With the development of distributed generation (DG), fault self-healing technology in active distribution network (ADN)has also become a focus of research. This article proposes a fault self-healing method based on hierarchical reinforcement learning (HRL). Firstly, by obtaining the topology, network parameters, and DG parameters of the ADN, a simulation model of the ADN is constructed. Subsequently, a reinforcement learning framework for real-time control of ADN was established, and the self-healing strategy for distribution network faults was modeled based on a hierarchical decision-making mechanism. Afterwards, a layered objective reward function is modeled to generate reward signals based on the operational status of the distribution network; Using HRL algorithm to train in a distribution network simulation environment, a fault self-healing strategy model is obtained. Finally, based on the actual fault line information and the fault self-healing strategy model, a distribution network fault self-healing strategy is generated to achieve self-healing of the ADN. The self-healing method is evaluated on the ieee 33-node system, which indicate its rationality and effectiveness fully verified.

As society gradually relies on technologies to prevent dangers and detect the environment, the processing of data transmission and analysis becomes important. In recent years, firefighters are sacrificed during rescue missions. Even with the high-tech equipment in the current era, the lives of firefighters are not prevented in the fire scene. Thus, this research designs and develops an alarm system for hospitals and schools. The Message Queuing Telemetry Transport (MQTT) technology and fire sensors are utilized and integrated to extract the conditions of the environment. In the system, the subscriber server collects the data on a personal computer. Also, the website and database server monitor the wards in a hospital. Current work in the field of smart contracts is primarily aimed at developers and directly connected to an underlying cryptocurrency. Those self-enforcing contracts are suitable for financial applications, but often disregard regular agreements that do not rely on digital money or are difficult to specify in the form of program code. In order to promote social interaction and self-organization for all types of users, we present Fides, a framework for creating contracts based on natural language that focuses on security and privacy. The use of natural language, detached from the actual payment process, allows everyone to create digital contracts inside a decentralized peer-to-peer network without relying on an inefficient Blockchain solution. These agreements are not only intended for interactions between humans, but can also be established between devices by automation.

Internet of Things (IoT) is an escalating trend in today's world, and has proved to be a game changer in the field of technology. More and more sensors and devices are being connected together to develop new systems to solve real world problems. With the increase in technology and automation, security has become a major concern. The first line of defense for any property is always a security system, which alerts the owners regarding intrusion in real time. Currently, there exist multiple security systems, which make use of various motion sensors to detect any motion and notify the owner about the intrusion. However, most of these systems do not provide the features of zone barriers, facial recognition, remote camera surveillance and power failure detection, combined with ease of use, economic viability and power efficiency. The main objective of the proposed architecture is to overcome all these problems by developing a smart security and surveillance system which makes use of multiple ultrasonic sensors to detect intrusion attempts on the property of the owner, in order to notify them of the presence of an unauthorized person. Also, the system provides a warning to the person who has intentionally or unintentionally entered the property, so that they can step back in time, without triggering any alarm. With the help of a remote camera surveillance feature, the owner can monitor the surroundings of their property remotely. This system will issue an alert to the owner in case of a power failure as well. This system provides face recognition as an authentication procedure, in order to allow the valid entrants to enter into their property. All these features combined, create a flexible and reliable security system, which can be used in various properties, such as homes, offices, museums and so on.

Robustly Coordinated distributed Voltage Control Through Residential Demand Response Under Multiple Uncertainties

This article proposes a multilevel coordinated voltage control (CVC) strategy for facilitating distributed residential demand response for network voltage optimization. The proposed CVC scheme coordinates multiple home energy management systems (HEMS) connected on a low-voltage radial distribution network through a sensitivity-based approach to minimize voltage deviations in multiple timescales owing to high photovoltaic (PV) penetrations and load variability. In order to mitigate the effects of uncertain PV output and load during actual system operation, a day-ahead two-stage robust optimization (TSRO) model has been developed, which optimizes network operation in the longer timescale, for worst-case realization of uncertainties in shorter timescales. This is sequentially followed by fully distributed hour-ahead CVC which is decomposed into network optimization and energy management subproblems through alternating direction method of multipliers. In order to counteract the effects of real-time uncertainties, local adjustments are performed by redispatching HEMS at individual households to locally adapt to unforeseen variations, thereby minimizing real-time voltage deviations. Extensive simulations are performed on the modified Dutch LV network. Simulation results demonstrate effectiveness of the proposed multilevel CVC approach to robustly handle uncertainties while ensuring reliable operation and maximum user-comfort.

