With a large number of distributed Generation (DG) connected to the distribution network, the distribution network can be reconstructed and isolated island partition for self-healing. In this paper, the two-layer configuration DG operation-planning joint optimization model for improving self-healing ability of distribution network is established to achieve economy and self-healing ability of the system. ieee 33-node system is used to verify the proposed model. The results show that the two-layer model can effectively coordinate the economy and self-healing ability of distribution network through interactive decision-making of DG allocation scheme.

Multidimensional parallel training has been widely applied to train large-scale deep learning models like GPT-3. The efficiency of parameter communication among training devices/processes is often the performance bottleneck of large model training. Analysis of parameter communication mode and traffic has important reference significance for the research of interconnection network design and computing task scheduling to improve the training performance. In this paper, we analyze the parametric communication modes in typical 3D parallel training (data parallelism, pipeline parallelism, and tensor parallelism), and model the traffic in different communication modes. Finally, taking GPT-3 as an example, we present the communication in its 3D parallel training.

Power system strength assessment in Inverter-Based Resource (IBR) dominated power systems has recently gained close attention. The development of fast power system strength assessment methodologies is vital in power system planning and operation with IBRs. Connecting IBRs to grids is a challenge as the characteristics of IBRs are different to that of synchronous generators. To assess power system strength, various system dependent metrics have been defined in the literature. This paper presents challenges in power system strength assessment with IBRs along with case studies in the literature. In the global power industry, there is a requirement for developing a new power system strength assessment framework. Since the research on this area is growing rapidly, it is expected that many advancements will be available in near future.

This paper proposes the modified methodology for the Whale Optimization Algorithm (WOA) which improves the first procedure known as Modified WOA algorithm. The modification is established by introducing some correction factors as CFl, CF2 to the original WOA algorithm. In the subsequent stage, the real application of the proposed approach in this field is finished by structuring an AFPID controller for frequency regulation of a distributed energy power generation system DEPS. The DEPS incorporates renewable sources like photovoltaic, wind and storage gadgets. It is seen that MWOA based AFPID controller is increasingly compelling for the frequency control. © 2021 ieee.

This research article provides a computational study of light interaction with two dimensional photonic crystal (PhC) structure. This PhC structure is used to measure ethanol percentage in liquid water by identifying and computing mid gap wavelength shift. Analysis of the Maxwell's equations that govern the photon behaviour in the periodic structure is discussed in detail for PhC structures. The photonic band gap (PBG) which prohibits the photon momentum in certain directions in the crystal is computed using plane wave expansion (PWE) method by deriving solutions to the eigenvalue equation. A two dimensional (2D) PhC structure is designed by taking 18 × 17 number of holes on a dielectric slab. This holes on the dielectric configuration is used to sense the ethanol level in liquid water. The PBG width for the design in transverse electric mode is [ωa/2πc] ranging from 0.3841 to 0.4428. The band gap size Δλ 480 nm and mid gap wavelength λ c = 2391.2 nm is achieved from the structure. The sensor achieves a sensitivity of 10645.24 nm/RIU and a transmission ratio more than 94%. This structure is a suitable candidate for ethanol sensing applications as it offers a wide bandgap for light propagation.

We present, in the form of a proof of concept, a permissioned blockhain framework that attains accountability within a system containing embedded devices. Accountability is a desirable property of distributed systems that enables the detection, identification, and removal of faulty or malicious behavior. It is a complementary approach to Byzantine fault tolerance, which is concerned with ensuring continued functioning of the system in the presence of Byzantine faults. Our proof of concept consists of a Raspberry Pi acting as a human interface;the blockchain is implemented in Hyperledger Fabric and the Raspberry Pi runs a lightweight blockchain client to minimize computational burden. The application shows that we are able to use smart contracts to detect and identify faulty or malicious hardware, and the permissioning framework to remove it.

Wireless sensor network (WSN) attacks seek to disrupt or eliminate the network's ability to execute its expected duties. Penetration testing is a wireless sensor network defence that detects unknown threats. Because of the significant advancement in computer based products and widespread Internet utilization, it is critical to guarantee hosting and information systems. A hacking technique has been proposed to breach computer security with infiltration. An intrusion detection system (IDS) identifies network breaches with machine learning (ML) methods. Classic ML methods based feature extraction frequently resulted in low efficiency and misreading incursions. To address these challenges, this research provides a novel architecture for IDS that may be facilitated by the filter-based learning methodL The anticipated model performance is comparable to ML techniques. The appropriate solution was built and evaluated using network security laboratories - discovering dataset information (NSL-ICDD). The experimental data reveal that the suggested model filter-based learning detects assaults with more accuracy (i.e., 99 percent) than LDA, CART, and other current approaches. © 2022 ieee.

The connection between distributed Integrated Energy systems (DIES) and Distribution Network (DN) have a profound impact on their reliability of energy supply. To accurately calculate the reliability of DN while considering the integration influence of DIES, an index system and calculation approach for the reliability evaluation of DN with DIES are proposed in this paper. Firstly, the DIES-DN united system model and its optimal load-shedding model is formulated. Secondly, the reliability evaluation index system for DN with DIES is designed, and the calculation approach for these indexes is proposed based on sequential Monte Carlo simulation. Finally, taking the modified ieee RBTS-BUS6 system as an instance, the effectiveness of the proposed method is proved by case study in different system operation scenarios.

influence of environmental problems and resource exhaustion problems, the method of applying distributed generation in power systems is gradually being widely used. However, in large-scale interconnected power systems, low-frequency vibrations caused by mechanical vibrations of power devices and disturbances in a certain system will affect other modules connected in the same system, thereby affecting the stability of the entire power system. In order to eliminate this kind of inter-regional influence, maintain the stability of the power system. This paper attempts to design a control method based on VSG. VSG is often used in power systems where there are distributed power sources such as solar power generation for renewable energy generation. Because this kind of distributed power source does not have the same inertia as the synchronous generator, so when the system is disturbed, the overall stability of the system will deteriorate, and the VSG has the ability to track the maximum power point, which can make this type of distributed generation have the same inertia as the synchronous generator. When the stability of the small system changes, the overall system can still remain stable. This article will focus on the effect of the VSG on the transient stability of the large-scale system. Through the establishment of a simulation model, and verify that the whole system can keep stable due to the function of VSG when fault or disturbances occur in the system. © 2021 ieee.

Wireless sensor networks (WSNs), a distributed and infrastructure-free network, have expanded the horizons of the Internet of things (IoT) and machine-to-machine (M2M) communication systems. The rising demands with energy efficiency have been motivation for research on more efficient routing solutions. LEACH being most effective, but with less attention towards dynamics of topology and QOS requirements, has limited its ace. This paper proposes a network adaptive multi-mode LEACH protocol (M2M-LEACH) to meet QoS and energy efficiency requirements of IoT/M2M communication system. It performs a network adaptive grid partitioning, accommodating three different transmission modes—node to gateway (CNG), node to base station (CN-BS) and node to the cluster head (CH) and CH to base station (BS) while considering residual energy and inter-node distance for CH selection. Thus, the strategic implementation of the aforementioned multimode transmission with multi-parameter adaptive CH selection enabled timely and reliable transmission over large-scale dense WSN. The MATLAB-based simulation showed that the proposed M2M-LEACH protocol achieves better energy efficiency, throughput and network lifetime. It has also proven to achieve node alive rate then classical LEACH and its improved variants, resulting its suitability towards QOS and energy-efficient IoT/M2M communication systems. © 2022, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.
