In this paper, we identify and analyze a set of characteristics that increasingly distinguish today's complex software systems from "traditional" ones. Several examples in different areas show that these characteristics are not limited to a few application domains but are widespread. Then, we discuss how these characteristics are likely to impact dramatically the very way software systems are modeled and engineered. In particular, we appear to be on the edge of a radical shift of paradigm, about to change our very attitudes in software systems modeling and engineering.

Based on the database system coming into running applications, SQL statements on the optimization algorithms and improving the application efficiency have become an important goal. In this paper, based on the ORACLE database management system and the optimization goals, the methods and techniques for analyzing, and the basis principle, are combined together with an instance of SQL statements which outlines the implementation of SQL optimization methods and the performance. In order to visualize the satellite navigation simulation system, the framework of a distributed satellite navigation simulation system composed of multi-platform systems was analyzed. The composition and the functions of the satellite navigation simulation system visualization software were illuminated. Based on MFC, presented the designing and realizing methods of the system information display program and the 2D display program. The Vega Prime program designing methods, using the Visual C++, were introduced, and also the structure, the designing and realizing methods of the 3D display program were proposed. Based on OpenGL, Vega Prime and Visual C++, using the designing and developing methods discussed in this paper, the satellite navigation simulation system visualization software was developed. Practical application of the software shows that the visualization scheme proposed here is entirely feasible for practical engineering application.

3-DOF spacecraft attitude control simulators have been used for spacecraft attitude determination and control hardware verification and software development. In this paper, a automatic balancing system to reduce the gravitational torques influencing the motion of the simulator was described. The equations of motion and balancing algorithm developed for the system was deduced. The algorithm takes sensor data from the system and gives a vector estimating the location of the center of mass of the platform. It can be shown from the simulated result that the locations of the center of mass are large at first, and begin to diminish rapidly after a 60-second test length is in the automatic balancing algorithm. ©2010 ieee.

In this paper, a new chaotic system is proposed. It also belongs to Lorenz system, which has three parameters and two nonlinear terms, and one of the parameters is the bifurcation parameter. The nonlinear dynamic properties of the system such as strange attractor, the largest Lyapunov index, fractal dimension, spectrum, power spectrum and bifurcation are researched via theoretical analysis and digital simulation. EWB software is used to design and simulate the circuit. The numerical and circuit simulation indicates the new nonlinear system proposed can show chaotic characteristics. ©2010 ieee.

Formulating the practical schedule planning for the software project, is the basis of orderly carrying out the software project, is the key of project to success. In this paper, study the application of using the critical path method and related technologies to formulate the computer program algorithm for the software project schedule planning. First of all, to clarify the basis preparations, including determine the project scope, definition activities, activity sequencing, activity duration estimation, etc;Secondly, to derive the critical path, including calculate the active time , determine the critical path;then study the software algorithm, including database design and use the problem analysis diagram to show the core program algorithm;finally, using the program, which is written in accordance with the algorithm, to simulate project plan instance, and according to the simulate result, for the specific management. The results show that, using the computer software programs to achieve the critical path method and the related techniques to formulate the schedule, to reduce the workload of plan formulation, improve the accuracy of the plan, has the higher theoretical and practical value. © 2010 ieee.

Position location in three-dimensional (3-D) scenarios is studied in bearing-only location system. Through mathematical calculation in 2-D scenarios, the relationship between location accuracy and observation geometry is discussed, and the optimal location geometry relationship and the lowest GDOP in the whole observation region are presented. Finally, the relationship between GDOP and the bearing measurements of passive sensors is shown in the simulation results. GDOP distribute figures under various observation geometry condition are plotted. Some conclusions can be used for reference in designing passive location constellations and collocating passive sensors to improve location accuracy. ©2010 ieee.

Both ambient intelligence and wearable computing do need novel hardware and software, yet another enabling factor is middleware, which should be highly capable, flexible and efficient, allowing for the reuse of existing pervasive applications when developing new ones. In the considered application domain, middleware should also support quick runtime re-configuration of systems, interoperability among different platforms, efficient communications, and context awareness. In the on-going "everything is networked" scenario scalability appears as a very important issue, for which the peer-to-peer (P2P) paradigm emerges as an appealing solution for connecting software components in an overlay network, allowing for efficient and balanced data distribution mechanisms. In this paper we go through the state of the art of middleware for pervasive and wearable computing, and we outline our approach that is geared to autonomic systems and based on the P2P paradigm as well as on dynamic refactoring of software entities. ©2010 ieee.
