The building sector has a significant potential for improving thermal performance and reducing ecological footprint. An effective design of the building envelope and structure, along with appropriate choice of materials and construction systems, can contribute to decreased energy consumption. In this study, we focus on the development of an innovative composite material called 'SLNT-PCM', which combines a phase change material (PCM) with a textile-based material, with the aim of achieving thermal comfort in buildings. To evaluate the thermal behavior of the 'SLNT-PCM' composites, numerical simulations were conducted. The results, including temperature contours in different configurations, confirmed the beneficial effect of integrating PCM in the wall structure for stabilizing the internal temperature of the wall. This study contributes to the understanding of the potential of 'SLNT-PCM' composites for enhancing thermal performance in buildings and reducing energy consumption. The results showed that the integration of PCM in the wall structure led to a considerable gradient of 6°C between the inside and outside temperature, with the interior temperature stabilized at a comfortable zone of 26°C. This significant improvement in thermal performance is attributed to the efficient combination of natural and ecological insulation with microcapsules of PCM in the composite material. © 2023 ieee.

In this research, we developed a custom flexible piezoelectric sensor by constructing PVDF/PMMA/PSSA blends using a solvent casting method. This work concerns the fabrication and characterization of the piezoelectric sensor fabricated from polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF), polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) and polystyrene sulfonic acid (PSSA). PVDF has always been one of the best piezoelectric material, while PMMA contributes for the mechanical strength and PSSA adds to the electrical conductivity. Some of the characteristics that are measured within the 20Hz-10MHz frequency range are piezoelectricity, dissipation factor, dielectric, and conductivity. The enhanced piezoelectric response shown by the blended sensor compared to pure PVDF is attributed to the combination of PMMA and PSSA interactions with PVDF. It has been demonstrated that this blend shows promise for flexible piezoelectric sensors because of its enhanced mechanical and electrical properties. © 2025 ieee.

As renewable energy sources in the grid increase, the utilization of distributed power sources has become a research focus, with the parallel connection of multiple small power sources to provide high-power output becoming a research hotspot. When two systems with different current sharing modes are connected in parallel, current sharing cannot be realized because information cannot be exchanged through communication links. Therefore, the Hall sensor is used in this study to collect the output current of the original system. Since the current sharing control strategy already exists in the original system, the average sampling current is taken as the output current when the original system reaches the current equalization state. Based on the historical data and the diffusion algorithm, the initial current value and the average normalized value of the power module in the new system are obtained. The output current is adjusted by module proportional operation, and the sample mean is used as the reference information of output current between different systems to realize output current adjustment. Finally, a simulation model is built in Matlab/Simulink, and the effectiveness of the proposed control strategy is verified by experiments, and the collaborative current sharing control between different systems is realized. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2025.

Matchmaking trading system has become an essential paradigm to leverage the massive buyers to obtain the certain trades in a most effective method. Trading matchmaking method is an indispensable issue in commerce platforms owing to sellers and buyers exiting in heterogeneous bidder and prices. Matchmaking method is a fundamental approach in trading platforms, while currently most researchers and systems are considered and relayed on a concentrated servers leads to ignore the server safety in assigning trading platforms and the risk of sensitive information leakage by utilizing a centralized server. In this paper, we concentrate on distributed matchmaking approach for buyers with diversity sellers in trading platforms and propose an allocation method DMTP to maximize the social welfare by utilizing the block chain trading technology with reasonable computation and communication costs. Extensively experimental results indicate that proposed mechanism can greatly enhance the successful ratio of matchmaking trades and compare proposed mechanism social welfare with exiting trading algorithms. © 2022 ieee.

