In the era of Web 3.0, Blockchain Technology (BT) applications are admired in various sectors including banking, production, government and healthcare sector etc. Blockchain features such as availability, storage, accessibility and uniqueness of data are more suitable to use in the healthcare sector. Using PRISMA systematic literature procedure, the research articles related to blockchain applications are extracted from reputed databases including Scopus, Web of Science and Google Scholar. The shortlisted research papers were analyzed to explore the application of blockchain technology and adoption challenges in the healthcare sector. The findings shows blockchain technology is popularly used to track electronic health records, tracking drugs & surgical equipment and storage of patient data. The findings reveal a lack of various applications in combining blockchain technology with the Internet of Things (IoT) for tracking patient activity, helping in emergencies and Artificial Intelligence (AI) based systems for disease diagnosis. © 2023 ieee.

In today's interconnected world, distributed systems have emerged as the backbone for facilitating global collaborations and real-time data exchanges. Secure data sharing ensures that information is accessible to only authorized entities, while secure data mining aims to extract meaningful patterns from vast datasets without compromising privacy or integrity. In many difficult and complex settings, wireless sensor networks can be set up, and they frequently have hundreds of sensor nodes. sensor nodes always make use of cheap chips, which increases their susceptibility to malfunctions or errors during operation. Environmental factors and electromagnetic interference may also affect how well the WSNs work. When a sensor node malfunctions, it may be because it has died and communication with other nodes is no longer possible within the wireless network, it is still alive but is producing false data, or it is unstable and switches between the proper and defective states. Defect diagnosis has been the focus of numerous studies to enhance the quality of data, speed up the response time, strengthen security, and extended network lifetime. According to the decision-making processes and salient features of the employed algorithms, the fault diagnostic techniques from the previous five years are categorized into three groups in this survey research: centralized, distributed and hybrid methods. This paper compares these investigations, discusses their advantages and disadvantages, and offers future research based on well-established theories and methodologies because each of these studies had unique goals and limitations. © 2022 ieee.

The future power system is anticipated to have a significant amount of distributed generation (DG) interfaced with inverters. Major concern is to control the inverters and provide stability to the microgrid system. Traditionally, the multiloop and single loop control topologies are extensively reported as to form grid-forming control in literature. Despite having so similar, the stability characteristics and dynamic performance of multi loop and single loop control are different. Virtual synchronous generator (VSG), has also been acknowledged as a powerful tool for microgrid control that helps the islanded power electronic systems through inertia and damping support. This paper explores the implementation of an adaptive VSG on the grid-forming multi-loop and single loop control configurations. A small signal stability model has been developed for both the configurations, based on which the stability assessment is performed. The same has also been verified through simulation studies as well. A typical microgrid, having three phase inverter with constant DC voltage input and an LC filter, connecting to the load through distribution line is considered for analysis. Detailed simulation studies are carried out in the MATLAB/SIMULINK environment in discretized mode to verify the effectiveness of both the control loops, at different loading conditions. Results demonstrate that the single loop control with reduced order and complexity is as efficient as the double loop control. Additionally, the suggested control technique has successfully undergone a processor-in-loop (PIL) validation utilizing a TI C2000 microcontroller. © 2023 ieee.

Dhillon and Kalra proposed a multi-factor user authentication scheme for IoT. The authors claim their scheme to have practical utility for the IoT environment. However, we find that their scheme has numerous flaws such as insider attack and inefficient authentication. An adversary can work as a middle-man between the sensor node and the user, and the user can set-up a session key with the sensor node. Besides, the scheme does not establish the mutual authentication between every pair of entities. Thus, the scheme is inconvenient for practical use. We conclude this article by providing some suggestions for the improvement of the analysed scheme to remove the weaknesses identified in it. © 2022 ieee.

For smart grid sensor system-on-chips, traditional bandgap reference circuits have high power consumption, so low-power bandgap reference circuits must be designed that can meet their complex operating environments. This work designs a low-power bandgap reference voltage source for smart grid sensor system chips. Compared to traditional bandgap reference voltage sources, this design combines the high stability of the traditional BJT bandgap reference and the low power consumption characteristics of the sub-threshold bandgap reference, and they are controlled by a digital signal. In normal mode, only conventional BJT bandgap reference (main bandgap) works, and only the sub-threshold low-power bandgap reference (auxiliary bandgap) works in sleep mode. Realized in UMC 55nm ULP CMOS process, the normal mode power consumption is 65 μ W, the temperature coefficient (TC) is 7.7ppm/°C, and the PSRR is - 78dB;After switching to the sleep mode, the power consumption is 2.38 μ W with a TC 1.45ppm/°C. It provides a stable 1.2V reference voltage when the power supply voltage is 1.6V to meet the demand for stable power supply of the on-chip smart grid sensor system under complex working conditions. © 2023 ieee.

