Wireless rechargeable sensor networks (WRSNs), which benefit from recent breakthroughs in Wireless Power Transfer (WPT) technology, emerge as very promising for network lifetime extension. Traditional methods concentrate on system performance improvement while little attention has been paid to security, making them vulnerable to novel attacks. In this paper, we develop a novel Charging Spoofing Attack (CSA), in which a mobile charger (MC) is charging a node intuitively. Nevertheless, it is launching an attack based on the nonlinear superposition principle of electromagnetic waves, causing the target node to be unable to receive any energy and finally exhausted in vain. First, we explain and model the nonlinear superposition effect through experiments, which points out the potential of launching such a novel attack. Second, we formalize the attacking problem as a charging uTility optimization problem with key noDe timE window constraints (TIDE). Then, we propose an approximation algorithm termed CSA to solve the TIDE problem with a bounded performance guarantee. Theoretical analyses are presented to exploit the feature of CSA. Finally, to demonstrate the outperformed features of our scheme, extensive simulations and test-bed experiments are conducted, revealing that CSA can exhaust at least 80% of key nodes without being detected.

As one of the most popular big data processing engines, Apache Storm is used in many fields. However, the performance of the traditional Storm framework can no longer meet current needs due to explosive growth of data in Internet of Things. In this article, FPGA is integrated as the computing node into the Strom framework, and two optimization methods are proposed for the framework to improve system performance. We use matrix multiplication to evaluate the optimized system. When the matrix size is 256×256, the FPGA-based Storm system has a maximum reduction of 37.10% in the average processing delay of tuples compared to the native Storm system. When the computing resources of the FPGA are large enough, the matrix size of the optimal optimization rate will also increase by increasing the parameter setting of the expansion degree. © 2022 ieee.

Data Distribution Service (DDS) is a widely-used middleware for data transmission in distributed real-time applications, such as autonomous vehicles and robotics. However, the communication of existing DDS middlewares generally relies on the network stacks of the operating system, which brings long latency to the real-time applications. In this paper, we propose a DPDK-based DDS, dubbed 3DS, to improve the performance of communication of DDS middlewares. First, 3DS reduces the latency of communication between distributed real-time applications by avoiding the latency of kernel. Second, 3DS reduces the overhead of dynamic memory allocation and deallocation by a reserved memory pool. Finally, 3DS adopts a thread-exclusive CPU model to reduce the resource contention between threads. We implement and evaluate 3DS on real systems running Linux. The experimental results show that 3DS reduces 44% of the communication latency over FastDDS, which is the state-of-the-art DDS middleware used by ROS2. Moreover, the throughput of data transfer in 3DS can be 1.51 times that of FastDDS. © 2022 ieee.

This research presents a novel method for enhancing prosthetic hand control by integrating Convolutional Neural Network (CNN)-based gesture recognition with IoT hardware and software. Prosthetic devices are very helpful for those who have lost limbs, but limitations in functionality, such as poor fine motor control, might limit their use. It proposes a unique solution to this issue by using IoT sensors to capture user hand motions and a CNN to interpret these movements in real time. sensors attached to the user's prosthetic limb or other relevant locations provide input for the IoT-based system. By putting this information into a CNN, the device may learn to detect and classify distinct hand gestures, allowing for more complex control of the prosthetic hand. By bridging the gap between human intent and prosthetic hand motion, the control mechanism becomes more intuitive and responsive. Early evaluations show promise for the CNN's utility, with tests indicating it can accurately detect and react to human motions. It also uses assistive technology by proposing a method for realistic and effective prosthetic hand control. This method has the potential to greatly improve the lives of those who have lost a limb by combining IoT with deep learning. © 2023 ieee.

Quantum circuits utilizing real time feedback techniques (such as active reset and mid-circuit measurement) are a powerful tool for NISQ-era quantum computing. Such techniques are crucial for implementing error correction protocols, and can reduce the resource requirements of certain quantum algorithms. Realizing these capabilities requires flexible, low-latency classical control. We present the development of an open-source FPGA (field-programmable gate array) based processor for pulse-level qubit control. Our processor is designed primarily as an upgrade to QubiC, an open source qubit control platform, but can also be adapted to other systems. The processor is distributed in nature, with one core per arbitrary waveform generator (AWG);simplifying the design and allowing for straightforward scaling. Each processor core implements an instruction set consisting of timed pulse commands as well as simple arithmetic and branching instructions. Our design also includes interfaces for synchronizing the different cores and requesting/receiving (optionally processed) measurement results. Together, these features will allow a user to program arbitrary control flow within a quantum circuit based on previous measurement results. In this poster, we detail our design along with the expected resource utilization on the Xilinx Virtex 7 FPGA, and present pulse-level simulations of our system in the context of a simple feedback experiment.

