The current healthcare and emergency response systems face significant challenges in preventing fatalities and serious injuries among elderly individuals and those living alone due to falls, delayed emergency care, and insufficient continuous health monitoring. This research proposes the development and evaluation of a cost-effective smart hand glove designed to enhance the safety and health monitoring of these vulnerable populations. The smart hand glove is built using an Arduino Uno microcontroller, an ESP8266 Wi-Fi module, two MPU6050 sensors for fall detection and gesture recognition, and a MAX30100 sensor for heart rate and SpO2 monitoring. These components work together to detect falls, recognize specific hand gestures, and continuously monitor vital signs. Upon detecting a fall or receiving a gesture input, the system triggers automatic SMS and email alerts to designated contacts. Additionally, health monitoring data is transmitted to a secure, password-protected website accessible by healthcare providers. The smart hand glove demonstrated its potential in improving safety and health outcomes for elderly individuals and those living alone by enabling timely medical intervention and continuous health monitoring. This innovative solution addresses critical gaps in emergency response and healthcare for vulnerable populations, ensuring better safety and wellbeing. © 2024 ieee.

Given the volatility of photovoltaic output and the adverse impact of large-scale, uncoordinated integration of electric vehicles on distribution networks, this paper investigated voltage fluctuations resulting from distributed photovoltaic and electric vehicle integration. Firstly, a distributed photovoltaic model was established using MATLAB/Simulink, and three electric vehicle charging loads were predicted. Secondly, simulation calculations were used to analyze voltage fluctuations in distribution networks from three perspectives: photovoltaic power fluctuations, integration location, and ordered/unordered electric vehicle charging. Results show that configuring energy storage systems to stabilize photovoltaic output, combined with controlling electric vehicle charging through time-of-use pricing and other measures, can effectively suppress voltage fluctuations and prevent node voltage from exceeding limits. © 2023 ieee.

A useful crypto method for access control and precise delivery of encrypted information is attribute-based encryption (ABE). A fundamental issue with ABE, meanwhile, is because the analytical expense rises exponentially with the intricacy of the access structure. Exporting of computation in a secure manner is a potential solution to the problem. T hedecompiler may contract out the bulk of the decoding costs while still protecting the privacy of the information. Current ABE with contracted decryption cannot provide public authenticity or outsource the deciphering of preexisting ABE decryption. For every ABE scheme, we must create a special outsourced decryption in order to address the first flaw. The second prevents the use of ABE (with external decryption) in a hostile environment. We provide a broad strategy for changing any *** overcome the aforementioned two concerns, we provide a universal method for converting any ABE strategy (premised on pairs) as just an ABE strategy publically verified contracted decryption. Under the suppositions because the fundamental economic ABE system is safe as well as other person performing the contracted Unlocking is analytical, our method is secure. © 2023 ieee.

There has been a large increase in Internet of Things (IoT) devices used in many parts of life. These devices, also called edge devices, have been known to be vulnerable to attackers and to be used as a medium for network attacks. A simple loT device uses one or more sensors to read data from the real world and performs a simple action based on the sensor readings, such as a motion sensor in a home turning on the lights when motion is detected. Building a dataset to model real-world network traffic, along with pseudo-realistic uses of network attacks is essential for creating an intrusion detection system (IDS). In this paper, we develop an loT network anomaly dataset using synthetic and real-world network attacks. Virtual machines with Ubuntu 22.04 were used to contain the network data in a sandboxed environment. For our edge devices, we use Le Potato by Libre Computers as an alternative to Raspberry Pi 3, which is a popular single board computer used for home automation and hobbyist projects where the Raspberry Pi acts as the computer for the smart device. Each device has Waveshare Weather sensor attached to it, which reads climate data such as temperature, humidity, and barometric pressure. The edge devices are located within the Cyber Defense and AI lab at North Carolina Agriculture and Technology State University. Real network attack tools were used to generate traffic to label the current data as attack data, along with the attack type. In the absence of the attack tools in use, the network traffic is labeled normal, or benign. The dataset is comprised of homogeneous data using environmental sensors that measure local climate data. In this study, we use XGBoost, LSTM+CNN, and Multilayer Perceptron along with various resampling methods to evaluate our synthetic dataset. In our results, we find that XGBoost produces the best performance at classifying attacks when using RandomUndersampler.

