The Multi-Level Inverter is an essential device in renewable energy source applications for generating the high synthesized levels of output voltage at required quantity even though with help of low or medium voltage DC sources. Due to running out of non-renewable sources, these Multi-Level Inverters are playing the crucial role in modern DC to AC conversion systems for making renewable energy sources as alternative for non-renewable energy sources. These Multi Level Inverter mainly facing challenging consequences of Total Harmonic Distortions, switching losses and less efficiency, and these consequences has to overcome for developing reliable Multi-Level Inverter. In this paper a 15-Level Multi-Level Inverter topology is designed with renewable energy source application. In this methodology PV with PO MPPT technique is used to fed the 15-Level Multi-Level Inverter. Due to improvised MPPT technique and pulses to the switches will implies to get smooth output voltage with less harmonic distortions. The switching losses are also less for this topology because of less switches are used, that causes less power losses and makes high overall efficiency. The proposed methodology with 15-Level Multi-Level Inverter is designed, simulated by using MATLAB/Simulink software and compared with existing MLI topologies. The simulation results will justify that the designed Multi-Level Inverter is reliable and efficient. © 2021 ieee.

Observing, understanding, and mitigating the effects of failure in embedded systems is essential for building dependable control systems. We develop a software-based monitoring methodology to further this goal. This methodology can be applied to any embedded system peripheral and allows the system to operate normally while the monitoring software is running. We use software to instrument the operating system kernel and record indicators of system behavior. By comparing those indicators against baseline indicators of normal system operation, faults can be detected and appropriate action can be *** implement this methodology to detect faults caused by electrostatic discharge in a USB host controller. As indicators, we select specific control registers that provide a manifestation of the internal execution of the host controller. Analysis of the recorded register values reveals differences in system execution when the system is subject to interference. This improved understanding of system behavior may lead to better hardware and software mitigation of electrostatic discharge and assist in root-cause analysis and repair of failures. © 2020 ieee.

In recent years, intelligent access control systems using biometric recognition technology have increasingly played a huge role. One of the most crucial decisions a company makes is its pricing strategy. When it comes to pricing, a company must consider the present, as well as the future and the past pricing. It enables a company to make sound judgments. In the process of marketing products, price is the only factor that creates income;everything else is a cost. Guessing at product pricing is a little like throwing darts blindfolded;some will hit something, but it probably will not be the dartboard. Large-scale enterprises throughout the world still depend on Excel sheets with numerous manpower or expensive pricing solutions. Expensive pricing systems are difficult to implement for Medium and Large Sized Enterprises in countries like Sri Lanka. Our goal in this research is to propose an affordable, efficient, easy-To-use and secure solution which can be implemented in Medium and Large Sized Enterprises in Sri Lanka. Manufacturing cost, shipping cost, competitor analysis, customer behaviour are taken as the root factors when deciding the price. The proposed solution includes Machine Learning components which is fed with historical data of these four factors to predict the manufacturing cost, shipping cost, competitor price and customer behavioural factors on a given date and as well as an optimisation component which enables the opportunities to minimise the cost and maximise the profit. The four Machine Learning components are implemented using LSTM, ARIMA, Facebook Prophet and a clustering model. The optimisation model is implemented using linear programming optimise these four components. A user-friendly web application is implemented using MEAN stack with micro service architecture to access this. © 2021 ieee.

The vision behind industry 4.0 is to create even smarter manufacturing facilities. Industry 4.0 includes both hardware and software components, which are expected to seamlessly interact in a secure manner. Thus, machinery and software components from different manufacturers should be able to communicate in a common language. Such a challenge is typically met by introducing a 'middleware' to serve as a joint communication platform. In this paper we discuss the use of OPC UA standard for communication between hardware and software components in a typical manufacturing system. Further we develop a digital twin and present an demonstration of our digital laboratory. © 2020 ieee.

From the last few decades, the diagnoses of diseases are based on a medical test. Electrocardiogram (ECG) signal is one of the techniques used for diagnosing heart diseases. The Electrocardiograph or ECG machine allows removing many electrical and mechanical defects of the heart by measuring ECG's which have some potential on the body surface. With the help of it, doctors are able to determine heart rate and other cardiac parameters. Early and accurate detection of arrhythmia types is important in detecting heart diseases and finding treatment for a patient. This paper deals with the analysis of the signal for the classification of critical and non-critical data using different learning-based algorithms for smart Internet of Things (IoT) based health-care monitoring application using Wireless Body Area Network (WBAN) and how to minimize the misclassified critical data. © 2020 ieee.

A line of research in the software testing community is dedicated to proposing effective testing techniques for finding defects in Android applications. Monkey testing is one of the promising techniques, mainly because of having low setup cost, good reusability across different applications, and being successful in challenging the application under test with corner cases. Despite its benefits, monkey testing suffers from well-known weaknesses, including widget obliviousness and state obliviousness. The former means that the monkey does not utilize specific knowledge about the behavior of the elements in the GUI of the application under test. The latter means that the monkey simply generates random events without taking into consideration the current state of the application and whether those events are helpful in that state, from the point of view of revealing potential faults. As a result, different methods are presented in the literature to improve monkey testing of Android applications. In this paper, we have proposed a novel technique to improve effectiveness of monkey testing by alleviating the widget obliviousness issue. This technique is based on the idea of automated GUI layout refactoring to improve effectiveness of the monkey. We have implemented the proposed technique and have used it to conduct a case study on a real-world Android application. The results demonstrate that the proposed technique is promising in improving effectiveness of monkey testing by increasing the interaction of the monkey with the GUI elements that are associated with the more complex functionalities of the application. © 2020 ieee.

To get rid of the diverse factors and limitations originated in the conventional planer integration design, 3-dimensional (3D) integration seems to be one of the best replacing signatures in current era. But, thermal issues are the major constraint for the wide spread application, further growth and advancement to these highly budding integration techniques. To reduce the generated heat within the 3D IC cooling through the thermal through silicon via (TTSV) is one of the best possible recognized techniques. This paper is intended to provide some realistic regulation to the design of TTSV for effective management thermal heat mitigation. The temperature dependent results for the hotspot alignment issues are also discussed and compared for different TTSV outer materials along with the utilization of time dependent temperature fluctuation generated within the 3D IC active layers. © 2020 ieee.

Real-time database (RTDB) is a memory database system which requires very high real-time, stability, accuracy and consistency. RTDB is responsible for real-time data collection, data storage, data computing and other data services in a power plant distributed control system (DCS). Therefore, the design quality of the RTDB system is crucial to the development of the entire DCS system. Strict integration testing is one of the important means to ensure the design quality of the power plant DCS RTDB interface, but the traditional database integration testing method is difficult to balance test efficiency and test accuracy. In this paper, a combination integration test method is established for the particularity of RTDB interface design. And through the test of specific projects, it is verified that this method can effectively shorten the testing time under the premise of ensuring the accuracy of the test. © 2020 ieee.

The purpose of introducing the knowledge graph (KG) for electric power system is to make full use of the data information carried by the electric power Internet of Things, to describe the concepts, entities, events, and relationships between them in a structured way, so as to provide a more effective organization, management and cognitive ability of the cross-media big data for electrical power industrial chains. This paper firstly proposed an automatic construction of knowledge graph. And then, the detail information in power equipment inspection application was revealed. Finally, the application directions and future challenges of KG technology was discussed.