As the construction of ultra-high-voltage direct current (UHVDC) transmission projects progresses, more regions are forming receiving-end power grids that integrate new energy sources and DC injection, significantly impacting the transient voltage stability of the power system. To investigate the effects of high proportions of distributed photovoltaic (PV) integration on the stability of the new power system, it is crucial to consider both DC injection and distributed PV integration in the analysis to understand the new characteristics of transient voltage at the receiving end of the grid. Initially, the study focuses on examining the new P-V characteristics of distributed PV systems interconnected with the distribution network at high penetration levels to evaluate the system's transient behavior. Subsequently, by integrating the dynamic characteristics of DC system reactive power after faults in the receiving-end AC system, and using the CIGRE standard test model, the analysis assesses the risks of DC commutation failure and transient voltage instability in the receiving-end AC system under varying distributed PV installation capacities. The results indicate that the strength of the DC receiving-end grid weakens as the PV station integration capacity increases, and under conditions where a three-phase fault occurs at the point of integration, consecutive commutation failures may potentially occur. Finally, leveraging actual data from the Tianzhong DC project in the Henan Power Grid, a receiving-end grid model incorporating the DC transmission system and distributed PV power sources is established. The study investigates the new characteristics of transient voltage at the receiving end of the grid under high proportions of distributed PV integration, confirming that the increasing installation capacity of distributed PV exacerbates the risk of transient voltage instability in the DC receiving-end grid.

With an excessively indulgent diet and irregular routine, diabetes has emerged as a pervasive and life-threatening chronic condition. Real-time monitoring of glucose levels and stringent glycemic control are imperative for the efficient prevention and management of this ailment. Organic electrochemical transistors (OECTs) have attracted significant attention owing to its mechanical flexibility and its property to operate effectively in aqueous environments. Herein, a wearable glucose sensor is developed via ionic solutions as well as for the enzyme-based detection performance. Taking inspiration from nature, we have innovatively designed a 3D porous stacked OECT to attain passive cooling and enhanced breathability, ensuring an improved and comfortable wearing experience. The device has proven successful in detecting glucose concentrations within artificial sweat, paving the way for the development of next-generation sensors.

The paper is on technological parameters data processing and analysis for further input signal significance estimation. In the paper the data retrieving from distributed control system software and hardware complex historical database is described and the algorithm of data formatting and processing is presented along with the examples. The problem of input signal impact on thermal power plant technical-and-economic indices is addressed in the research. The chosen data analysis tools are described and the plots and diagrams used to illustrate the data are presented. The novel parameter and group of parameters visualization approach is introduced. The possible ways of automating the database interaction and data analysis are proposed. © 2021 ieee.

Smart Farming with IOT and sensor Networks is an advanced technology that enables traditional farmers to reduce waste and introduce intelligence in measuring the productivity of crops. The papers show how deploying IOT and sensor networks has contributed to enhancing productivity, reducing costs, and sustainability through a few successful case studies spanning regions under development. IOT and sensor Networks for Agriculture: Low-cost sensors and communication devices with data analytics help collect and analyze real-time information from farms. Along with weather forecasts, soil analysis, and other useful insights, it helps farmers take technocratic actions, eventually allowing them to use their resources better. IOT and sensor networks are particularly useful in developing countries, where small-scale farmers often cannot access modern technologies and information. Farmers using IOT systems for drip irrigation can use their mobile phones to control watering remotely and thus increase water efficiency significantly, as was the case in India. Leveraging sensor networks to advance precision farming has successfully grown crops with higher yields and less fertilizer use in Africa. Using IOT and sensor networks in the application layer can significantly enhance food security, diminish ecological footprint, and foster sustainable agricultural practices, particularly in developing countries. The world has a later taste of the benefits that would eventuate in one dark-haired roommate becoming somewhat more bearded and less university student-like than ever before;there is still much research to come on this technology, which could change the face (not beard)of global agriculture - improving livelihoods for millions upon million small-scale farmers. © 2025 ieee.

Access to reliable and affordable energy is essential for the socio-economic development of rural areas. However, in remote communities, the absence of a dependable energy source poses a significant hurdle to progress. This study aims to address this challenge through the design and implementation of a cost-effective and sustainable microgrid system, tailored for providing reliable energy supply in rural and remote communities in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. The proposed microgrid relies on renewable energy sources, primarily solar power, and incorporates a wireless sensor network (WSN) to monitor and optimize its performance. The research methodology involves a comprehensive survey of the study area to discern the energy needs and preferences of the local community, alongside a feasibility study to assess the technical and economic viability of the proposed microgrid system. Drawing from the survey findings, the microgrid system was meticulously designed and executed. A wireless sensor network (WSN) was used to optimize the performance of the microgrid system. The study's outcomes underscore the viability and efficacy of the proposed microgrid system as a solution for delivering reliable energy to remote communities. Moreover, its replicability and scalability offer promise for similar implementations in other rural and remote regions, thereby advancing sustainable energy objectives and fostering socio-economic development in rural areas.
