Underwater Optical Wireless sensor Network (UOWSN) is a promising technology as it can achieve high-speed communication in underwater environment. However, affected by the uncertainty of complex underwater environment, the network topology of UOWSN is highly dynamic, making it difficult to quantify flexibility or further optimize the topological structure. In this paper, we propose a flexibility-based network topology evaluation model (FEM) for UOWSNs. Then, a reinforcement learning model, termed FEM-DRL, for optimizing the network topology based on FEM is developed, which enables UOWSN to maintain an optimal topology when working in harsh underwater environments. Simulation results demonstrate that the proposed method can significantly improve the network flexibility and reduces the time cost for constructing network topology by 41.8% compared with baseline algorithms. Test-bed experiments verify the applicability and effectiveness in practical applications for detecting emergent events.

This digital revolution is imprinted by modern and advanced technology that takes advantage of Big Data and Artificial Intelligence (AI) to nurture from automatic learning systems, smart city, smart energy, smart factory to the edge computing technology, and so on. To harness an appealing, noteworthy, and leading development in smart manufacturing industry, the modern industrial sciences and technologies such as Big Data, Artificial Intelligence, Internet of things, and Edge computing have to be integrated cooperatively. Accordingly, a suggestion on the integration is presented in this paper. This proposed paper describes the design and implementation of big data platform for intelligence industrial internet of things sensor monitoring system and conveys a prediction of any upcoming errors beforehand. The architecture design is based on edge computing and artificial intelligence. Rapid inclusion of distributed energy resources (DERs) has led to the need for a reliable energy management system (EMS) capable of managing these resources effectively at a large scale. This paper proposes a novel hierarchical distributed consensus-based approach for solving the economic dispatch problem in networked microgrids (NMGs). The proposed approach arranges the network in hierarchical structure, thereby reducing the communication requirement between the distributed controllers. Simulation results are presented to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed approach. The simulation involves comparing the proposed approach with distributed consensus approach for different network topologies.
