The highly beneficial contribution of intelligent systems in the industrial domain is undeniable. Automation, supervision, remote control, and fault reduction are some of the various advantages new technologies offer. A protocol demonstrating high utility in industrial settings, and specifically, in smart grids, is distributed Network Protocol 3 (DNP3), a multi-tier, application layer protocol. Notably, multiple industrial protocols are not as securely designed as expected, considering the highly critical operations occurring in their application domain. In this paper, we explore the internal vulnerabilities-by-design of DNP3, and proceed with the implementation of the attacks discovered, demonstrated through 8 DNP3 attack scenarios. Finally, we design and demonstrate a Deep Neural Network (DNN)-based, multi-model Intrusion Detection systems (IDS), trained with our experimental network flow cyberattack dataset, and compare our solution with multiple machine learning algorithms used for classification. Our solution demonstrates a high efficiency in the classification of DNP3 cyberattacks, showing an accuracy of 99.0%.

3D video enables a remote viewer to observe a 3D scene from any angle or location. However, current 3D capture solutions incur high latency, consume significant bandwidth, and scale poorly with the number of depth sensors and size of scenes. These problems are largely caused by the current monolithic approach to 3D capture and the use of inefficient data representations for streaming. This paper introduces MeshReduce, a distributed scene capture, stream, and render system that advocates for the use of textured mesh data representation early in the 3D video capture and transmission process. Textured meshes are compact and can provide lower bitrates for the same quality compared to other 3D data representations. However, streaming textured meshes creates compute and memory challenges to achieve bandwidth efficiency. MeshReduce addresses these issues by using a pipeline that creates independent mesh reconstructions and incrementally merges them, rather than creating a single mesh directly from all sensor streams. While this enables a more efficient implementation, this approach requires optimal exchange of textured meshes across the network. MeshReduce also incorporates a novel approach for network rate control that divides bandwidth between texture and mesh for efficient, adaptive 3D video streaming. We demonstrate a real-time integrated embedded compute implementation of MeshReduce that can operate with commercial Azure Kinect depth cameras as well as a custom sensor front-end that uses LiDAR and 360. camera inputs to dramatically increase coverage.

The key performance indicators of the electrical distribution system are its efficiency, the line voltage regulation, system's voltage stability and its reliability. For mitigation of the issues related to these performance measures, the distributed generation (DG) integration to the distribution network is being considered as the most viable alternative. In addition to this, the integration of distributed generation in the distribution system will serve to meet the ever-increasing electricity demand on the distribution system and at the same time if the DG system is renewable energy based, it acts to serve another major concern of environment protection. The presented system proposes DG placement considering reactive power loss minimization. System's voltage profile and voltage stability is affected by reactive power loss taking place in the system. When DG is placed with respect to reactive power loss minimization it enhances system voltage profile and stability and at the same time reduces system's active power loss as well. © 2022 ieee.

Photo multiplier tube (PMT) detector-based spectroscopy diagnostic has been installed for plasma physics experiments in ADITYA-U Tokamak. The output of PMT is current pulse ranging from 100nA-50μA depending upon the light detected from plasma. To condition this current signal to a level compatible with data acquisition system (DAQ) for further processing, analog signal conditioning electronics (SCE) has been designed and commissioned in ADITYA-U Tokamak at Institute for Plasma Research (IPR). SCE is a vital interface between detectors/sensors and the Data-acquisition and control system. Typical stages of SCE include current to voltage conversion, voltage amplification, filtration, galvanic isolation, impedance transformation, level translation. As electronics has to operate in high electric and magnetic field environment of Tokamak, special care needs to be taken in design and development of signal conditioning electronics to achieve accuracy in measurement. In ADITYA Tokamak, we had developed a 6U size chassis-based SCE system for PMT based spectroscopy diagnostic. ADITYA Tokamak in Institute has been upgraded to ADITYA-U Tokamak. The spectroscopy diagnostic requirement has also been upgraded. The electronics has also been upgraded in design and topology to improve signal to noise ratio, increase the channel density, lower the power consumption and easy to maintain. The paper presents new electronics of Adity-U Tokamak. © 2024 ieee.

Microservices break down monolithic applications into smaller components and have become a popular model for application deployment. In this model, load balancing has moved from the server to the request side where a load balancer resides with each upstream service. Least Connection, a derivative of the Join the Shortest Queue (JSQ), is a popular algorithm used in the microservice architecture. Despite JSQ being proven to be nearly optimal in certain scenarios, Least Connection significantly underperforms in microservices and edge environments. My thesis aims to adapt load balancing to the microservices environment such that they can autonomously choose from a collection of approaches to mitigate widening of response time distributions.

The accretion of distributed generation in the power system has caused remarkable effects in the reliability of the system. The reliability evaluation strategies for renewable energy sources (RES) are different from that of conventional distribution systems. The power that is generated by the RES can be rendered to the system successfully only if the power converters associated with them operates constantly without fail. So, the reliability of the power converters also becomes essential since they can affect the entire system reliability. This paper aims at identifying the different methods for computing the reliability parameters of power systems unified with distributed generation. Here, five different methods of analyzing the reliability are discussed which obtains the failure rates of the power electronic components associated with the system. By proper analysis, the areas for improvements can be identified so as to obtain an efficient and reliable system. © 2022 ieee.

Wireless sensor is small, limited energy storage capacity and also using for wide variety of application. Due to its limited power and storage capacities, it is required to collect the data from the sensed nodes. The nodes present in the network are always busy with sensing and transmitting the data towards Base Station with the help of several hoping. Here it is required for secure data transmission for increasing the wireless sensor network quality of service. In this paper, we discuss how we can ensure secure data transmission between the nodes in WSN using Blockchain. We examine a Blockchain-based WSN architecture that offers a distributed network that primarily addresses the privacy and security issues during data transfer between the nodes. By producing unique blocks for each node along the routing path excluding the dead nodes and combining these blocks using the hashing method to convey data between the sender and destination nodes, we adopt Blockchain technology for the WSN network. © 2023 ieee.

This paper studies the application of wireless transmission of sensor data in coal mine monitoring. Based on LoRa wireless communication technology, wireless sensor network adopts ad hoc network architecture. The low-power design, long-distance transmission and self-organizing network communication of the sensor are studied. Compared with similar technologies, LoRa spread spectrum modulation technology can provide longer communication distance and lower power consumption. LoRa-based wireless sensor network in coal mine adopts clustering tree self-organizing network. The capacity of the network can be dynamically expanded. The network has strong anti-interference ability. This paper expands the application scenario of mobile Internet of Things technology, and improves the intelligent level of coal mine. © 2022 ieee.

Therefore, we will study here. One of the technological fields in the communication industry that is actively developing and increasing the fastest is wireless technology. Interconnection is the ability to communicate without the usage of cables, wires, or maybe another removable drives. This network architecture, which focused on offering timely action versus numerous problems, is able to evaluate the info and practically through and cellular networking and it will protect the health records from possible threat by keeping it. In order to protect material from possible harm, encrypted methods have been employed extensively throughout the years. Using communication devices may help increase the information is available protection. In this way, only authorized persons may view the information. Ensuring that now the data is secure from threats, and no one else can. A variety of sensors are used in wireless sensor systems to measure environmental factors and transmit information to a central site. Originally designed for defense use, these sensor nodes are now extensively used in a wide range of business and commercial situations in addition to cutting-edge industries like medicine. Wireless sensor networks for remote health monitoring certainly improve the standard of care today. There are two frequent security flaws in healthcare applications: dropping and impersonating. © 2023 ieee.
