This paper proposes an optimization method to reduce the high-power consumption issue of cameras within transmission line fire early warning systems. It suggests setting the default mode of the system's cameras to a low-power sleep state, which can be activated by a mechanism triggered by early signs of fire detected by smoke sensors. Thus, cameras are only powered on when necessary, significantly reducing energy consumption. Through numerical simulations and analyses of transmission lines, the smoke spread characteristics during a fire were examined to determine the wake-up threshold for the cameras. This approach reduces the system's operational power consumption while maintaining effective fire detection and early warning capabilities.

This article presents an energy-efficient dynamic CMOS comparator. By incorporating two additional NMOS transistors into the conventional Strong ARM (SA) structure, this design significantly reduces energy consumption as the differential voltage increases. Furthermore, it markedly improves key technical parameters such as precision, offset, and noise. Manufactured using a 180 nm CMOS process, the proposed comparator achieves 84 µV input-referred noise while consuming only 4.683-nW per comparison under a 1.2-V supply. This results in a figure of merit (FoM) of 0.033 nJ.µV2, representing a 53.36% reduction in power consumption compared to the conventional SA latch. These improvements are essential for energy-sensitive applications, enhancing system performance and minimizing power usage.

Social media platforms mainly provide personalized recommendation services for users, and usually adopt recommendation methods related to user or project similarity based on the characteristics of different platforms. However, current recommendation techniques mostly rely on simple similarity calculations, which can significantly reduce accuracy when dealing with large amounts of data. To address this issue, this paper proposes a collaborative filtering recommendation method based on social media gene maps. Specifically, this article draws on the concept of genes in biology, collects social media user behavior data, extracts biological genes, social genes, and network gene fragments, calculates the core gene matching degree of each gene fragment, and uses entropy weight method to assign different weights to gene fragments, thereby constructing a complete social media gene map and optimizing the recommendation mechanism. The experimental results show that this method outperforms traditional recommendation algorithms in terms of recommendation performance. Subsequently, this article proposes to combine social media gene maps with project similarity to further improve recommendation algorithms. When measuring project similarity, a fusion of scoring similarity and semantic similarity was used, combined with user gene matching degree, to optimize the weighted Slope One algorithm and achieve more accurate recommendation services. The results indicate that the algorithm proposed in this paper has significantly improved in evaluation metrics such as MAE and MRSE. © 2025 ieee.

Aiming at the single-phase grounding fault location problem of neutral point ungrounded distribution network system with distributed generators, a single-ended impedance method fault location method based on zero-sequence current is proposed. Firstly, the circuit voltage equation is written based on the line impedance parameters and the collected bus voltage, line bus current, end loads current and the distributed generator outlet current data, as well as the fault current series circuit voltage equation constructed by the zero-sequence component of the post-fault loads current, the zero-sequence component of the capacitor current to the ground and the zero-sequence component of the current at the head of the line. Secondly, the fault distance is given as a variable for the fault location equation of each line segment in turn, and finally the fault distance is obtained by solving the equation. In the process of fault location calculation, the problem of line-to-ground capacitor current compensation is considered, and the node voltage is used to calculate the capacitor current, the node voltage between the fault location and the bus end is calculated by the electrical quantity at the bus end, and the node voltage between the fault location and the end is calculated by the forward pushback generation method. An improved ieee 34-node model with distributed power source and loads is constructed by PSCAD/EMTDC and the fault location simulation is verified, and the results show that the fault location of the distribution network with distributed generators and loads can be accurately located by the method proposed in this paper.

This article presents an efficient downlink zeroforcing (ZF) precoding technique that utilizes the twoDimensional Direction of Arrival (2D-DOA) beam-spaced method to maximize the energy efficiency of multi-cell massive- MIMO systems. The approach for estimating the critical elevation and azimuth angles of detected signals from distributed sources in multi-cell massive-MIMO systems is also detailed. A mathematical model for energy efficiency of downlink ZF precoding is developed using these critical angles, and its performance is evaluated and compared to conventional 2D-DOA methods. Simulation results demonstrate that the proposed method significantly improves energy efficiency with a gain of approximately 98.3% compared to the deterministic ZF precoding method.

