The cutting edge of Industry 4.0 has driven everything to be converted to disruptive innovation and digitalized. This digital revolution is imprinted by modern and advanced technology that takes advantage of Big Data and Artificial Intelligence (AI) to nurture from automatic learning systems, smart city, smart energy, smart factory to the edge computing technology, and so on. To harness an appealing, noteworthy, and leading development in smart manufacturing industry, the modern industrial sciences and technologies such as Big Data, Artificial Intelligence, Internet of things, and Edge computing have to be integrated cooperatively. Accordingly, a suggestion on the integration is presented in this paper. This proposed paper describes the design and implementation of big data platform for intelligence industrial internet of things sensor monitoring system and conveys a prediction of any upcoming errors beforehand. The architecture design is based on edge computing and artificial intelligence. To extend more precisely, industrial internet of things sensor here is about the condition monitoring sensor data - vibration, temperature, related humidity, and barometric pressure inside facility manufacturing factory.

Electrical energy is vital to the sustainability and quality of life on earth. Photovoltaic (PV) and wind energy are considered as the most efficient renewable energy technologies. Greenhouse gas emissions can be reduced with the proper usage of solar energy. In this research, a hybrid distributed generation of solar and wind energy is presented using Matlab software. Wind and solar power are two examples of renewable energy which have experienced a recent increase in synthesis due to environmental, social, and technical advantages over fossil fuel-based power generation. The most promising and well-established renewable energy technologies are solar and wind energy. This paper uses MATLAB software to analyze load flow analysis, short circuit analysis, and also the real and reactive power compensation. It presents a particle swarm optimization technique for performing harmonic suppression in distribution system along with nonlinear load. Transmission loss, fuel costs, and transmission line stability are reduced by using particle swarm optimization. In the MATLAB software, the models and simulations for a practical distributed grid is used for the construction and for validating the proposed system's design validity. To make the simulation models more realistic, real load and hybrid energy data is used. The outcome of the proposed analysis is used to display the output as a waveform and this has been discussed throughout this paper. © 2022 ieee.

Rapid inclusion of distributed energy resources (DERs) has led to the need for a reliable energy management system (EMS) capable of managing these resources effectively at a large scale. This paper proposes a novel hierarchical distributed consensus-based approach for solving the economic dispatch problem in networked microgrids (NMGs). The proposed approach arranges the network in hierarchical structure, thereby reducing the communication requirement between the distributed controllers. Simulation results are presented to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed approach. The simulation involves comparing the proposed approach with distributed consensus approach for different network topologies.

With the gradual increase in the number of distributed photovoltaic systems connected to the distribution network, various network attacks and abnormal attacks faced by the communication network will also increase. Therefore, it is very important to study the risk protection against distributed photovoltaic aggregation attacks and potential network anomaly attacks. Numerous distributed photovoltaic branches, circular operation, and flexible load fluctuation characteristics are important factors affecting the stable operation of traditional distribution networks and suffering from abnormal network attacks. This paper presents a mathematical model for distributed photovoltaic aggregation attacks, aiming at minimizing load fluctuations and transmission line power fluctuations in distributed photovoltaic network systems, to achieve detection of distributed photovoltaic aggregation attacks and related control and protection methods.

This paper describes a prototype of a novel Permanent Magnetic Elastomer (PME) sheet based skin sensor for robotic applications. Its working principle is to use a Hall effect transducer to measure the change of magnetic field. PME is a polymer that has Neodymium particles distributed inside it, after strong magnetization for anisotropy, the PME acquires strong remanent magnetization that can be comparable to that of a permanent magnet, in this work, we made improvement of the strength of the magnetic field of PME, so it achieved magnetic strength as high as 25 mT when there is no deformation. When external forces apply on the sensor, the deformation of PME causes a change in the magnetic field due to the change in the alignment of the magnetic particles. Compared with other soft magnetic sensors that employ similar technology, we implemented linear regression method to simplify the calibration, so we focus on the point right above the magnetometer. An MLX90393 chip is installed at the bottom of the PME as the magnetometer. Experimental results show that it can measure forces from 0.01-10 N. Calibration is confirmed effective even for shear directions when the surface of PME is less than 15 x 15 mm.