The study in this research investigates the application of a PID controller for achieving precise control of a robotic arm, with a focus on emulating human-like motions. The results demonstrate the successful generation of accurate joint angles during arm motion, showcasing the effectiveness of PID control in determining correct angles for seamless joint movements. The PID controller's mechanism, evaluating the variance between desired and observed positions, ensures minimal deviation, leading to error-free arm motions marked by smoothness and precision. The robotic arm, developed in our laboratory, integrates the PID controller for controlled motion, offering a user-friendly and efficient system. Notably, the study extends the application of PID control by integrating an MPU9250 sensor onto an individual's hand, enhancing the interaction between the robotic arm and the user. This integration enables real-time motion tracking and feedback, allowing the robotic arm to respond accurately to the user's gestures and movements. The PID-controlled robotic arm not only excels in accuracy but also demonstrates real-time adjustability, adaptability, and stability, showcasing its versatility for potential applications in diverse fields. This research lays a foundation for advancing PID-controlled robotic systems, emphasizing precision, adaptability, and intuitive operation, with implications for industrial automation, medical assistance, and interactive human-robot collaboration. © 2024 ieee.

As a renewable and sustainable energy source, solar energy is attracting more and more attention, where photovoltaics being one of the primary ways. However, the distributed nature of the PV stations raises serious privacy issues, as the data for each PV station is owned by different utilities that are unwilling to share their data. In order to effectively ensure data security and privacy, this paper proposes a novel federated learning (FL)-based distributed PV station transmission framework. Since the private information can still be leaked by analyzing the uploaded parameters of PV stations. Differential privacy (DP) algorithm is added to the proposed FL-based PV station transmission framework by inserting artificial noise before the aggregation process of FL, so that the attacker cannot tell whether a particular customer is included in the dataset or not. The simulation results evaluate the performance of the proposed algorithm with different data distribution, privacy leakage and DP mechanisms. © 2023 ieee.

We studied the reactive power control strategy of distributed energy storage in distribution systems, improved reactive power support capacity, and enhanced system reliability and new energy carrying capacity. Firstly, the principles and methods of reactive power optimization in distribution networks are studied. Then, the principles and mechanisms of distributed energy storage participating in reactive power control in distribution networks are studied. Finally, the genetic algorithm optimization method for reactive power optimization in distribution networks is studied, including parameter setting, target selection, and genetic strategy improvement, providing support for fine control of reactive power and voltage in distribution systems and efficient operation. Through simulation analysis of the ieee33 node system, it is shown that distributed energy storage can improve the reactive voltage level of the distribution system and promote the consumption of new energy. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

we are now moving into an era where the Iota and sensor-based technologies can monitor many parameters, including water quality. Since fresh, potable water is becoming increasingly scarce in many parts of the globe, maintaining a clean and sustainable source for consumption remains one of our biggest challenges today. This challenge can be addressed by leveraging IoT and sensor-based systems that accumulate data from several devices plus study it toward make insight designed meant for better executive. Most available IoT and sensor-based water quality monitoring systems use a network of devices, generally called sensors or data loggers that are connected to take in the multiple variables related to parameters like pH levels, dissolved oxygen placeholders d, and pollutants. This data is subsequently integrated with scientific algorithms and machine learning, which helps to determine water quality fluctuations in near real-time. These systems can be combined with geographic information systems, illuminating the data and making it mappable so that problem areas will likely emerge. IoT and sensor-based water quality monitoring are advantageous against conventional methods in terms of better accuracy, increased efficiency, cost-effectiveness to monitor long term, and the ability to demonstrate effective real-time information about water fettle. Information like this can be critical for managing water resources, as it can identify potential problems such as contamination or water running out. It optimizes these technologies to monitor remote locations, decreasing human labor requirements and enabling real-time decision-making in sustainable water resource management. © 2025 ieee.

Environmental considerations necessitate the use of Photovoltaics (PV) for electricity generation by end users. One limiting factor towards rapid expansion of this technology is the fact that PVs often take up space that is useful in the primary sector (agriculture). In this context, solutions promoting the combined use of farming and PV generation have been proposed. These solutions are often referred to as agri-PVs. As an emerging approach, agri-PVs require a more systematic analysis and deployment framework. Depending on the crop type, one could possibly optimize the design in order to improve the local crop conditions (microclimate), exploit previously untapped resources and still achieve a substantial amount of local and environmentally friendly electricity generation, to cope with climate change. In line with this, the EU project SolaHub attempts to define a relevant framework for optimizing the yield of a variety of crops such as vines and peach trees. © 2024 ieee.

Ever since the introduction of Bitcoin, the first and largest cryptocurrency, blockchain technology has successfully made a name for itself as the foundation of digital currencies. It wasn't just used to decentralize money and payments. It is also used to decentralize markets more generally. All types of contracts can be registered, confirmed and transmitted to other network participants via a distributed ledger powered by blockchain technology. This research offers a thorough review of cutting-edge blockchain-related applications that have been written about in the literature. Based on their contributions to the pool of knowledge around blockchain, several published books have been thoughtfully included.
