locations to confirm the presence of road problems like speed bumps or potholes. The GPS application provides access to a cloud-based repository where all the acquired data is safely kept. The technology notifies drivers ahead of time, advising them to slow down as they approach GPS spots that have previously been identified as having road abnormalities. The results of this poll could provide the scientific community with insightful information that would help improve traffic conditions and safety in general. experience. © 2023 ieee.

Monitoring of patients and updates on their health status are important, especially in pandemic situations. Hospitalization in India is very costly for locals with average incomes because medical equipment is very costly and the population is also increasing, thus reducing the number of hospital beds. Moreover, hospitals in rural areas are mostly far from the locations where patients live. To overcome such challenges, this paper suggests an efficient and economical IoT-based system with sensors and a mobile application to monitor patients' health information from their location continuously. Doctors can also access real-time updates of patients' health through the mobile application. Utilizing improved machine learning processes for better accuracy and real-time response, the current research brings forth a new wearable IoT-integrated device targeted for stuttering monitoring and correction. The gadget combines different hardware and software elements, such as sensors, microcontrollers, and communication protocols, to accurately record the patient's health status. © 2025 ieee.

Health telematics is a major improvement on patient lives and has shown to be a key practice to deliver healthcare services, overcoming geographical, temporal, and even organizational barriers. One of the main challenges is to perform gait analysis at a distance through camera-based platforms, which requires the system to satisfy, beside accuracy and real-time, also portability and privacy compliance at the same time. We address this challenge by proposing a portable and low-cost platform that implements real-time and accurate 3D human pose estimation through an embedded software on a low-power offthe-shelf computing device that guarantees privacy by default and by design. We evaluated both accuracy and performance of the proposed solution through an infra-red marker-based motion capture system as ground truth to understand if and how such a portable technology can be used for gait analysis at a distance without leading to different clinical interpretations.
