Wireless sensor network is deployed in an unreachable place for humans. There are significant problems in WSN to transfer data from source node to destination node. Reliable data transfer is one of the most important aspects. Nodes that having low energy signal while transmitting the data to the neighbor node and if it does not reach the destination because of low energy then these nodes will consider as faulty nodes. There is a need for protocol or algorithm which can help to solve faulty node issues and provides high reliability. End to End reliability is essential to recognize the reliable,effective shortest path from source to destination nodes. Since nodes will not recognize the shortest paths time taken is more to transfer data from source node to destination node. The proposed research work utilizes Ant Colony Optimization(ACO) to check and identify the shortest path. The Shortest path will be identified by sending dummy data by using ACO. It will also help to check the effect of failed link and how it retrieves when there is a failure of link. With the help of ACO Fault tolerance can also be presented. With the help of this process data loss can be reduced and provide reliable transfer of data packets. To improve the lifetime of the network and to avoid data loss whole data will be converted into multiple packets. The parameters in the proposed work are transmission rate,data loss efficiency,energy level. © 2022 ieee.

This paper presents an AUV with AI (artificial intelligence), which is able to perform real-time optical vision-based diver-following and forward looking altimeter-based obstacle avoidance. The AI AUV is equipped with thrusters and a standard navigation-related sensor suite. A diver detection convolutional neural network, a suite of motion controllers, and a diver detection payload device are developed to enable diver-following functionality of the AUV. An obstacle avoidance algorithm based on forward looking altimeters is developed to enhance the waypoint navigation security of the AUV with obstacle avoidance functionality. The diver-following and the obstacle avoidance capabilities of the Taiwan Moonshot AUV under different scenarios are evaluated through hardware-in-the-loop simulations. In addition, the designated single diver following capability of the Taiwan Moonshot AUV is also verified through closed water experiments conducted in a towing tank.

Natural disasters are a growing issue these days. Vehicle, rail, and truck air pollution can cause respiratory diseases and asthma episodes. Transportation accounts for more than half of all carbon monoxide emissions in the atmosphere. Currently, when the RTO office issues the wellness certification, the vehicle's emissions are validated using pollution control stations located in particular urban areas. The health declarations for private autos are valid for a long time and must be updated at regular intervals after that. In the case of transportation vehicles, the health certification is granted for a long time and then expanded every year. We cannot distinguish outflows caused by this interaction since we presume the vehicle is static until FC. This project will be able to monitor and warn about air pollution on city streets by linking the Global System of Mobile Communications Network to the cloud, as well as track automobiles that emit discharges above a set edge. This also focuses on avoiding accidents caused by carbon monoxide gas produced by vehicles by installing a Gas sensor. © 2022 ieee.

This paper presents a decentralized district energy management platform leveraging permissioned Blockchain, Smart Contracts, IoT, and Cloud computing. This platform facilitates digitizing assets and data in a decentralized energy ecosystem in a trusted manner without a central point of authority, enabling the implementation of distributed applications to create new value-added services. As part of the distributed application design, this paper investigates Blockchain integration and trust aspects. Different Blockchain configurations are deployed and analyzed under real-world operating conditions, using a Blockchain network based on the Hyperledger Fabric framework. Our analysis shows that the platform can handle up to 150 transactions per second with a 0.5 second latency under the baseline configurations provided. The paper further investigates strategies to improve scalability to meet future application requirements.

The study looks at a hybrid control approach for an islanded solar low voltage photovoltaic-based dc microgrid, with the goal of overcoming the limitations of both centralized and distributed control schemes. A Photo Volatile system with battery storage is used on bus 1, battery storage with supercapacitor is used on bus 2, and variable loads like automobile applications are used on bus 3. The suggested hybrid control approach is capable of effortlessly transitioning between high and low bandwidth communication to construct a distributed control system in the event of a central failure. The central supervisory control system is in responsible of adjusting grid settings as well as sending and receiving data to and from local node controllers, that govern bus voltage and energy management. The study demonstrates how system transients are absorbed using battery and supercapacitor devices during load changes. The simulation depicts the continuous flow of information and decision-making processes via each level of control while taking subsystem restrictions into consideration. © 2021 ieee.

Understanding and managing climate change at the city scale requires collecting environmental data with a temporal and spatial resolution that is not typically available to research institution. As a contribution towards filling this gap, we present the general architecture of an internet-of-things (IoT) sensor network for environmental research at the city scale. We describe in detail the software and hardware design of the IoT measurement devices, which are built from inexpensive, off-the-shelf sensors and components. A prototype version of the network is currently under test at the New York University Abu Dhabi campus. We show some encouraging preliminary data and discuss future enhancements. © IET conference Proceedings 2022.

Online partial discharge (PD) monitoring system for high voltage power cable lines is different from that for other power equipment like GIS or transformer. For cable lines, the PD can be detected at cable joint and termination. Since the PD signal must decay when it propagates along the cable, distributed PD detection can increase the detection sensitivity. PD sensors and local signal processing units must be installed at each cable joint and termination, spreading over the whole cable line of several kilometers or more than ten kilometers. Therefore, all detected signals from each sensor point must be collected to the centric signal processing stage for displaying, analysis, judgment, and alarming via fiber network or wireless communication. The PD online system to operate effectively and reliability for years also required some necessary automatic-measurement functions such as auto-change of different noise filters, synchronous PRPD pattern comparison, PD identification, PD localization, and periodic system self-checking. This paper gives an example to illustrate the practical application of online PD monitoring technology for a large-scale online PD monitoring system installed on a pair of 16km-500kV XLPE cable transmission lines. © 2021 ieee.

Global state determination of distributed systems gives information that is useful in applications of checkpointing, distributed garbage collection, deadlock detection, distributed algorithm termination detection, event boundary detection, distributed debugging, etc. Determination of the global state in a wireless sensor network needs a different approach than of traditional distributed networks due to unique properties of WSN like a constraint on resources, energy constraints, remote hazardous environments where sensors are deployed, network topology that is dynamic in nature, etc. In this paper, we propose a distributed snapshot algorithm that is scalable, robust, and provides efficient communication among WSN nodes which is based on tree architecture. We designed an algorithm in such a way that it can easily be scaled to any number of nodes without affecting the performance of the underlying system and it can effectively handle packet loss so that the communication cost of the whole system is maintained as minimal. We performed simulations in OMNET++ and did the analysis of results based on the number of messages exchanged, response time, and performance in packet loss situations.