In the conventional power flow calculation, the load is mostly treated as a constant power node. When the voltage deviation occurs, the static voltage characteristics of the load will change, resulting in the change of the power flow calculation. This situation is more likely to occur in the distribution network with distributed power supply. Therefore, it is very important to consider the static voltage response characteristics of the load in the power flow calculation. In the existing literature, when evaluating and optimizing voltage stability, deterministic indicators are usually used to evaluate the voltage level of the system. In the active distribution network with uncertain new energy output, this method has its limitations. Based on the above analysis, this paper uses the power flow calculation method considering the static voltage characteristics of the load to solve the node voltage distribution of the distribution network system. Considering the uncertainty of new energy output and load, the semi-invariant method is used to analyze the probabilistic power flow. An evaluation index considering the digital characteristics of voltage deviation distribution is proposed. The voltage optimization model is established according to the proposed index, and the genetic algorithm is used to solve the problem. The ieee33 node standard example is simulated to verify the correctness and feasibility of the proposed method. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

Wireless sensor network in intelligent distribution network with broad prospects for development, but there are many kinds of wireless sensor network topology structure and communication protocol, how to design a wireless sensor low-power networking scheme suitable for the application scenarios of distribution station building, column transformer and box transformer in intelligent distribution network is an urgent problem to be solved at present. In this paper, by comparing different wireless network topology structure, optimize the topology of wireless sensor networks in intelligent distribution networks, and the characteristics of various wireless communication protocols are compared and analyzed. Combined with the actual characteristics of intelligent distribution network distribution station building, column transformer and box transformer, a reasonable wireless sensor network communication protocol is selected. Finally, the networking design scheme of wireless sensor network in the application scenario of intelligent distribution network distribution station building, column transformer and box transformer is proposed. The research results will provide effective solutions for the wide application of wireless sensor networks in intelligent distribution networks. © 2022 ieee.

In the era of business, business intelligence (BI) technology can inform the decision-maker of the right data and insight. In this study, a business intelligence model is built to help the marketing department build an efficient promotion strategy. This paper aims to understand the impact of segmenting customers using the soft clustering technique (fuzz-c-means) based on their spending behavior or Recency, Frequency, and Monetary Model (RFM model) on product affiliation or market basket analysis to develop more efficient promotions to target customers. This aim is approached first by, downloading a dataset called online retail from Kaggle, exploring data to remove the missing value and detect and remove outliers, and constructing an RFM model (Recency, frequency, and monetary). Second, the clustering algorithm is performed fuzzy-c-means, to segment customers into clusters with similar characteristics. Third, product affiliation or association rules are obtained as per cluster using the FP-growth algorithm. Eventually, spending behavior is concluded to show a significant impact on product affiliation which means that clustering based on spending behavior increases the efficiency of market basket analysis (MBA). © 2023 ieee.

"computing continuum" systems are expected to sculpt our future society through a manifold of applications, most of them leveraging artificial intelligence systems. However, their inherent complexity, brought by their dependency on their underlying infrastructure, requires to propose new methodologies for managing them. The methodologies that are now in place are founded on the first Internet systems and they are not able to cope with the complexity of these systems. In this article we first develop the idea of the complexity on these "computing continuum" systems that have Edge Intelligence applications running on them. Then we present our vision on how to represent and manage these emerging systems. Based on a use case, we highlight the system's inherent complexity and we finally sketch how our vision would work on the showcased system.

This study proposes a highly sensitive plasmonic sensor utilizing a Metal-Insulator-Metal (MIM) waveguide incorporating a stub-connected circular dual-ring resonator. The sensor consists of two rectangular waveguides coupled with a stub-connected double ring resonator, where the electromagnetic (EM) wave appears at the output port only when resonance occurs within the resonator at a specific wavelength. The sensor's performance is assessed through computational modeling using the Finite-Difference Time-Domain (FDTD) technique. The results reveal four distinct sensitivity peaks across the visible and near-infrared wavelength ranges. By refining geometrical parameters such as the radius of the ring, the optimized sensor achieves a peak sensitivity of 2063 nm/RIU around peak 4 in the near-infrared region. It's remarkable ability to identify even the tiniest shift in refractive index makes it highly effective for biosensing applications. © 2025 ieee.
