When carrying out special services of rescue and firefighting in buildings, underground works, tunnels and mine, where has no GPS signal, it’s important to get location information of special staff, which used by guiding rescue, evacuation and force dispatch. In order to meet the above requirements, this system uses the inertial measurement unit constructed by 3-axis acceleration, 3-axis gyroscope and 3-axis geomagnetic sensor to complete the measurement of pedestrian motion information, calculate the personnel attitude through the cosine matrix, and use the extended Kalman filter the calculation of the speed and position of the personnel is carried out, and the zero speed detection is realized by the gyroscope to reduce the accumulated error of the calculation, thus realizing the key technology of inertial navigation. Using Zig Bee and WIFI modules, the development of portable wireless network nodes, to build a wireless self-organizing network. Using embedded microcontrollers and MEMS inertial sensors to build a wearable wireless navigation and positioning system. Using wireless ad hoc network, implement real-time online monitoring of the staff positions and movement trajectory. The wearable wireless navigation and positioning system can accurately obtain the position and movement trajectory of the rescue personnel. Using the wireless ad hoc network, the position and the trajectory information of the rescue personnel can be transmitted to the control center in real time to provide information for the disaster relief command and decision support service.

Cluster analysis is important in scientific and industrial fields. In this study, we proposed a novel chaotic biogeography-based optimization (CBBO) method, and applied it in centroid-based clustering methods. The results over three types of simulation data showed that this proposed CBBO method gave better performance than chaotic particle swarm optimization, genetic algorithm, firefly algorithm, and quantum-behaved particle swarm optimization. In all, our CBBO method is effective in centroid-based clustering.

A new sub-category of MANET is vehicular ad hoc network where vehicles communicate with each other. Because of constraint roads and very high speed of vehicles, routing is an issue in VANET. Most of the papers analyzed the performance of topology based routing protocols. This paper analyzed the performance of distance-effect routing algorithm for mobility (DREAM) and location aided routing (LAR) protocols for city and highway environment. Packet delivery ratio, throughput and delay metrics are considered for analysis of DREAM and LAR routing protocols using intelligent driver model (IDM) based VanetMobiSim and ns2 with ieee802.11p.

Financial Technology (Fin Tech) has become a pivotal subject in both academic and industry discourse over the past decade, with over 115,000 scholarly articles in the Web of Science (WoS) database and millions of news articles on platforms like Yahoo Finance. However, the majority of literature has examined only one aspect of these discussions, which hinders the progress and market entry of new Fin Tech innovations, thereby restricting the potential for technological advancement and industry transformation. This paper innovatively proposes a combined literature analysis from both academic and market perspectives. A bibliometric analysis of 3,255 academic articles on Fin Tech from the WoS database, covering the period from 2015 to 2024, was conducted. Additionally, Natural Language Processing (NLP) techniques, including keyword extraction and sentiment analysis, were utilized to explore the characteristics of 1,208 news articles on FinTech, sourced from Yahoo Finance from 2020 to 2024. A comprehensive model was developed to explore the characteristics of keywords and their involvement in both academic and market contexts. This approach has uncovered some key themes related to FinTech and provides a comprehensive overview of the connections between academia and the market. © 2024 ieee.

With the exponentially increased users of wireless communication, a large numbers of wireless networks coexists in 2400 MHz Industrial, Scientific and Medical (ISM) band. The ieee 802.15.4 Wireless Sensor Networks with their low power consumption and low cost advantages are widely adopted in low data rate industrial and consumer applications. The Wi-Fi, ieee 802.11b/g offers high data rate and larger range. Both these technologies co-exist in ISM Band. The Wi-Fi signals having high signal strength interfere with the weak signals of ieee 802.15.4, which degrades the throughput performance of ieee 802.15.4 Wireless sensor networks. It results in a coexistence with non-cooperation. The authors developed a Frame Converter System to establish co-operative coexistence between ieee 802.15.4 and ieee 802.11b/g networks. The frame converter is implemented at the Media Access Control Layer using ARM7 processor. It converts the frames of ieee 802.15.4 network to frames WiFi and WiFi to ieee 802.15.4.

