Security and privacy are the primary concerns for IoT devices but because of their inherent limitation both in terms of processing and energy, IoT devices cannot be deployed at their full scale. To alleviate such security and privacy issues, the interaction of blockchain with IoT systems has acquired significant attention these days because blockchain has presented an underlying mechanism of immutability, audibility, and transparency for data storage. However due to the intrinsic nature of a blockchain containing complex mathematical proof concepts such as Merkle Hash Tree and Proof of Work (PoW) which demands high computation power making it less viable for IoT devices to be connected with. To overcome these issues, a novel scheme is proposed in this paper, which deploys private by design based blockchain architecture for IoT devices using low complex consensus algorithm and low computation cryptographic mechanism which suits best for IoT devices to address the privacy concerns. Unlike the traditional blockchain network in which every node maintained a copy of the transaction, we have proposed a new architecture in which block validation and block generation logic has been modified so that a transaction will be limited to the trusted recipient only. The proposed scheme outperforms the contemporary approaches both in terms of throughput and latency as observed through simulation results as well as maintaining the privacy concerns which will encourage the actual implementation of IoT applications in the real world. Moreover, the evaluation analysis demonstrate that the approach has major potential in a trusted network computing system and provides a substantial secure environment for IoT users.

Node straggling is most impactful thing to improve the Quality of Service (QoS) in distributed as well as cloud environment. On the other hand, the reason for which node discharges are caused is complicated. The precedents work mainly focus on detecting Stragglers, optimizing the level of programming and analysis of the root cause. Without order to help users automate their services, these approaches cannot provide valuable information. We in proposed new approach, a general method that incorporates framework and characteristics of the system for the analysis of root cause for detection of stragglers in the big data system, which basically reduce the process execution time and generate job failure issues during execution. We proposed an framework for straggler node detection from distributed environment using machine learning algorithm based on large scale job performed log data. After execution of machine learning algorithm system will predict straggler nodes list and dynamically eliminate such nodes from execution list. Q-Learning based reinforcement learning algorithm initially proposed for execution and validate the system result in multi node environments.

Energy is compulsory for economic enlargement, enlightening the excellence of life and increasing opportunities for green power growth. Generation of power is possible through several sources and the chief sources covering the major generation are fossil fuels. With passing time the availability of fossil fuels is decreasing, though it is a key source of GHG emissions, generation of electricity is transferred toward green power like renewable energy sources. The applications of distributed generation (DG) models are rising in current smart grids and power devices. A significant issue with DG’s is their particular optimal area and dimension within the circulation system. The optimization problem is articulated and explained using the Optimal Power Flow (OPF) technique that studies all transmission restraints and power flow limits. In this paper involves the use of Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) in conjunction with Genetic Algorithms (GA) suggested for sizing and optimal placement of DG models to be able to decrease network blockage. The ieee 30-Bus system test program has been used to illustrate the potency of the recommended comparison with Artificial Neural Network (ANN). The proposed approach better optimized the cost, power loss and LMP due to its global and local forecast. © 2022, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

The present covid-19 pandemic necessitates the need for a cost effective and efficient remote health monitoring mechanisms for the collection, transmission, evaluation, and communication of patient health data from electronic devices since many find it difficult to go for regular medical checkup due to safety concerns. Therefore, we require a remote health monitoring system that can monitor different body parameters and transmit it to a health care provider in a remote location. This paper describes the design and development of a remote health monitoring system capable of measuring ECG, Heart rate and SpO2 using AD8232, MAX30100 or MAX30102 and transfer this information to physicians using IoT. The ESP32 module is used to establish the IoT connectivity and share the vital information to medical practitioners for real-time analysis through a smartphone or Tab. In the present work, Blynk IoT cloud platform is used to communicate with hardware and software. The size of the designed PCB board is less than 60mm x 60 mm, therefore the size and weight of the device are very small and able to attach on the patient's cloth or in the body with the help of a Velcro belt. This helps the patient to easily carry the device without any discomfort. © 2021 ieee.

