A Wireless sensor Network (WSN) is a network that comprises of independent sensor nodes which communicate with one another to share data. The routing techniques, regarded as a fundamental component of WSNs, govern how a node can transfer data in real-time. Location-based routing is one of the routing strategies used in wireless sensor networks to convey data by utilizing the position information of the node. In this article, a variety of location-based routing protocols such as GAF, GEAR, GPSR, and DREAM used in wireless sensor networks are considered for the study. In addition to that, the performance of selected location-based protocols is investigated using simulations based on several network parameters such as network delay, data loss ratio, data delivery ratio, and network throughput against different sizes of the network. The simulation results prove that, based on only the network parameter, picking up the best protocol is critical because the performance of each protocol also depends on the size of the network. © 2022 ieee.

Virtual power plants can help active distribution networks fully utilize and efficiently manage large amounts of distributed energy resources by calculating the aggregate flexibility of VPPs at the point of common coupling, which is usually described as a two-stage robust optimization problem. Column and constraint generation algorithm has become a mature method for solving two-stage robust optimization problem, which decomposes the original problem into master problem and sub-problem. However, solving sub-problem is usually time-consuming. In order to improve the solving efficiency of sub-problem, two acceleration strategies are proposed in this paper. Firstly, we linearize the bilinear term in the SP objective function using a binary expansion. Then, an extreme scenarios method is adopted to deal with the randomness of renewables, which allows sub-problem to be solved in parallel and reduces unnecessary conservativeness. In addition, a max-min model is constructed to obtain an upper bound of the actual operating cost of virtual power plants. The cost functions of virtual power plants can be expressed as a group of piecewise-linear functions based on convex hull. Finally, the correctness and effectiveness of the proposed method are verified by numerical test results of three different distribution systems. © 2023 ieee.

Underwater wireless sensor networks (UWSNs) are a prominent research topic in academia and industry, with a wide range of underwater applications including ocean monitoring, seismic monitoring, environmental monitoring, and seabed exploration. However, UWSNs face a number of restrictions and obstacles, including high ocean interference and noise, long propagation times, narrow bandwidth, changeable network architecture, and sensor's battery life. One of the solutions to these problems is to build efficient routing protocols. A routing protocol can move data from a source node to a destination node in the network efficiently. A review of underwater routing protocols for UWSNs is presented in this paper. Existing underwater routing protocols are categorized into three categories: energy-based, data-based, and geographic information-based protocols. Recent underwater routing protocols are discussed in depth, by presenting their benefits, drawbacks and performance. In addition, We discuss challenges and future directions of underwater routing protocols, which can assist researchers interested to explore further this important research topic. © IET conference Proceedings 2022.

An electrode polarization impedance-based sensor was developed due to the increasing demand for accurate and non-invasive methods to monitor the level of sugar and salt in drinks. This sensor is based on the description of a reliable process of using a four-electrode system for measuring the levels of sugar and salt in various drinks. There are two pairs of electrodes in the system: the inner pair senses voltage, and the outer pair delivers a regulated AC signal. Ionic (salt) and non-ionic (sugar) molecules in the solution both affect the electrode polarization impedance (ZP), and changes in voltage mirror these effects. As per experimental data, there exists a clear inverse relationship between the output voltage and sugar and salt content, which makes this method suitable for real-time monitoring of beverage composition. Sensitivity analysis of the sensor offers similar results for various beverages with increased sensitivity observed at increasing salt concentrations. The proposed method is a good tool for industry and research applications, as it presents a non-invasive, reliable, and cheap alternative to food safety management, health monitoring, and the soft drink industry. © 2025 ieee.