A RRAM has been recently emerged because of its high potential for future semiconductor memory technologies in 4.0 era. This article demonstrates a 16 x 16 crossbar-structured organic RRAM array fabricated from a composite of Au nanoparticle and P3HT polymer matrix and an electrode layer made using a commercial ink-jet printer of Epson T60. Electrical measurements indicated that the memory device can be reversibly switched at a voltage pulse of -5/5 V for 1 mu s. The typical device exhibited highly reliable with the stable retention time characteristics with a large on/off current ratio of 2000 at 0.5 V. In addition, in order to demonstrate practical application of the organic RRAM device in data storage, an encoder system including a socket, readout circuit and a computer program was constructed. The difference in the resistance state of organic RRAM array can be sensed and converted to the binary values of "1" or "0" in ASCII table code thanks to the encoder system. The method described here can be contributed in the progress of study on the emerging memory for smart devices.

The importance of functional testing is to guarantee the quality of an Android application to enhance the user experience so as to be more secure and reliable under market pressure, forcing many companies to build high quality and high performance applications that can be released in a short time. Thus, the testing process should be automated to make sure that applications run quickly and effectively. There are several test automation frameworks available, specifically designed for Android applications which offer features and efficient performance to test applications more effectively, such as Espresso, Calabash and Appium. The purpose of this research is to find the best framework based on performance with certain parameters and sub-parameters. The authors ran function tests on each framework with several test cases and provisions from each framework in an Android-based application. Reports were generated from each of the frameworks to collect data in the form of test cases covered, time complexity, execution speed, and element inspection for automated testing progress parameters. These were compared with a matrix that defines tool usability parameters using The Distance to the Ideal Alternative method (DIA) with a weight for each parameter and sub-parameter. The results show that Calabash has the best performance among the other frameworks with a 0 value for the DIA Method that indicates that Calabash has zero distance to the ideal alternative. © 2018 ieee.

Competency-based training (CBT) is a specialized method for teaching programming languages, focusing on mastering new skills through time-based development. It emphasizes specialized skills in information and communication technologies (ICT), such as logic, syntax comprehension, debugging, and algorithm creation, rather than memorizing information. CBT provides a customized learning experience by integrating real-world problem-solving into the curriculum. AI-powered chatbots can track students' progress, target weaknesses, and offer immediate feedback. Benefits of CBT include increased skill competency, better retention rates, and improved student engagement. However, issues include the need for well-thought-out competence frameworks, resource-intensive implementation, and continuous evaluation of AI's contribution to education. In this sense, insights into best practices in applying CBT frameworks in computer science education are studied in this paper, as well as the integration of CBT with AI-powered chatbots in programming courses is proposed. ©2024 ieee.

Record linkage (RL) is becoming increasingly important for companies to integrate data silos and create a more qualitative information base for decision-making. Despite state-of-the-art research results in RL, these are not used in companies because the manual effort is high, and the necessary know-how is lacking. This research-in-progress paper aims to show how a generic RL process for company matching can be developed and how the manual effort can be reduced. For this purpose, our data-driven inductive research is based on insights of an extensive fundament of 18 company relevant data sources. In this research-in-progress paper, we implemented a first version of our generic RL process for company matching. This was applied in three experiments consisting of different data sources. The results show a Precision range of 0.88 to 0.98 and a Recall range of 0.9 - 0.99. These results are promising and show that the development of a generic RL process for company matching is possible. The generic RL process for company matching would majorly impact companies by making it more efficient to integrate new and previously unused data sources. © 2022 ieee.

Development of OpenEHR-based online Health Information System (HIS) is very important and necessary to be developed in Indonesia, in order to catch up with neighboring countries' neighboring Health Information System. Online HIS is beneficial for the enhancement of productivity, efficiency, service quality, proper standard of medical practice, auditable documentation, performance of hospital management and integrated medical record. With those reasons, Healthy Indonesia 2015 program can be achieved. Expert system and mapping HIS development which called ICD-10 is useful in order to give web-based standard symptom and disease diagnosing information. This expert system can diagnose disease based on the symptom with Anamnesis method. This application is named E-Expert in ICD10 which contains data parsing for patient medical record information web service. © 2018 ieee.