The industries, communication systems, nuclear installations, hospitals, and etc are suffering from voltage degradation, due to increasing energy demand that cause insufficient operation in power systems. Because of the importance of distributed Generators (DGs) technically and economically, they are considered the most crucial solutions. This research work introduces a robust methodology based Political optimizer (PO) and Objective Function Approach (OFA) ensuring the global optimum of the critical integration of DGs in the distribution grid. The proposed PO technique proved its quality and precision to find out the allocation of DGs based on OFA to boost the voltage-profile and stability besides minifying the system costs and losses. The MATLAB package' is utilized to perform the numeral results. © 2021 ieee.

Understanding and managing climate change at the city scale requires collecting environmental data with a temporal and spatial resolution that is not typically available to research institution. As a contribution towards filling this gap, we present the general architecture of an internet-of-things (IoT) sensor network for environmental research at the city scale. We describe in detail the software and hardware design of the IoT measurement devices, which are built from inexpensive, off-the-shelf sensors and components. A prototype version of the network is currently under test at the New York University Abu Dhabi campus. We show some encouraging preliminary data and discuss future enhancements.

Indonesia already implements microgrids in small islands and very isolated areas. Usually, those microgrids use renewable energy power plants such as solar PV. This is also in line with the Indonesia Government's step to deploy more renewable energy in its power generation system to reduce Greenhouse Gasses Emissions. One of the several microgrids with solar PV plants already been implemented in Indonesia is Karampuang Island Microgrid. Currently, their electricity supply by four Solar PV microgrids which are separated and not connected yet. In this study, two schemes of Karampuang microgrid expansion are examined. The first scheme uses a single Solar PV power plant and a battery energy storage system (BESS). The size of the Solar PV plant and BESS is the total capacity of the current condition. The second scheme is the microgrid using four distributed solar PV power plants in their current location and capacity. The Solar PV connect among them to supply the island's load in one grid. The power quality of both microgrid schemes is examined. The power quality phenomena, i.e. total harmonic distortion and temporary overvoltage of both schemes, are examined by Matlab/Simulink software simulation. The THD and temporary overvoltage in distributed Solar PV microgrid is better than the single solar PV microgrid. © 2021 ieee.

Smart Lighting systems for Energy Efficiency via Internet of Things (IoT) and sensor Technologies A novel method of attaining energy efficiency is combining IoT with sensor technology. The emergence of the IOT given go up to intelligent lighting systems that can leverage sensors, data analytics, and connectivity means for energy optimization. Their purpose is to adjust lighting levels automatically regarding occupancy, daylight availability, and time of day to save significant amounts of power. The sensors are wireless;hence, they are battery-powered IoT devices that measure the ambient light level at the location where they were installed. It also measures movement in their range and temperature readings for an office or conference area, enabling smart lighting systems to adapt to local conditions while minimizing energy wastage. This mechanism of collecting real-time data and analyzing the same gives us insights on patterns or preferences in lighting usage thus can be customized for different type's timings. This increases the effective use of artificial lighting and ensures it takes advantage of natural light availability. In addition to this, these systems can also integrate with other smart building technologies like heating and cooling systems for a well-rounded approach to energy management. The lighting control from mobile devices enhances building owners' and managers' convenience and to manage their property features remotely. © 2025 ieee.

The pivot goal of estimation algorithms is to generate information with a quality higher than that of raw measurements available and to extract the information that can be obtained indirectly from the available measurements. To fulfill this aim, the measurements from multiple sensors are combined to get a more accurate and reliable estimate of the target. In this research work, measurements from five multiple sensors are combined to get different motion parameters of the desired target. The sub-optimal filter, Unscented Kalman filter is considered for the performance analysis of the algorithm. The simulation is carried in MATLAB software using the Monte-Carlo simulation method for better analysis of the results. © 2021 ieee.

In this paper, an 8-bit current-steering digital-to-analog converter for pressure sensor's analog linearization is proposed. The circuit adopts a 7bit-Sign segmented structure and is built on Cadence. The lower four bits are coded by binary, the higher three bits are coded by unary, and the sign bit is used to control the rise and fall of the steps to complete the function of the 8-bit DAC, which greatly reduces the layout area and improves the circuit accuracy. The circuit mainly includes a decoding circuit, unit current cells and switches, high-gain operational amplifier and sign bit circuit. Finally, the dynamic and static characteristics of this DAC are calculated, where differential nonlinearity(DNL) is 0 LSB, integral nonlinearity (INL) is less than 0.1 LSB and spurious-free dynamic range (SFDR) is 52dB. © 2021 ieee.
