Large-scale distributed photovoltaic (PV) connected to the grid brings great risk to the safety operation. Measures of cutting PV to reduce active power input are widely taken to stabilize the voltage during periods of large PV output, resulting in energy waste and economic losses for PV operators. To reduce PV cutting, energy storage (ES) units are considered to be applied to the distribution system with the cost of the ES operating model and the cost of the life loss model. Then, based on the Distflow model of power transmission constraint, a two-objective optimization model, including the minimum of comprehensive operating cost and the active power reduction by cutting PV is established. Lastly, to select a compromise solution, the linear membership function is used to search for the maximum satisfaction scheme from the Pareto solution set. The simulation of the ieee 33-nodes example verifies the effectiveness of the proposed two-objective optimization model. Pareto solution sets with different weight coefficients provide a reference for decision makers and the maximum satisfaction scheme based on the linear membership function is a compromise solution of double objective function. The balance of the two strategies is realized while the voltage is not exceeded. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

In India, nearly 20 percent of the electricity is lost due to technical and commercial reasons. Three billion units of power are wasted every year. The Automation of lighting system with the usage of Arduino and PIR sensor is a on hand project, place room light will mechanically flip ON upon sensing an object action besides proceed to be grew to supply up on till the man or girl has left or there is no gesticulation. Operation of this assignment is same on hand and is described here. Initially, when there is no object motion, the PIR sensor does not appear to be at any man or girl and its data OUT pin sojourns LOW. Activity studies range from detecting key indicators such as steps, active minutes, or sedentary bouts, to the recognition of physical activities such as specific fitness exercises. Such types of activity recognition rely on large amounts of data from multiple persons, especially with deep learning. However, current benchmark datasets rarely have more than a dozen participants. Once wearable devices are phased out, closed algorithms that operate on the sensor data are hard to reproduce and devices supply raw data. We present an open-source and cost-effective framework that is able to capture daily activities and routines and which uses publicly available algorithms, while avoiding any device-specific implementations. In a feasibility study, we were able to test our system in production mode. For this purpose, we distributed the *** smartwatch as well as our app to 12 study participants, who started the watches at a time of individual choice every day. The collected data was then transferred to the server at the end of each day.

The introduction of artificial intelligence (AI) agents into the power grid has the potential to significantly increase the efficiency and robustness of this critical infrastructure system. AI agents could manage energy markets to efficiently coordinate multi-modal energy production capabilities, as renewables increasingly complement coal, gas, and other non-renewable sources. However, widespread use of AI management may result in challenges akin to those brought about by high-frequency trading in financial markets. While AI agents could manage many complexities in a future power grid, they could also introduce instability, similar to how high-frequency trading resulted in unpredictable market flash crashes. Agents being deployed thus need to be studied and evaluated to identify and mitigate potential failures. This work shows that an environment composed of a model of an energy market and a collection of homes can be used to begin evaluating these agents to better assess their utility. Models, tightly coupled with real-world data, would allow utilities and other stakeholders to deploy autonomous agents in an assured manner. © 2024 ieee.

Anomaly detection strategies rent statistical techniques to hit upon patterns that deviate from ordinary network conduct. traffic filtering involves figuring out and blockading malicious site visitors, even as site visitors shaping manages and controls the flow of legitimate visitors to prevent congestion and enhance community overall performance. © 2023 ieee.

The frequent interchange of information between nodes is made possible by a lifetime extension of battery-operated devices, which is a crucial design consideration. A broad framework for the performance trade-off between packet error rate (PER) and network lifespan in Wireless sensor networks (WSN) and collaborative wireless network sensors (CWSN) is provided in this research. According to the simulation results, when there are more sensors added, the PER for WSNs lowers. Additionally, it has been shown that choosing the sensors with the longest lifespan is no longer the best course of action for reducing PER. As the number of sensors surpasses a specific threshold, it is demonstrated that the drop in the PER is not proportional to the growth in the network lifespan. The lifetime performance of CWSN also grows with the number of sensors, and its PER falls with the number of sensors. © 2022 ieee.

Telemedicine technology has witnessed an increasing interest in healthcare institutions to provide health services to patients during outbreaks of epidemics due to the precautionary measures taken by many countries around the world. Many patients received ongoing, regular telemonitoring from their healthcare providers. However, the success of telemedicine is highly dependent on physicians' acceptance. Despite all the benefits associated with the use of this technology and its applications, it is not given the required consideration in Libyan health institutions. This paper explores physicians' knowledge and perceptions of telemedicine technology in hospitals. This study aimed to assess the level of knowledge possessed by physicians regarding telemedicine and their perceptions of its use in hospital settings. A survey was conducted for physicians working in a private Libyan hospital, where the sample used in the study was 60, and the questionnaire was distributed to them. The results of the study showed that (70.4%) of the physicians know about telemedicine, although they are not familiar with its applications, as they did not attend introductory lectures on telemedicine in their workplaces. The results provided insights into the current understanding and attitudes of clinicians towards telemedicine technology, which can guide strategies for its effective integration into healthcare systems. However, the results indicated some potential barriers when using telemedicine, including the need for training, poor infrastructure, financial issues, and lack of human resources to operate the equipment, which negatively affects the application of telemedicine in Libyan hospitals. © 2023 ieee.

The accuracy of the neural networks can usually be improved by increasing the size of the dataset and the layers or operators of the network, as it has strong composability. But, it makes a challenge to train these models efficiently, due to the limited resources of a single device, such as memory, computational resource and so on. For this challenge, it has become an inevitable trend to automatically implement model parallelism across multiple devices. This paper proposes Aware, an adaptive distributed parallel training method, to search distributed parallel strategy automatically for deep learning model. It firstly proposes an operator fusion strategy with computation and communication awareness to simplify the computational graph of deep learning model. And then, it introduces position-aware graph embedding algorithm to extract the structural features of models, which can make the searched parallel strategies to transplant to other networks with similar structures. On this basis, we use reinforcement learning algorithm to search distributed parallel strategy automatically. This paper makes experiments with neural networks such as Inception V3, NMT, GNM, NasNet and ResNet, and uses CIFAR10 and PTB datasets to compare the two methods of Hierarchical and Placeto. The results show that compared with Placeto, Aware achieves up to 5% reductions in runtime. Aware achieves more than 8% reductions in runtime compared with Hierarchical. Moreover, it has better transplantation and generalization capabilities, and supports pre-training for large-scale network parallel strategy search and accelerates convergence. © 2022 ieee.
