Monitoring of patients and updates on their health status are important, especially in pandemic situations. Hospitalization in India is very costly for locals with average incomes because medical equipment is very costly and the population is also increasing, thus reducing the number of hospital beds. Moreover, hospitals in rural areas are mostly far from the locations where patients live. To overcome such challenges, this paper suggests an efficient and economical IoT-based system with sensors and a mobile application to monitor patients' health information from their location continuously. Doctors can also access real-time updates of patients' health through the mobile application. Utilizing improved machine learning processes for better accuracy and real-time response, the current research brings forth a new wearable IoT-integrated device targeted for stuttering monitoring and correction. The gadget combines different hardware and software elements, such as sensors, microcontrollers, and communication protocols, to accurately record the patient's health status. © 2025 ieee.

According to estimates by NCRB from 2019–2020, fires and a lack of timely and adequate fire protection result in around 20,366 deaths annually in India ( G. Litta, R. Di Rienzo, R. Morello, R. Roncella, F. Baronti, and R. Saletti, "Flexible platform with wireless interface for DC-motor remote control," in 2018 ieee International Conference on Industrial Electronics for Sustainable Energy systems (IESES), 2018, vol. 2018-Janua, pp. 509–514.). Due to the intense heat, firefighters frequently pass away while putting out the flames. Therefore, a technological solution will make it easier to prevent the loss of life from such dangerous activities. Here, we have created a robot to put out the fire utilizing AI-enabled Bluetooth-based automated techniques hosted in the Cloud in order to decrease these incidents. We can design a model-based solution for this specific issue thanks to the extensive advancements in Bluetooth technology, Web-Bluetooth APIs, and IR sensors. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2025.

The study of software product line addresses the issues of engineering software systems families, or collections of similar software systems. The objective of a software product line is to reduce the overall engineering effort required to produce a collection of similar systems by capitalizing on the commonality among the systems and by formally managing the variation among the systems. This is a classic software reuse problem (C. Krueger, 1992). The primary focus of software product line research has been on domain analysis and modeling, architecture modeling, software reuse repositories, generators, and process definition. In contrast, for engineering single systems, these technologies and techniques provide significant value, while for engineering software product lines the conventional wisdom suggests they are essential. We hypothesize, however, that domain analysis, architecture modeling, software reuse repositories, generators, and process definition are simply compensating for a void in the existing software engineering technology space and that this void can be filled by a more simple, powerful, and concise technology for engineering software product lines. This new technology then redefines the status of domain analysis and the other existing technologies so that they have the same status in software product line development that they do in single system development: valuable engineering technologies but not necessarily requisite. © 2000 ieee.

Our research aims at improving system level quality of a network by introducing a network engineering (NE) process framework. NE advocates a life cycle, process framework for network design, development, operations and maintenance, as a parallel to the software and systems engineering life cycle. NE was introduced with the spirit of improving the QoN, which is a related but orthogonal R&D area to the existing QoS R&D efforts. QoN is defined as the ability of an information technology (IT) system to meet user expectations by providing the intended functionality or desired information in a reliable, predictable and timely fashion. Our current research in NE has resulted in the development of the preliminary version of the Network Maturity Model (NMM) (http://***). The NMM is a qualitative and predictive model to evaluate the QoN for network systems. NMM also allows for an NE process to evolve with predictable cost-benefit tradeoff. © 2000 ieee.

This article proposes a framework based design for implementing application protocol stacks. According so protocol specifications, network applications are usually conceived through a layered software architecture centered around the concept of messages, sent ar received asynchronously. Of particular interest are application protocols residing oil transport? protocols. When implementing several application protocols, one should look for software reuse in order to promote modular design and limited development effort. Such a goal is reached through the use of a software framework, providing a clear separation between reusable protocol-generic parts and isolated protocol-specific parts. Such framework has been used to implement a protocol stack prototype. This latter experiment showed the power of a componentized object-oriented framework and of common object-oriented design patterns.

The cost of field failures is arguably a very important factor in judging the quality of software. It would be nice if field failure costs could be used before the software is released so as to improve its quality. We introduced the expected cost of field failures [11] as a measure of rest effectiveness and demonstrated that significant benefits ale possible even with rather crude cost and failure rate estimates. In this paper we discuss the main issues that arise in trying to reduce the cost of field failures through better test effort allocation. We introduce improved models and strategies and present analytical and experimental (simulation) evaluations.
