Integrating solar photovoltaic panels with existing structures can emerge as a viable solution to the current energy crisis and reduction of carbon footprint. The goal of this research is to develop an energy-harvesting system using 3 software programs (PVSOL, PVsyst and SAM) designed for different installations that can help countries like Bangladesh meet their energy demand while reducing their carbon footprint and eschewing additional resources. Design, modeling and simulated of a mono-facial solar panel-based energy model for one of the longest bridges in Bangladesh, the Bangabandhu Bridge has been carried out with a computing manner in a sustainable way. A comprehensive energy analysis was carried out in order to acquire a better understanding of the effectiveness of the envisioned system. The resultant observations lead to the conclusion that this initiative has immense potential. The results show that the average energy yield is 2948512kWh per annum. This reliable energy can be utilized to light up the whole bridge and support the national grid during an energy crisis. © 2024 ieee.

Flexible resources such as renewable energy and electric vehicles are expanding. In order to efficiently utilize the energy from various types of prosumers, an energy sharing market mechanism between prosumer aggregator and charging stations is proposed. Based on the PJ-ADMM algorithm, the proposed mechanism is capable of parallel iterative computation to realize market clearing. We validate the effectiveness of the proposed mechanism through a case study. After participating in energy sharing, the social welfare is improved and the resources can be optimally allocated. © 2024 ieee.

With the establishment and development of integrated monitoring platforms and communication information platforms for intelligent substations, the data volume of the power system is showing explosive growth. However, existing data centers have poor processing capabilities for massive amounts of data, making it difficult to meet the multiple service quality requirements of users. How to effectively manage massive and complex data, fully utilize the value of data, improve service quality, reduce operational costs, and achieve rapid response to users is an urgent problem to be solved. Therefore, based on the actual needs of power enterprises, this article proposed a cloud computing power data middleware architecture based on distributed technology, which effectively managed, cleaned, converted, and evaluated power data sources through cloud computing platforms. This article mainly analyzed the shortcomings of traditional power data processing platforms and the feasibility of cloud computing based power data platforms. Finally, through load balancing bias comparison and pressure testing experiments under different task numbers, it was proven that cloud computing systems outperformed traditional power data processing systems in terms of utility value, completion time, and load balancing. Moreover, in the pressure testing experiment, under the condition of 10 concurrent users and 673 system request transactions, 91.3% of the interface response time in the cloud computing system was within 50ms. Therefore, cloud computing systems have certain advantages in processing power data. © 2023 ieee.

The integration of Doubly-Fed Induction Generators (DFIG) into electrical grids poses significant challenges due to the complex dynamics involved. This paper presents a novel approach to optimize the Proportional-Integral (PI) controller for DFIG grid integration by employing neural network-based tuning com-bined with Dense Plexus Terminals (DPT). The proposed method leverages the adaptive learning capabilities of neural networks to fine-tune the PI controller parameters in real-time, enhancing the system's responsiveness to dynamic grid conditions. Dense Plexus Terminals further improve the robustness and efficiency of the control strategy by facilitating enhanced signal processing and reducing computational load. Simulation results demonstrate that the optimized PI controller achieves superior performance in terms of stability, transient response, and power quality compared to conventional tuning methods. The findings suggest that the integration of neural tuning and Dense Plexus Terminals presents a promising direction for improving the control of DFIGs in modern power grids, ensuring reliable and efficient energy conversion under varying operational conditions. © 2024 ieee.

With the transformation of global energy structure and the rapid development of intelligent transportation system, the interaction between power grid and vehicle network has become a research hotspot. especially the popularization of electric vehicles (eVs) and the progress of smart grid technology play a key role in maintaining the stable operation of power grid, optimizing energy distribution and improving the reliability of power system. The purpose of this study is to deeply discuss the frequency control and optimization of auxiliary load in power grid under the background of diversified vehicle-network interaction, and put forward effective control strategies through analysis and research. The research methods include establishing a fusion model of power grid and vehicle network, proposing an auxiliary load control strategy based on vehicle battery and fleet scheduling, and using MATLAB/Simulink for simulation analysis. Through simulation analysis, the effectiveness of the proposed strategy is verified, including adjusting the charging and discharging behavior of eV to stabilize the power grid frequency, optimizing the dispatching plan of bus fleet to improve the power grid frequency stability and so on. It is of great theoretical and practical significance to study the frequency control and optimization of auxiliary load in power grid for diversified vehicle-network interaction. The strategies and methods put forward in this study not only help to improve the stability and efficiency of power grid, but also help to promote the further development of intelligent transportation system and contribute to the realization of energy saving, emission reduction and sustainable development goals.

