Semantic Web provides precise, timely, searchable and well-define information across different sources of data. However, there is need of solving the problem of interoperability due to everyday increase of data from different sources. Whereby, the resourceful information or data integration between human and machines are needed. Thus, more precisely, this paper addresses an ultimate problem of integrating and utilizing the accurate data on information systems. The proposed methodology of this paper includes: (1) grounded theory that focuses on particular interaction between human and machines, (2) developing the analysis;the research introduces the software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) approach, from the development to implementation stages, (3) sources of data;for state-of-the-art research, we propose to use MetOcean (Meteorological and Oceanographic) data, and (4) Research instrument which is to set our research into practice where we will build Semantic Web application using Franz AllegroGraph and use SIMILE (Semantic Interoperability of Metadata and Information in Unlike Environments). Finally, we provide the Ontology model of the for the state-of-the-art research in meteorological and Oceanographic domain. © 2011 ieee.

Artificial neural network is a theory and technology developing speedily in intelligence research area of computer in recent years, which is applied in modeling of computer system simulation due to no need of establishing precise physical model and mathematical model in advance. Neural network is a modeling method of system simulation that has strong application. Meanwhile, this method has the capability to acquire knowledge by learning from environment (namely, obtain the law contained in the internal of system by learning from typical sample data of input/output of system), so it has better application for system simulation. Focusing on some actual problems of dynamic system simulation, artificial neural network model and learning algorithm that applies in complex dynamic system modeling are researched in this paper.

Aimed at the characteristics of strong nonlinearity, uncertainty, time-variance and, strong coupling etc for AC electric arc furnace (EAF), and the traditional PID can not achieve desired control effect. The paper proposes a PID control algorithm based on optimized BP neural network using genetic algorithm, which is applied in electrode regulator systems of electric arc furnace to design the optimized controller. The algorithm optimizes the initial weights of BP neural network by using genetic algorithm firstly, and then adjusts the PID parameters by using BP neural network. The simulation indicates that the algorithm is feasible, and unit with intelligent PID controller has better accuracy and dynamic characteristics.

AADL supports standard accurate modeling of embedded systems and has been widely used in the embedded field. However, as a new modeling language, modeling and analysis tools of AADL are not mature enough. In the field of software engineering, the method and tool about UML model have been developed widely, so we consider designing a transformation method. This method define a complete meta-model for AADL error model and implement the automatic transformation from the AADL model to UML model. Our research makes the method and tool for UML model reused in the AADL model, expands the application scope of AADL model, and reduces the development cost of AADL modeling. Finally, the potential research directions are discussed.

The MediaEvo Project aims to develop a multichannel and multi-sensory platform for edutainment in cultural heritage for the realization of a digital didactic game oriented towards the knowledge of medieval history and society by means of the integration of human sciences and new data processing technologies. During the project it has been possible to test the possible interactions between historical research, morphological inquiries, data management systems and the definition of a virtual immersive platform for playing and educating. The platform has also proved to be a means for validating hypotheses and findings formulated by researchers. This paper introduces the theoretical questions related to the educative use of Virtual Reality technology and describes the steps of the reconstruction of the town of Otranto in the Middle Ages: data collection and integration, organization of work, peripherals and software applications.

MPEG-4 is one of the most important and influential international standard for multimedia data compression coding in the commercial world, its full name is generic coding of audio and visual objects. It defines the audio, video and other multimedia syntax and decoding process, the transmission on the Internet and a whole set of framework about the interaction between human and media, which covering the vast majority of multimedia applications. Its object-based thought enables it a high compression ratio, good flexibility, scalability and interactivity, and other advantages. This paper combines the practical application background of mobile communications, and carries out a key research on the core part of MPEG-4 standard - video compression coding, on basis of a comprehensive understanding of MPEG-4 standard. Firstly, an in-depth study on the basic principles and algorithm of MPEG-4 digital video standard has been done.

In this paper, we used Web Services to build EAM system instead of the traditional component-oriented EAM systems which were difficult to maintain and expand because of its high coupling degree among components. The EAM system based on Web Services packaged system functions into Web Services in different granularity, and invoked services according to business process scheduled. It built a new Enterprise Assets Management Model of high reusability, easy to integrate and manage, fast respond and deploy, loosely coupled, seamless communication upon cross-platform. The application example demonstrates that, Web Service greatly improved the scalability of EAM and enabled enterprises to maximize the advantage of existing information system to reduce costs, increase reuse and improve the performance of enterprise.

The 1-Wire protocol provides a reliable means of detecting many types of errors that may occur in the bit stream it controls. It does so by carrying out cyclic redundancy check (CRC) calculations on data to be transmitted from 1-Wire and iButton slave devices, and appending the result to the data for onward transmission to the bus master as a block. Where the user of a 1-Wire or iButton device wishes to replicate the 1-Wire protocol in software, a number of application notes describe how to calculate 1-Wire CRC values. However, depending on the software implementation platform being used, these notes may not suffice for the average electronics systems engineer. This paper breaks down and compares a number of popular CRC calculation methods into basic tasks that may be interpreted for use in a programmable device that functions as a 1-Wire bus master; with a view to aid in further understanding of general CRC concepts. These tasks, which may also be extended to CRC calculations based on other generator polynomials, were verified by developing firmware routines that were run in a PIC 16F628A microcontroller functioning as the bus master to a single DS18S20 1-Wire Digital Thermometer.

In recent years more and more cities are planning to construct crime preventing systems in order to reduce the loss caused by *** are many kinds of crime preventing systems with different variety and price in the market so *** is the problem that each decision-maker faces jointly that how to select a crime preventing system for a city which would be a perfect *** the stand point of decision-makers,this paper proposed an investment decision-making model for the construction of crime preventing *** model measures the quality of a crime prevention system through expected monetary values of the economic loss caused by *** article also introduced two decision-making methods,which were optimistic rule and pessimistic *** this paper proved the model reasonable through an actual application.