This paper presents the design of a low noise signal amplifier (LNA) with active filtering using operational amplifier suitable for sensor applications. Since the sensor output is a small signal of low amplitude comparable to that of noise signal, an efficient amplifier capable of reducing the noise interaction is required. Here three different types of op-amps based on BJT, FET and CMOS circuits are used in the design of LNA and a comparative study is performed. The amplifier circuit is designed in LTSpice XVII and three types of simulation are carried out to access the performance of the amplifier. First the transient response is performed to ensure the linearity in amplification. Then, the AC analysis is carried out that resulted in a gain of 47 dB in all amplifiers and bandwidth of 3.65 kHz, 39.26 kHz and 69.03 kHz are resulted in BJT, FET and CMOS based op-amp circuits respectively. Finally the noise analysis is executed that resulted in a noise voltage density of $17\ \mu\mathrm{V}/\surd{}\text{Hz}$ (1 Hz-10 kHz), $9\ \mu\mathrm{V}/\surd{}\text{Hz}$ (1 Hz-100 kHz) and $5.5\ \mu\mathrm{V}/\surd{}\text{Hz}$ (1Hz-10 MHz) respectively in the BJT, FET and CMOS based LNA circuits. The simulation results clearly prove that the proposed LNA could be used for sensor signal amplification at different frequencies ranging from 1Hz to 10 MHz. © 2021 ieee.

Drowsiness during driving includes high risks for the driver, the co-passengers, and the other people on the road. Advance Driver Assistance systems (ADAS) have been proposed to reduce these risks. This work introduces a new Internet of Things (IoT) seizure detection system to improve driver safety using Raspberry Pi, which is equipped with various sensors and utilizes machine learning for real-time monitoring and analysis. Using sensor fusion technology, including monitoring yawning and eye-closing patterns, the system aims to detect early signs of driver sleepiness. Being a low-cost, versatile, and tiny device, it becomes an ideal core processor for integration into an in-car environment. Additionally, the simplicity enables seamless communication with various sensors and facilitates effective data collection. Extensive tests and simulations were conducted to evaluate the effectiveness and reliability of the proposed system for real-world driving situations. The result outcomes prove the system's accuracy and efficiency in detecting early signs of driver fatigue to enhance driver safety. The integration of Raspberry Pi and sensor fusion technology makes it economical as well as scalable approaches supporting multiple platforms.

Security/resilience is one of the four overarching aspects of 6G requirements. To enhance resilience, one potential technology that can be integrated into the network is blockchain. By leveraging synchronized and distributed peers participating in the blockchain network, blockchain technology mitigates single points of failure and provides enhanced resilience. To demonstrate the potential application of blockchain in 6G networks, we analyzed the SUCI(Subscription Concealed Identifier) replay attack reported by the 3GPP(3rd Generation Partnership Project) and proposed a blockchain-based solution to address this issue. Using an open-source 5G project, we implemented and tested the feasibility of integrating blockchain into the network, showcasing its potential to enhance security and resilience in next-generation communication systems.

The visualized information is a critical issue of information systems, especially, instant and emergent information generated from mass devices with environmental sensing sensors distributed in living, home, factory, metropolitan, and so on. There is critical and instant information not only to be stored in the database but also visualized. Thus, the traditional techniques of information systems collect, store, summarise, and report but failed to reflect the urgency. Therefore, we try to integrate the Internet of Things and message queue telemetry transport (MQTT) to develop and implement a prototype device embedded in a tiny system to achieve instant and visualized information encapsulated in a box or shell and to support requested users with the independent and isolated device only. Thus, the devices are entitled as distributed visualized information device (DVID) that solves the instant visualized issues of the specialized information from a cloud platform, connect sensor devices, or any information system. This study uses the ESP32 microcontroller unit as a centurial-processor to integrate the dot matrix display for a large size display and a thin-film-transistor liquid-crystal display (TFT LCD) as a portable display to demonstrate the feasibility and usability of research goals. The devices connect to the cloud platform, subscribe to the MQTT Broker, and collect data to visualize the information without extra sub-system supports of the information systems to work independently. © 2021 ECBIOS 2021. In the era of Internet of thing (IoT), data is massively generated by the distributed sensors. Federated learning (FL) has emerged as a privacy-preserving and secure DL framework to incorporate knowledge from data stored in different locations and train a DL model on the combined data without revealing the local data to a centralized server. This approach is limited by several challenges including the computation and communication cost. In this paper, we propose a novel FL framework that reduces the computation and communication cost through model pruning. It also, considers the device and data heterogeneity in IoT devices. This paper considers the problem of how to stochastically measure a large and complex information field (i.e., the criticality of parameters in local DL models based on local datasets) with optimally few observations. We adopt sparsity-promoting transform domain regularization and integrate compressive sensing with Bayesian learning to improve the measurement accuracy of criticality values in large-scale information fields while minimizing the overall computational efforts and time. The proposed approach is evaluated on two model architectures and two datasets. We demonstrate that our FL framework effectively addresses the heterogeneity present in local devices while surpassing the performance of state-of-the-art FL approaches, both with IID (independent and identically distributed) and non-IID (non-independent and identically distributed) data distributions.