estimating crowd density and counting people are essential for crowd control, urban planning, and public safety. This research study utilizes a Multi-Column Convolutional Neural Network (MC-CNN) as a crowd counting technique trained on crowd datasets. The MC-CNN predicts crowd density maps from input images, providing precise crowd density estimates. Additionally, post-processing methods like clustering analyze the spatial crowd distribution. The proposed system incorporates object detection algorithms to generate individual coordinates, aiding in crowd analysis through clustering and then classifying them into three categories i.e. sparse, medium, and dense. experimental findings showcase the method's efficacy in accurately estimating crowd densities and discerning crowd patterns. The proposed system provides valuable insights for crowd monitoring, resource allocation, and decision-making in densely populated areas. © 2024 ieee.

There are numerous difficulties concerning cyber security in the smart grid, and a majority of such challenges faced across devices connected to the grid are in the form of nefarious attacks with the potential aim to tamper with power supplied to any consumer and breach of data respective to PMU and IP camera sensor. So, the best way to prevent such cyber-attack problems is by using security measures such as Network Intrusion Prevention Systems (NIPS) and firewalls equipped with each distributed system integrated into the grid. Many different attacks and prevention methods have been adopted to maintain the grid almost vulnerable to cyber-attacks. Therefore, this work aims to present the component-level cyber-attack analysis of PMU and IP camera sensors when connected to an ieee 13-node system based on FDI and MitM attack scenarios. The study is simulated, and the results are obtained using gridAttackAnalyzer, a smart grid attack analysis framework. © 2023 ieee.

Distribution networks (DNs) has more and more distributed generations (DGs), and the influence between transmission and distribution networks (T&DNs) is becoming increasingly severe. Analysis of the transmission and distribution coordination networks (TDCNs) is imperative. The forward-backward-splitting (FBS) method has the best convergence performance in asynchronous methods for TDCNs' power flow (PF) currently, but FBS method has the defect of unreasonable convergence criteria leading to misjudgment. Therefore, this paper proposes the full coverage criterion-based (FCC) method, which achieves correct convergence judgment after full coverage of DNs' information. The simulation results demonstrate that the convergence criterion of the proposed method is more reasonable than the FBS method. © 2023 ieee.

This proposed work investigates the power transfer from a vehicle to grid (V2G) technology. A specified electric vehicle (eV), e.g., Tata Nexon eV - Prime is considered in which Lithium-Ion (Li-Ion) battery is used. The battery energy storage system (BeSS) of the same is studied from its charging and discharging characteristics. A dc-dc converter for boost operation is used to step-up the dc voltage to operate three-phase voltage source inverter (VSI) in synchronous reference frame (SRF), i.e., in dq-domain for injection of active power at grid frequency. An LCL filter is used for rejection of higher frequency components from inverter current to maintain less total harmonic distortion (THD) at lower voltage. A three-phase two-winding power transformer is required to provide isolation and maintained voltage level between grid and inverter. © 2024 ieee.

The reliable operation of distribution networks is crucial for societal stability, and fault location is a key technical challenge for ensuring their reliability. This paper proposes a fault location method for distribution networks based on Graph Neural Networks (GNN), which effectively extracts fault features by constructing a topological graph model and utilizing an improved Graph Convolutional Network. To address the issue of sample imbalance, a strategy adjusting the loss function is employed to enhance the model's performance. Simulation experiments demonstrate that the proposed method outperforms traditional approaches in fault detection and location and exhibits robustness against noise and data incompleteness. The research provides a new perspective for fault location in distribution networks and showcases the potential of GNN applications in power systems.