Event-driven microservices use events for inter-service communication. Such an asynchronous communication model preempts distributed monoliths and allows microservices to scale well and evolve autonomously. Typically, a message broker is employed to carry the events across the participating microservices. However, it is impractical for the event-driven microservices to accomplish the distributed transactions using traditional 2-phase commits. Hence, the microservice architecture advises implementing a distributed transaction as a saga of local transactions. Though a saga does not offer the automaticity and consistency of a traditional transaction, it indeed offers eventual consistency. The saga takes the form of either orchestration or choreography depending on the number of microservices that intend to collaborate. Sagas are used across various business domains such as e-commerce, banking, social media, logistics, etc. However, saga-based transactions require careful design of the individual microservices to take care of their interactions and error handling. It is even more tedious to implement Sagas in event-driven microservices because of the asynchronous nature of the interactions. Thus, it is always suggested to use a well-Tested framework for implementing the sagas instead of building them from scratch. This paper surveys some of the available frameworks for saga implementation across three popular platforms namely Java, Python, and NodeJS. This survey finds the need for a vendor-Agnostic abstraction for separating the transaction layer from the business layer. © 2022 ieee.

Even though the RNN, LSTM, and other networks are used to extract dependencies in time series, sensor-based human behavior recognition (HAR) still faces some difficulties, and the ability of deep learning (DL) networks to extract features still needs to be improved. We propose a fusion neural network in which an optimized small optimized Convolutional Block Attention Module (MP-CBAM) is suitable for HAR tasks to extract samples. The MP-CBAM is added to two branches Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) with different convolution kernel sizes, and the fused features are labeled with GRU for temporal dependence. Then the softmax function is used for classification. We validate on benchmark datasets UCI-HAR and WISDM and accuracies of 97.15% and 9S.9S% are obtained, respectively, demonstrating the adaptation of our framework to both single-sensor and multi-sensor devices. © 2022 ieee.

Wireless sensor networks employ a variety of techniques such as data recycling, power management, and energy-aware routing protocols to reduce power consumption. Clustering is a well-known approach for extending the life of a network. It is an approach to divide the network into small groups and high-powered nodes are elected as Cluster Heads (CHs)for each group. This paper presents Coordinate-Oriented Clustered Chain Based Routing Protocol (COCCBRP), where the cluster is created along with X and Y-coordinates into equal size. Three phases make up the COCCBRP protocol's operation: chain construction, chain head selection, and head rotation mechanism. According to the distance and energy level, the criteria value of each node is determined and the node with the highest criteria value is chosen as the Chain Head. The performance of implemented work is compared with the existing CCBRP protocol. According to the findings of the simulation, the purposed strategy COCCBRP increases lifetime and reduces energy consumption as compared to the CCBRP protocol. © 2023 ieee.

In order to solve the problem of optimizing distributed flexible resources, a distributed flexible resource optimization scheduling model based on regional energy self-balancing architecture is proposed. The regional energy autonomous architecture is analyzed, focusing on the role of edge computing in the architecture, and explaining the basic principles of autonomous scheduling. The basic connotation of flexible resources is analyzed and the basic characteristics of flexible resources are explained. A multi-objective optimization model based on cloud-side distributed power capacity optimization, side-side model cost optimization, and end-side model revenue optimization is proposed, and is solved using the augmented Lagrangian function. Finally, simulation analysis was conducted based on the 39-node model to demonstrate the effectiveness of the model proposed in this article.

It's possible to define blockchain technology as the DLT-based technology upon which cryptocurrencies and other distributed ledgers rely. This innovation extends well beyond Bitcoin and other forms of digital money. With its help, a new Internet era may dawn in which sensitive information can be sent, stored, and managed without fear of tampering or other forms of corruption. Because of its potential to combat corruption and help the impoverished, among other things, this technology is worth investing in. Any kind of transaction, such as the sale of a home or a stock, may be tracked nearly instantly. Sustainable development is at the heart of today's modern world. Technology like this may be useful in the pursuit of sustainability, which involves improving the here and now without jeopardizing the future. To be really useful, though, this innovation requires a robust digital governance structure. The purpose of this article is to investigate Blockchain Technology as a tool for promoting long-term, environmentally friendly growth in India, and to identify contexts where it may be particularly useful. How the Indian economy may adopt this technology and incorporate it into its system to achieve Sustainable Development is the topic of my paper. Capital market, accountable production and consumption, environmental protection, providing legal identity for everybody, property registration, and transparent philanthropy are all possible applications of this technology in India. The research methods used in this paper are entirely inductive, with a focus on secondary sources of information. © 2023 ieee.