Bacterial Cellulose (BC) is a promising biodegradable biopolymer synthesized by bacteria in a low energy consumption process based solely on renewable materials (a sucrose-based culture is required). BC-based composites exhibit excellent mechano-electrical transduction properties. However, there has been no systematic optimization of BC-based composites for the realization of transduction or low-cost electronics on BC. In this study, we propose different modeling paradigms categorized according to their basic principles: first principle white-box, grey-box, and black-box models. These paradigms have different levels of detail, interpretability and explainability, which are crucial for understanding model dynamics. The overall mltiphysics white-box model integrates electrical, mechanical and chemical effects into a unique solution, focusing on the coupling factors between the physics domains. In the case of grey-box models, reduced models are considered, while symbolic regression can be employed as enhanced black box models. The dynamic behavior of the BC model can be validated by data-driven characterization using experimental data. © 2024 ieee.

The bibliometric method was applied to search domestic and international core journals on the topic of anonymous communication during 2000-2022, and the Citespace tool was used to conduct a multidimensional analysis of authors, institutions and journal collaborations, etc. The co-occurrence analysis of high-frequency keywords and mutation detection terms was conducted to draw a relevant visual relationship map, so as to analyse the recent research in the field of anonymous communication at home and abroad the results of the study show that in the past 22 years, the number of anonymous communication has been increasing. The results of the study show that in the past 22 years, the number of foreign publications in the field of anonymous communication has been on the rise compared to the overall trend in China, while the number of articles in the field of anonymous communication in China is relatively small, and scholars and institutions should strengthen cooperation and communication among themselves to promote the development of research on anonymous communication. The 'dark web' and 'privacy protection' have remained strong since around 2017 and 2018, respectively, and will exert influence on research in the field of anonymous communication in the coming period. © 2022 ieee.

Dynamic data processing systems are key technologies in modern data-driven applications, widely used in fields such as the Internet of Things, finance and healthcare. This study explores the application and evaluation of real-time analytical algorithms for dynamic data processing. An efficient algorithmic framework combining adaptive windowing, incremental learning and distributed computing is proposed to achieve low-latency and high-accuracy decision-making capabilities. Through experimental validation in a real data streaming environment, the results show that the proposed algorithm significantly outperforms traditional algorithms with about 35% reduction in latency and 20% improvement in prediction accuracy. The research results in this paper show that the real-time analysis algorithm has a promising application in dealing with dynamic heterogeneous data streams. Meanwhile, the article also discusses the limitations and future optimisation directions of the method, which provides a reference for further research in related fields.

There has been an escalation in the load demand and in order to meet these demands, the systems have to be more reliable. distributed Generators help in improving the reliability of the systems by reducing power losses, increasing efficiency, lower fuel, and maintenance costs. The placement of DG in the most optimal position provides added advantage in achieving the above benefits. We have analyzed the ieee 26-bus system to determine the optimal position of DG and measured the system's total power loss. Genetic Algorithm(GA) is used to identify the optimal location and size for the DG. The impact of DG is studied by comparing the losses, voltages before and after placement of DG. The obtained results indicate that the optimal sizing and placement of DG leads to a notable reduction in power loss and enhanced voltage profile. We have used MATLAB software for analysis. After analysis, installing DG at the optimal location resulted in a 1054.16 $/hour reduction in the cost of power generation.

A parking system with technology is an automated system that makes better use of cutting-edge technology to manage parking spaces. These systems typically monitor the occupancy of parking spaces and advise vehicles in real-time about the availability of parking spaces by combining sensors, wireless communication technologies, and software algorithms. In this project, the use of an STM32 board and Long Range (LoRa) communication technology to automate a parking system over the Internet is suggested. Smart parking systems can communicate over great distances with less power usage thanks to the use of LoRa technology. The system is made to be economical and effective, offering a workable answer to the issue of parking in congested region. The project shows that a smart parking system can be implemented using LoRa and an STM32 board and may be further improved by adding features like automated payment methods and parking space reservations. The technology is built to give consumers access to real-time information regarding parking spot availability via a mobile app. The research shows that a cost-effective and practical smart parking system may be implemented utilizing LoRa and an STM32 board. © 2023 ieee.