P2P Botnet is famous for the resilience against termination. However, its dependence on Neighbor List (NL) makes it susceptible to infiltration and poison, also leading to a dearth of adequate protection of Botmaster's identity. So as to overcome these weaknesses, the novel botnet infrastructure combined with blockchain emerges. But due to some flaws such like high latency and expensive transactions fees on blockchain, these new schemes can't satisfy the need of constructing hyper large-scale botnet in practice. We propose ZombieCoin3.0, a Botnet underlying overlay leveraging IoT devices to be maintainers and integrated with distributed Ledger Technology (DLT), which is able to deploy bots fully on blockchain. And it is versatile for file transfer, data feedback and other command and control scenarios that many contemporaries are impotent to cope with. Our proposal eliminates the P2P botnets' dependence on NL and the bottlenecks that other blockchain combined botnets have. Experiments' results authenticated that the effectiveness of our proposal as well as low latency of communication and nearly zero overhead of cost other comparatives unable to attain are achieved. © 2021 ieee.

This paper presents a preliminary analysis on the impact of Reconfigurable Intelligent Surfaces (RISs) for the realization of multi-user distributed multiple input multiple output (DMIMO) systems, where the distributed units are actually RISs. Assuming no direct link between the multi-antenna Access Point (AP) and the users, we design the joint transmit beamforming from the AP to the set of RISs associated to each user, performed via RIS phase shift shaping. In order to comply with the semi-passive nature of RISs, the phase shifts are computed via a Genetic Algorithm (GA), where the optimization is based on the Signal-to-Leakage-and-Noise-Ratio (SLNR) precoding scheme. Numerical results confirm that this GA implementation significantly outperforms the common Maximum Ratio Beamforming (MRB) approach in terms of interference suppression and sum-rate, but at the price of a significant increase in computational complexity. Our solution justify the interest of a multi-RIS system for spatial multiplexing, and opens to several further research directions. © 2023 ieee.

In this article, firstly, the demand of WSN (Wireless sensor Network) for power transmission scenarios is analyzed, then the principle and classification of coverage enhancement technology are introduced, and finally the selection and design of coverage enhancement technology for power transmission scenarios are discussed in detail. Aiming at the demand of power transmission scene, this article adopts high-power and anti-interference wireless communication module to improve the transmission distance and anti-interference ability of the sensor. At the same time, a routing algorithm based on multi-hop communication is designed, and intermediate nodes are used for data forwarding to expand the coverage of the network. The node deployment optimization strategy is implemented, and the sensor deployment position is reasonably selected according to the layout and environmental characteristics of power transmission facilities to maximize the network coverage. Finally, the simulation experiment is carried out, and the results show that the network coverage has been significantly improved after adopting the node deployment optimization strategy. At the same time, this method not only improves the communication quality, but also increases the data transmission rate. This shows the effectiveness of this method in optimizing network performance. The research and application of this technology will help to improve the performance of WSN in power transmission scenarios and meet its real-time monitoring requirements for equipment status and environmental parameters. © 2023 ieee.

In this work, a high-sensitivity distributed lateral pressure sensor based on Brillouin optical time-domain reflectometry (BOTDR) technique is proposed to enhance the pressure sensitivity using a double-coated single-mode fiber (SMF). Firstly, a pressure-induced strain model is developed to analyze the enhancement mechanism of pressure sensitivity by Brillouin frequency shift (BFS). With increasing of outer coating radius, or with decreasing of the Young’s modulus and Poisson’s ratio of outer coating, the lateral pressure sensitivity increases. By using a double-coated SMF whose outer coating radius is 1500 µm, a high sensitivity of -3.51 MHz/MPa in the range of 0-30 MPa is achieved, which is about five times higher than that of single-coated SMF. At a spatial resolution of 1.5 m, the maximum measurement error of the proposed pressure sensing system is less than 0.09 MPa. © 2023 SPIE.