As power consumption rises, it is essential to minimize line loss to maintain uninterrupted service to the end customer. Expansion of existing power plants has numerous environmental and economic hurdles, necessitating a careful analysis of local best options. As a result, several distributed Generation (DG) technologies have been integrated into the power system. This paper introduces Integrated Immune Moth Flame Evolutionary Programming (IIMFEP) as a new hybrid method for planning distributed generation in distribution systems. The IIMFEP determines the optimal sizing and placement of DG Type II that supplies reactive power under load variations to mitigate power loss in a system. Utilizing the ieee 69-Bus Radial Distribution systems (rdS), a comparison is made between the IIMFEP method and Moth Flame Optimization (MFO), Artificial Immune System (AIS) and Evolutionary Programming (EP). The IIMFEP outperformed the other three techniques, which managed to achieve the lowest total system power loss. As the system’s real and reactive loads increase, so does the system’s overall power loss. Therefore, DGs must inject more reactive power to compensate for the power loss. The research findings indicate that the proposed IIMFEP reduces system power losses more effectively. The proposed IIMFEP is, therefore, a viable alternative solution addressing optimal DG difficulties in rdS. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2024.

With the establishment and development of integrated monitoring platforms and communication information platforms for intelligent substations, the data volume of the power system is showing explosive growth. However, existing data centers have poor processing capabilities for massive amounts of data, making it difficult to meet the multiple service quality requirements of users. How to effectively manage massive and complex data, fully utilize the value of data, improve service quality, reduce operational costs, and achieve rapid response to users is an urgent problem to be solved. Therefore, based on the actual needs of power enterprises, this article proposed a cloud computing power data middleware architecture based on distributed technology, which effectively managed, cleaned, converted, and evaluated power data sources through cloud computing platforms. This article mainly analyzed the shortcomings of traditional power data processing platforms and the feasibility of cloud computing based power data platforms. Finally, through load balancing bias comparison and pressure testing experiments under different task numbers, it was proven that cloud computing systems outperformed traditional power data processing systems in terms of utility value, completion time, and load balancing. Moreover, in the pressure testing experiment, under the condition of 10 concurrent users and 673 system request transactions, 91.3% of the interface response time in the cloud computing system was within 50ms. Therefore, cloud computing systems have certain advantages in processing power data.

Despite our commitment and endeavors, vehicle accidents remain one of the biggest causes of death, disability, and hospitalization in the country. India is top among all 199 nations in terms of traffic-related deaths, accounting for over 11% of all accident-related deaths worldwide. Road Accidents also constitute over 13% of the total deaths in India in the past year. The major cause for deaths is the time it takes for informing about the accidents to ambulance, hospitals and to police. On the other hand, finding the location of the accident is a big challenge for ambulances and police, causing many deaths. In the Accident Detection System, the accident is detected automatically by the use of different sensors and it is informed to the ambulance and various other services through a Mobile Application along with the accident's GPS Location. The system is thus useful as a quick response to the accidents and may considerably reduce the death rates. © 2022 ieee.

Presence of Primary Users is one of the critical roadblocks for successful operation among SU network. Increasing primary users' activity in the available spectrum band, enhances the chances of interference and spectrum unavailability for Secondary Users (SU) communication. All the existing techniques consider the fact that, at a time, only single Primary User (PU) is using the license spectrum band. But this assumption is not correct for real-time scenarios, as there can be multiple PUs operating simultaneously, further degrading the SU performance. Hence, all the interference calculation, channel switching and spectrum access design related models considering single PU operation, do not make practical sense for real time deployment of cognitive radio sensor network. Therefore, the concept of multiple PU operation (CogRPU) has been proposed by considering the real time field deployment scenario. Furthermore, a suitable cross layer design is developed in order to overcome the CogRPU problem and it showed a considerable performance improvement between without cross layer and with cross layer techniques. © 2022 ieee.

The primary goal of this study is to aid blind people who do not require human assistance. People who cannot see the world have difficulty perceiving the obstacles in front of them, putting their lives in jeopardy. Using an intelligent and multipurpose bright blind stick will allow them to recognize their environment. In this study, we presented a low-cost, innovative, and versatile stick for blind individuals in our community adopting IoT to better their lives. A person can walk more confidently with the help of this brilliant blind stick. This stick can identify impediments in the route of blind people thanks to an Arduino UNO, ultrasonic sensor, IR sensor, water sensor, GPS and GSM modules, four-channel wireless remote control, and Buzzer. This stick identifies any object or barrier in front of the user, such as water, holes, stairs, or cars, and if any are detected, the system will inform the blind person via a buzzer. Our system's processing unit, the Arduino UNO, processes all input and delivers outputs. The walking stick has an ultrasonic sensor and an infrared sensor to identify obstructions in front of blind or disabled people. The water sensor can detect the presence of water and emit an alarm to inform people who are blind. Friends and family members of blind people may easily monitor them using our technology, and blind people can also use GPS and GSM to locate the stick by pressing a button on the remote, which will cause the Buzzer to ring continuously for 5 seconds, indicating its location. We also researched and compared various current systems in this study, which led us to build a cost-effective, quick-responding, portable, intelligent, and bright multipurpose stick for blind persons utilizing IoT. © 2022 ieee.
